  1. Rivendell has bern confirmed by a reliable source. @Falconfan1414 put on Instagram that stonewars has backed up the Rivendell rumour and that it will include minifigures.
  2. Sometimes the big sets was relavent GWPs like the forestmen hideout or Eiffel's apartment or the brick build lightsaber hilts. Do we think a LotR gwp for this set ( exclusive or not) is likely? (Regardless of whether it ends up being Rivendell or not)
  3. Yeah, I don't think we need to worry about that, the show isn't known or popular, it'd be kind of like star wars sets for the ewok movies. Though there are rumours of a new spin off, that might get some sets at launch. And then maybe more depending on reception. I like this idea ( though I certainly wouldn't mind RoP sets but each to thier own, may e we'll get something for war of the rohhirrim) Well in the UK at least, the avatar sets are already crashing and burning, I've not seen the in-person without them being reduced. I might be exaggerating a little but it's certainly not popular with kids over here ... ( As most of us guessed it wouldn't be)
  4. Oh that's a good point. I hadn't really thought about that because Rivendell isn't a battle scene but they could easily include some on a armour stand and reuse it for potential helm's deep, prologue Mordor battle, and battle pack sets. I know the shield well as I always play as the elves in LotR Risk. Though I would rather they budgeted for more figures and prints than focused on new parts. Yeah, I didn't mean for a blue sting to replace the normal sting, both along side each other please. I mean we all want additional LotR sets don't we, maybe in the summer we might get some... But one thing to consider is that this will be a much larger more expensive set than the bugle so it can probably get away with more new figs, especially if most of them aren't intended to be exclusive. I mean I would rather they budget for more new figures than msketge ones we get hyperdetailed, none of them need arm prints for example. I hope we get to see the CMF elf maiden hair recoloured for this set. And if we get a few background elves they can share prints. Whilst I would love for them to include the company of Thorin, I understand that they probably won't, they'd all need Thier specific molds brought back and new prints. But I'm expecting old Gloin at least, well I say expecting, I'm not even 100% on it being Rivendell yet. But I can see them including the white council without the company of Thorin. As Lego does that sort of thing sometimes and Galadreil and Saruman are popular characters, especially with Galadreil in the rings of power at the moment. And of course Gandalf and Elrond are basically a given if it is Rivendell. Whilst I'd like this, I'd still say to to prioritise new prints over new molds, and I understand have the hilt with the broken blade as new part but don't really get have the sword shards as new parts otherwise, I think a clear 1x2 with printing would work. Or if they wanted to go all out a dual molded part with clear plastic and silver to have the broken sword as one piece. Or they could just print black cracks onto a sword part. Whilst that is true, often if @Falconfan1414 knows it to be false he will out right say so on Instagram and he hasn't yet. I think technically he is in the films anyway, more of a named extra than anything, cause he doesn't lend Frodo his horse or anything but there would reason to include him as a ' background' elf here.
  5. Honestly it doesn't really need any, they can bring back some of the old ones. But for some to make it extra special 1- A new elf ears plus hair to give us some variety for our non- main character elves. 2- a new hair hair combo for Gandalf the Grey 3- a dual molded stings sonit can have the 'glowing' blue blade.
  6. This set will be $100 bigger than the huge new lion knights castle, we don't need to worry about it being a collection of things like assulat on both or about it being mircoscale, they can capture all the important areas of Rivendell is one cohesive minifig scaled ( or system scaled whatever) build for what will probably a £450 set. Okay.
  7. Is gonna be a $500 set, I don't think we need to worry about mircoscale. Yes the hogwarts was mircoscale but that had 8 movies worth of scenes to fit in it. I just can't see why they'd make it mircoscale
  8. There is the problem that usually they reuse figs from system sets but if we ignore that for the time being and look at other licensed fig scaled location sets. ( As we don't know the £ price I'll have too do it in dollar) Death Star ( the 2016 one as it's more recent) 27 figs - $500 Cloud city (2018) 21 figs - $350 Daily bugle (2021) 25 figs - $350 Diagon Alley (2020) 17 figs - $450 Mo's eisley cantina (2020) 21 figs - $400 So I'd say between 20 and 30 figs is a reasonable estimate. I was not fortunate enough to get all the old sets so .
  9. Ohh, it not been verified by promobricks or falconfan but Rivendale sounds awesome. I imagine the build will be a bit like that one that on ideas ages ago. It might just be the most beautiful set of all time. And think about the minifigure potential... We could get the entire fellowship, the entire company of Thorin, glorfindel, Arewen, Elrond, old bildo maybe even the white council.
  10. If she's has seen a physical figs and not just the video game one, it'd be one of the strangest ways to find out about a new set. But I say bring it on, loved Andor and would be glad for it to get more sets.
  11. Oh whoops, still think it wasn't the right choice but I wouldn't care about a referee figbeither way. Also meant to say that this would've been then prefect opportunity to introduce a hip mounted quiver or even better a hip belt with a stud on the side of the leg and a quiver part that attaches to one stud.
  12. I'm loving this series. The only 2 I don't actively want are the carrot man and the footie ref. Good that only the ones that really need it have exposed skin in Thier torsos, making change skintones easy and making the parts much more reusable. I guess I'll rank them from worst to best ( just how much I like them) 12- football ref: I don't like football and yellow clothes on yellow figs always looks off, also I think the traditional black and white would have been more obviously a reffree but she does have some useful parts, like her hair. 11- carrot man: the costumes were fun at first but there are so many of them that they have to be something special now if they want draw my interest. The sign is fun and the parts he has under the costume might be useful, nice to see he isn't just plain underneath. 10- rocking horse girl: well she's kinda boring ( old face? I think so) but the rocking horse makes up for it. Glad it's in tan, as that makes it more reusable for historical settings. 9 -Koala man: I am only here for the koala well not really. The legs use good, torso isn't much use to me, head seems alright. And whilst it's not of much use to me I like the hat hair as it's got curly hair which can be hard to find. ( Couldn't find any hair like mine in animal crossing or Pokémon, I tend to use Frodo hair in sigfigs but I'd like to see Mirabel's hair in brown or dark brown) 8- potter: not a useful fig but I like it a lot, and the bowl and cup will be useful. I like the 'towel hat' though I'd have prefer a more muted colour for it. 7 - robot - not really useful to me at all but it's cool. 6- newsboy, I like it. Honestly the outfit makes me think of Anne with an E. Useful parts too. 5- classic space dad : I don't have classic space nostalgia, I was born at the tail end of the nineties but I've come to appreciate the classic spacemen. Brown is a boring colour for this context but I guess they don't want to use all the colours up too soon. I'd have rathered real or the new neon yellow or coral but it is a new colour for it so that's good. The baby spaceman is great though and the classic space styled baby monitor is funny. 4- Dino dude: a suit guy done well, one head away from being a dino humanoid. 3- Falcon archer. A great fig but a new member for the faction, I'd not have go for an archer as they can easily reuse the soilder torso. But another historical warrior is always appreciated. And I'll take some for my black falcon army ( I have already made archer with the solider torso but I will definitely find a use. The new falcon is awesome too. 2 - Ork : I will get of many as these as I can. , I'm not super sure on the chima styles legs, I'd have rathered him booted but I'm not gonna complain this is a fig I desperately want. I'm also not sure if I'll keep the neck attachment on or not, I might mix a few up to get some more variety in an orcish horde. I'll have to wait to see it in the 'flesh'. Love the shield . 1-Lego Marie Annetonette is a massive Win. Love the new wig piece. Glad to get the big dress as I never got the queen CMF, and the dog is just a bonus. Overall a return to form and one of the best lineups ever from an official CMF series ( @Robert8 still has the crown of unlincensed CMF king).
  13. Saw these on Instagram first so I forgot to comment. But I love them. Really standout work all round. Great that you've gone with some more niche characters, and I adore the personalised baseplates. I think @Rui Miguel is right in that if you want to apply to work at Lego ( I understand you might not want to) then you shouldn't let the lack of a relavent degree hold you back, you've certainly got more than enough proof of both talent and skill. I'll look forward to them.
  14. Would we know about it already if it was that far off?
  15. Orc, archer, Marie Antoinette lookalike all sound great for historic themes
  16. I guess that's how they do it in action and adventure. It seems like in some subforums its a new thread for a new year and others it's a new thread for the new years sets. It's wildly inconsistent.
  17. there is definite data, we have pictures of the sets,
  18. What are you doing making this thread? Surely it belongs in action and adventure themes. And I don't know if we need a new 2023 thread till 2023, there unhelpfully seems to be a different standard for each theme.
  19. Well I did it, but had an awful lot of trouble submitting it. the images ended up kinda low quality and oddly cropped but I was pressed for times so I submitted it as it was, I will upload HD versions to flickr tomorrow or some time soon, https://ideas.lego.com/challenges/adbda7a2-193f-4ac2-ac5a-c50bae6b9f24/application/22282e5f-146a-41e4-8bd0-bbe75de48227
  20. Eh what other theme would want medieval style bows? If it was just for avatar it'd be less ornate more rustic. If it was just for Hawkeye it'd be more modern. But it's not the sort of part I'd expect for a D2C or brickheadz so if it were to be used in LotR it'd be in system sets. We don't have system sets confirmed but this suggests that they might be coming.
  21. Other than the brickheadz all we know of is a $500ish D2C set, we don't know if anymore is coming and we don't know what the D2C set will depict. I'm hoping for either a Mordor set ( with a 3000ish part Barad-dûr as the centrepiece but also featuring the black gate and part of mount Doom, with minifigs for all the fellowship (except Boromir obvs), gollum, Sauron, Isildur, younger Elrond and plenty of orcs, and maybe some Gondor and Rohan soldiers and characters too) or a hobbiton set, with a big bag End and the garden where Bilbo has his 111st birthday party, coming with all the dwarves and young Bilbo from the hobbit, plus plenty of named hobbits, gandalf and some ringwraiths). Lots of people want it to Minas Tirith which I think is less likely due to relative iconictcy but I'd still love for it happen and it's a dead cert if we do get a proper long running theme.
  22. Well we know of 3 briskheadz two packs, Frodo + Gollum, Gandalf + Durin's Bane ( the Balrog) and Aragon + Arwen.
  23. Not for $500 they wouldn't, surely? All I want is for it to be system or minifigure scale, preferably a location but I'd still love a minifig scaled Balrog or something.
  24. A solid wave, the batmobile is great. Good to see more lanterns, GLtAS characters are always great to see even if not the GLtAS versions. I'd definitely the whole wave if real, except for the mechs as I have those three characters.
  25. Non location sets but they sound good enough. well the 2pack sounds interesting but I know not what to think of the Pirate Snubfighter.
