Lord of the Rings Ongoing Discussion
Agent Kallus replied to Momotof's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Why would it move? Surely by that logic Star wars and PotC should be in licensed to. In fact if Zelda does become a while theme and not a standalone set, then I'd argue it should go here too. -

Agent Kallus replied to Momotof's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
What if they these large D2C( or not actually D2Cs but huge sets) sets for the Peter Jackson Lord of the rings Trilogy and then we get a few system sets for rings of power ( as it was mentioned on the website description) and then hopefully they'll branch off and do system sets for the lotr and Hobbit movies and then war of the rohhorim too. Of course we might not get anything from rings of power, after all website descriptions can be wrong *cough* Klarion the witch boy *cough*. Whilst RoP didn't quite live up to the Jackson films, it was still enjoyable and I'd get sets from it if they were made. -

Lego Dreamzzz 2023
Agent Kallus replied to bricks4live1972's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
This pretty much confirms my suspicions that Titan is Dreamzz. I really have no idea what to expect for most of these. Which is exciting to be honest. -

I know they don't want bootlegs to get the jump on them but considering that bootlegs aren't mainstream enough for lego's target audience and most Afols are purists. ( And even those that tend to know the difference between buying from other legimate Lego clones or 3rd party parts maker than buying bootlegs) it must only be a drop in the lake. Maybe more than a drop in the ocean but you know only a drop in the lake. -
DC superheroes MOC wave: The Brick Knight Returns
Agent Kallus replied to Mandalorianknight's topic in LEGO Licensed
Another great moc wave. I think I'd want to pick pretty much all of them up except maybe the bat-mech. As has been said, the bubble dome on the Superman mech works perfectly. And I know what you were doing including Jason Todd Robin in the set with joker and a crowbar in an abandoned hideout -
This is pretty great! Planning on doing any of the others?

The Deku tree looks quite finished. Some of the others had blank minifigs as stand ins, it didn't suggesting it's more finished and it was a pricing survey so for all we know they could reveal the Deku tree with the next Zelda Nintendo direct with the TotK info. -

Obviously I can't really tell at this level of detail but do Zelda and the elf ( the blonde non- Legolas one near the front) share a new hairpiece? -

But if anything they are even more into big d2cs than they were when they did Simpson, I wouldn’t be surprised if they decided to make lotr a D2c only theme, like they’ve done mostly with ghost busters and back to the future. -

I mean I'm not going to believe it until the information can be verified but I think some people are being a little extreme in Thier responses and being dicks to be honest. At this stage if we can't verify it either way, so I don't think people should be so quick to vilify. -

Pretty sure I happened with Doctor Who, and they just picked one of the submissions and then rejected the other, and made something that wasn't like either of them. On the subject of lego Doctor who. I really hope that RTD2, the 60th hype and the Disney Plus deal can give Doccy Who enough of a lime light for TLG to consider makes Lego Doctor Who again. I know it's probably a pipedream but it would be a dream combination for me. -

I'm sorry that I can't believe you at this stage but I really hope you turn to be telling the truth. I mean a source can't be trusted until we know it's got something right but I'd really like you to be on the money with this (and X-Men set and the Gotham set), though that does make it almost seem too good to be true but I guess only time will tell. But I won't get my hopes up. Also if you have seen them then I hope there were just more figs that weren't shown. -

Stick the eye of Sauron onto a dark tower and people will think that it is the dark tower that has the eye of Sauron? Yes and...? That's like saying you could stick the batman logo and cowl onto any futuristic ninja armour and people would think it was a batman suit. The icon part of something is the thing that people will first recognise? Shock horror what a goddamn surprise. Yes Barad-dûr is iconic because of the eye, yes they might as well call a Barad-dûr set ' the eye of Sauron' but that doesn't reduce the fact that it is an icon location that would made a good set that would recognizable to almost anyone. -
