  1. Yeah I hope this isn't it, they said big come back, a wave isn't 2 sets? Let's get a Keaton batmobile too ( preferably returns based with a batmissile function and penguin and Catwoman included.
  2. 2 different buildable wolverines?
  3. I wonder if you'd use the parts required for Hestu and the other included koroks for the OoT if not then you could have them with BotW Link and Zelda in a little scene separate from the OoT Deku tree.
  4. That could be useful for Garfield Logan
  5. Witch king of Angmar V Eowyn, fell beast, minifig system sets, battle packs, uruk hai, Gondor soliders, Faramir, Mumakill, Amon Hen, Hobbiton, the shire, bag end, mirkwood, Radaghast the brown, Ents, Balrog, Moria, Orcs, Mordor , Gondor, Rohan, Edoras, Helms deep, shelob, trolls,
  6. How do people plan on displaying the Deku tree? It's a 2 in 1 so are people gonna go with the BotW or OoT look? Personally I'll go with the BotW build and I'll moc a little battle stage of some sort and have the OoT Lunk fighting Sonic as a little Smash bros display.
  7. Thought I was in the LotR thread for a second there. Can't see a huge demand for appendix or spleen.
  8. They could do a boko head headpiece with a hollow stud, so different horns can be attached.
  9. No don’t think so. I was only 12 back in 2012 when they first came out with sets based on the hobbit, so I didn’t quite have the means available but if they released more Lotr\hobbit system sets now I would pounce on them. in fact hypothetically if they did make a small system wave akin to the Indy wave with 4 sets one for each film( plus one for the hobbit trilogy) plus a diorama set, what would people expect them to choose?
  10. Not everyone has the originals though. Personally I have Fili, Kili, Oin, Glion, Dwalin, Balin and Thorin so I'd like a chance to get Nori, Dori, Ori, Bifur, Bifur and Bombur even if they are inferior to originals. And most of those I own are the Erobor Versions so the their standard adventuring outfits would be nice.
  11. If they were to produce a hobbit set it would be bag end. And it's a popular enough choice and for a D2C sized one, the hobbit characters would just make more sense. Though I think they might include both. I mean the statue in this set is a repeat of itself so let's say we could get 14 figs of Young Bilbo and the company of Thorin, plus 4 repeats from this Rivendell set, namely Gandalf, old Bilbo, Frodo and Samwise.
  12. But a version of that part sans shoulderpads would be best.
  13. They do need to learn that sets aimed at adults don't have to massive, they are starting to learn with the dioramas but even they are needlessly over done in ways. Just make good system sells and they will sell to the adult audience, it works for star wars it could work here. All that said, I've saved for this and will get it but the point still stands. I mean maybe Lord of Rings could replace Harry Potter, a little time? Perhaps it not as big but JK does like to alienate her audience. And they're running out of new stuff to do with the HP line. And whilst I enjoy the Indy films LotR is bigger than indy ( and closer to my heart) if indy can support system sets so can LotR.
  14. Well they've used a traditionally female head for one of them is all. But only she has a slope, the guy just has grey legs, so if she came with a sitting slope too, I could use one on each of them. And yes I've googled arwens sword and you are absolutely right. Though sprues aren't dead yet, shurikens and wands come paired on sprues. Honestly I see Barad-dûr as a return of the king set anyway so if anything we'd need a two towers one, maybe an Orthanc remake or a helms deep or an edoras? On the one hand I do understand what you mean. This is way bigger than it needs to be and a wave of system sets would have been more appreciated. But on the other they could not have made a set this gorgeous if it much smaller. And with what you are saying there you seem to be focusing on the fellowship and the figures and with my renewed hope for system sets, I don't think this will be the last opportunity to complete the fellowship. And sadly with scalpers this will be cheaper for me than getting all the og ones I missed. ( Though I did luck out the other day and get pippin, gollum, Sam's torso and Frodo's torso in a random mixed lot ( and I already had more than 1 shire Frodo so I just swapped out a torso). This will be the most expensive set I've ever gotten and I do think it is getting absurd but I just can't not love it. As much as can understand the people wanting minas tirinth, I do also think helms deep more likely. It is more prominent in the films and would be easier to capture well at any reasonable scale. But TBH I'm kinda hoping for a system scale one instead of a D2C scale one, I know people who have the og one would be disappointed and rather a minas tirinth but I think most of us probably don't have a complete collection of the old sets ( I only have LotR ones that were under £20, though I did get some of the pricier hobbit ones) Though after Rivendell and Barad-dûr I think A Hobbiton set would be a good third D2C . It could be based on either the start of the hobbit with all the dwarves or the start of LotR with Bilbo's party or both?. The main focus would be bag end of course but they could include the party pavilion and old gaffer Gamgee's house and such like. Whilst I'm actually on the side of preferring fleshies ( I do have more yellows though so there's an uneasy peace), I have to give Kudos to the name Yellowship. Though I will say that the head you've got for Aragorn isn't very like Viggo IMO. Though that's a sore point in this Rivendell set as well. I know he has a new face whilst a lot of the others have repurposed faces but honestly Aragorn's face feels the most off to me of all of them. I mean, now knowing that @Ashnflash had already seen this, it's no surprise that he jumped straight on the Jeangreyforever leaks as he might've already seen some of them but the leaked descriptions allowed him to talk about them with breaking the NDA. I'm really hoping so too. I mean look at all the weapons. This scene has no combat and the only weapon really needed here was the sword that broken ( and I thought they print it onto a clear tile). Honestly I'd love a new pony mold, like the horse but shorter in height and length. Perfect for dwarves and Hobbits ( though of could gimli should still be on legolas's horse)
  15. In the armoury/forge room under the gazebo there are 3 identical swords in a row. Does anyone know what exact weapon they are based on? Because ive heard people calling them elf swords but they almost look more jaggedy and orclike to me. Admittedly it's kinda hard to see them properly as they only seem to appear in that shot in that room under the arch. And if they are Orc swords that would suggest that they weren't made for this set but were included just because they are part of the new weapon pack and so must be included with the others. This would obviously suggest that they were made with another set in mind.
  16. Do we think that Arwen and the female background elf will also have the printed sitting down slopes like Elrond and Gandalf ?
  17. The tan daul moulded legs already existed with Dobby ( cough Gollum ripoff cough) and sadly they aren't on PAB as far as I am aware.
  18. Probably not in the direct then, considering that it's tomorrow and TLG only just revealed the Rivendell set today. Maybe if there's a dedicated Zelda direct at some point before the TotK release?
  19. Eh, it is somewhere between the 2. Either works in my opinion. Though I do prefer the old Gimli there pretty close, luckily I do have the old Gimli, so I will repurse new Gimli for other dwarves. Ironically Gandalf is the figure I have the biggest army of of all LotR characters. Because he was in a lot of cheap sets ( Gandalf arrives, dol goldur polybag, wizard duel) and because one of my Mum's friends worked as part of the Lego newspaper giveaway supply chain that year and gave me a bag of spare polybags ( like 30 of them including 6 of the Gandalf one, and I already had one too, it was a wonderful surprise) I've been repopurseinf the old Gandalf the grey torso for peasants, I never had a Gandalf the white though ( he could be coming in Barad-dûr though, on the back of an eagle?) Have we ever had this many new molds for a one off? (other than specialised heads) I do love the new leaf I mean they don't look as good as I'd hoped but I wouldn't completely judge the indy sets till we have proper clear images. I does look like a best set of all time contender. Not really sure what you're trying to say about a technic structure? I could see that as part of the Barad-dûr set. And ironically it doesn't work well for mantis. Since I already have a mantis and from the gotg advent calendar I might do the same. And I'll give mantis a young herimomie head just to give her big eyes. It is a great set. Though I quite like how the new elven hair works on Elrond with the printed circlet. I do agree it doesn't look too good on legolas but I have the old hair for him. It's the pommel for me.
  20. Yes and? The Barad-dûr was. And the images leak had both.
  21. A shame we didn't get a designer video with the reveal like we used to.
  22. Oh this set has its flaws but yes you are so right, they are but grains of sand against a sea of beauty.
  23. Well if we are talking about recolours there's even more to think about.
  24. Not to mention the new beard and elf hair/ears,
