LEGO Ninjago 2024 Rumours and Discussion
Agent Kallus replied to THELEGOBATMAN's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Ah thanks, though I'm surprised the tournament temple doesn't have any villains. In the show it was the villains who hosted the previous tournament and from Ras is saying I reckon it'll be the villains setting it up again. I wonder if Rontu will be the included dragon or if she'll get her own set in a future wave. I also wonder if it'll be semi- compatible with the Ninjago city sets, I mean it seems to be it's own thing but it could be on water baseplates with connection points in the right spots. Whoops, I edit that ... But yeah I'm glad the wave isn't just Ninja vehicles because that gets old fast and they're usually not too wave specific which makes them even more repetitive. Imo buildings > Dragons and other creatures > drills, boats and mechs > other vehicles... And unrelated but Villian sets > Ninja sets. -

Thanks that's was a detail I was missing. Zane's motorbike:$11 - 84 parts - Ice Motorbike build with 2 figs: Tournament Zane and red and purple wolf mask warrior - June Tournament arena: $50 - 659 parts - arena build with statue and multiple platforms, 6 figs: Tournament Kai, Tournament Sora, Cinder, red and purple wolf mask warrior, Evil Jay and Tox ( might not be Tox) - June Ninja combo vehicles: $90 - 576 parts - a motorcycle for Cole, another motorcycle but this time for Nya, a car for Lloyd and a glider for Sora, these can all combine in to an ultrasonic raider type vehicle combination, also has 6 figures: Cole, Nya, Lloyd, Sora, a wolf mask warrior and a wolf mask general ( who I assume is a named character but we don't know anymore than general yet). - June Cole's Titan mech: $100 - 1055 parts - a very large mech that has wings and a sword made for the Dune set's wing part, comes with multiple figures with only known one being an exclusive Cole variant - June Motion source dragon : $150 - 1716 - an incredibly large dragon, perhaps the largest Lego dragon ever in a set with a throne and gong side build that can be put on it's back, has moulded spirit dragons for each of the other 6 source dragons. Comes with 6 figures(again): Arin, Kai, Wyldfire, Lord Ras, Jordana and a wolf mask warrior. - June Tournament training grounds - polybag Tournament temple city: $250 - 3489 parts - I couldn't find any more details on this set. I'd presume the sets with unknown figs include a wolf mask warrior as they seem to be in every set. -

I've been building this and I've not seen it mentioned so I thought I'd say; the new elf hair hair is dual moulded. Which is nice, it looks better ( especially compared to the painted on ears the gnome's pre-existing hair has, which in my set at least has subpar colour matching and was slightly splodgey at the edges, it still looks okay but I'm glad that the new part is dual moulded). Also means the CMF Gith's hair will be as it seems to use a recoloured copy of the new hair part.- 686 replies

I thought we'd get that shoulder armour piece! I agree that it's a shame it's monotone, though that might make it easier to reuse in other contexts. -

Do we have any idea what the build for the battle of Peridea is? I'd love an imperial LAAT/le patrol craft/gunship. It probably isn't that though, otherwise they'd have called it the imperial patrol craft not the battle of Peridea. The night sister tower or statues would be cool too but small at this price point (especially considering the 'star wars tax') I would assume it's not the Noti pods because it doesn't include any Noti. -

Next magazine fig, is a double pack of mech suit Kai ( with the golden hood from the gimmick sets and cinder). Not sure if this for the standard magazine because usually only the legacy mag has the double packs, but then again the characters make more sense for the standard magazine. Edit- it is the legacy magazine which means a cool tin. I'm trying to a get a tin for each ninja. -

We didn't get tales of the jedi sets, but now we have another option for those September sets in tales of the empire, it looks sick. -

Just because something hasn't been leaked yet doesn't mean it isn't coming. IIRC we do still have some autumn sets unaccounted for, I'm hoping those are our Accolyte sets. ( and if not then can we a Yavin styled Tantis with an unreasonablely good figure selection. And hey while there at it add both legend thrawn trilogy stuff to it on top of the Bad Batch stuff) -

I think the buildable Gru looks pretty decent besides the head, DND for the head it would've looked so much better if they'd just printed his eyes of regular 1*1 bricks not snot attached round 1*1 tiles. Yeah I thought they all looked weird. -

Stupid question but I've not bought a set like this day one before. But when it's April first for VIPs, April fourth for everyone else, that means you can order it online on the first ( with an insiders account obvs) but you can't buy it in-store till the fourth? Right?- 686 replies

LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Agent Kallus replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I still think it's weird that R2-KT is counted as a bonus anniversary figure if she's in the 'anniversary set' because Say Malak and Fives are obviously bonuses because they're not justa regular part of the set they come in. like if they threw her into a Cid's Bar or a Sarlac pit set then she'd feel more like a bonus anniversary figure and not just part of the anniversary set, I think that it doesn't make sense for the anniversary set to include any of the 6 as one would think all of its figures are anniversary figures anyway and part of the bonus figures. This is nothing to do with the figure choice, which I respect, but just confusion as to the set she's in. I mean I think we'll still get some other interesting figures choices on top of the 6, given the dark Falcon, and jedi Bob's Starfighter. I do agree that the KT set should have some sort of cancer charity contribution. -

I wouldn't have thought so. The 25th anniversary set seems to be a different thing to the anniversary figures spread out across other sets. Like how HP had some extra golden figs in the D2C or Gold Wu in Ninjago city gardens, they weren't part of the original group but an add on in a separate set. Edit: okay nevermind it's spelt out pretty clearly on his Instagram post, she supposedly is the last one? -
This series really isn't doing it for me, but the D&D series will more than make up for that. even ignoring D&D as a concept I think that that is a better (fantasy)castle series then this as a space series. Orion, the Buggiod and the ice planet one will be the only ones I particularly look out for. I'd have like more aliens, maybe even an alien crime boss ala space police. The robot chef doesn't look coherent. He'll probably look better with no helmet and grey hands. The pink space baby is fun but it's a shame that they can't decide on a consistent eye style for these. I am intrigued as to how exactly the UFO guy's helmet works. The alien tourist is fun but nothing to write home about. The mutant is a fun idea but feels held back by having an intact torso. In a series with so many spacesuits M-tron guy just look lesser than his contemporaries, I'll admit I have no nostalgia for it though. The real problem here is to me the whole group feel very homogeneous, some that might have stood out more in a generic series feel bland here, but TBH I had the same feeling with the Halloween party themed series and the costume party one. I like the space them but I don't love it. I am in my mid twenties and a lot of thier current nostalgia baiting is from stuff before my time, give us Fantasy era castle revisited please!!!

It is triple moulded, there's an upside down one is the picture and they wouldn't bother to paint the inside. Though maybe the black feet are just painted?

That is a shame, I was hoping it would have stat blocks for all the monsters in the set at very least. I have a player's hand book and a starter set but I wasn't gonna get the monster manual or Dungeon masters guide until the new editions came out. I was considering using VIP points on it and I still might but that is a let down so I might just use them for a discount instead.- 686 replies

It's a reference to a beholder, which is one of the monsters in the set, but the eye logo works well enough for an eye of Sauron look. -

Looking at that sticker sheet, we've got the harper symbol in a picture frame, the seven pointed star of Mystra ( Goddess of magic) on a book cover, there are a few other interesting details there too but I'd need a better quality picture to be sure if what I'm seeing. Like maybe Minsc is in one of the pictures but I'm not sure if it's him or not. Better look at the torso in the brick depot video, definitely Pelor's symbol ( God of light).- 686 replies

Honestly feels like a very Palpatine line to me Anakin: I know enough, the sith are evil! Sheev: Anakin, Anakin no. Good and evil, that's what the narrow lens of the jedi sees, but to truly understand the force one must look at all aspects. No my boy it's not about good and bad, it's about power and who's allowed to use it. Power the jedi won't let you use, the power to save the ones you love! Join me Anakin and we can use that power, we can save her. -
