21348 Lego Ideas Dungeons & Dragons and D&D CMF
Agent Kallus replied to Black Falcon's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
From what I recall the set is April first (and was what the teaser was pertaining to), the CMF is September first and space CMF May first. Unless they start doubling up ( yes please) I doubt they'd release 2 CMF series in the autumn (fall).- 686 replies

Bristol so not very close then, but maybe other Smyth's will still have them in stock.

TBH haven't they been saying that the switch 2 ( or initially the switch pro) is definitely coming next year for the last 4 years? I know Nintendo are gonna make another console eventually but I'm not gonna believe these rumours, I'll wait till I see something official from Nintendo. ( and frankly I hope it's not too soon). I don't know where you are in the UK but I was in Smyth's yesterday and they still had all of them in stock and some of the new sets were at slightly below RRP too.

Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
Agent Kallus replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think ghost spider will just be the same fig we've gotten recently, it would be cool if they gave her a dual mold hood to show hints of the pink inside. Or if they had printed and dual moulded legs for her ballerina shoes ( same style as fairy batman's ballerina shoes but in a different colour). I do think it's a shame that we are getting hydra agents ( especially the weird winter camouflage mixed with chitauri tech look) over Ultron bots. I wouldn't mind if the leviathan was the exact same build as the tower one ( but the price would need to reflect the size). I hope the Surtur battle has a cool 2md fig, obviously Thor will be there, but I'd like to see someone interesting as the other fig, like Hela, Odin, Skurge, Heimdall, or even Surt himself. Those even one of his minions would be new and would have interesting parts for outside of a marvel context. -
You've got my support!

The tease was a little while ago now and nothing more has come of it, but it's March now so I think surely it can't be too far away.- 686 replies

LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Agent Kallus replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Gotta admit thought the eyes were a misprint at first, it might be a stylistic choice but it's not one I like . Not that it's a deal breaker, I have spare old style maul heads and I wasn't planning on getting this set anyway. -

LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

I'm sure we'll get at least one, every live action D+ show has had at least one even if tBoBF got a Boba Fett based set technically based on the Mandalorian and a Mandalorian based set technically based on tBoBF. The Accolyte is a very exciting prospect to me, the first time Disney Era Star wars has ever reached further out of the timeline of the movies in an on screen form. -
21348 Lego Ideas Dungeons & Dragons and D&D CMF
Agent Kallus replied to Black Falcon's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
So looking at the races, I've emboldened the ones we are getting, first the main ones (In 5E). Dragonborn(One in both set and CMF) Dwarf [Duergar] Elf [Drow] ( though there's a presumed elf in the set but it might be a half elf) Gnome [Deep Gnome] Half-Elf Halfling (Seemingly both set and CMF but set one might be a gnome? Looks more like a halfling to me) Half-Orc Human ( Tasha is a human though and I'm sure that at least one of set figs will be human, though I'd personally be fine with no humans as we have lots from others themed) Tiefling And from the expanded races ( I won't list every single 5e Race, just the more majorish ones) Aarakocra Aasimar Bugbear Centuar Changeling Firbolg Genasi (Air, Earth, Fire and Water) Gith ( Githyanki, Githzerai) Goliath Hadozee Hobgoblin Kenku Lizardfolk Loxodon Satyr Tabaxi Tortle Triton Warforged Yuan-ti So only 2 of the non-main races so far. And I must admit I hadn't even heard of the Gith before BG3. To me the most notable omissions are Drow, Elf, Gnome, Tabaxi, Goliath, Half-Orc and some form of Genasi.- 686 replies

[(Digital)MOC] D&D Dice Tower and DM screen
Agent Kallus replied to Agent Kallus's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Thanks, and to answer your question... Not really, it was something I originally wanted to do, the idea was that you could use the little semicircular outcrop with the axel connection to hold paper between it and the main thing. I decided that you would need at least another one higher up in order to hold A4 sized paper securely and the screen would need to be tall enough to completely cover the paper pressed flat against it, and without completing reworking it that would have made it massive, which wasn't something I wanted to do as the original intent was for this to be an ideas set for the contest so I didn't want it to be too large. I did also have the idea of lining up some axles correctly spaced for standard hole punched paper or plastic wallets. So the answer is not really though you could probably hold smaller paper between the outcrop and the main thing, like A5 at most unless the paper was more cardlike and rigid. It would definitely hold one of those cards with monster's stats on that some people use, as they are both small and rigid. To be honest the last game I DMed was mostly over video chat so I didn't really use a DM screen, but as long as no-one was sat too close to the DM they could just hide Thier notes and sheets behind the screen. Thanks, I always think it's a shame that they introduce so many parts like this with so much potential and the discontinue them in a year after only making them in one colour. This means a lot, thank you.- 3 replies

This was originally made for idea D&D contest, but after talking about the gelatinous cubes I made for this in D&D thread I realised I never posted it here. Sadly enough I think it never even made it to voting stage as though I uploaded it before the deadline (only just), I think it had to be verified or whatever before the deadline too. These pictures are relatively low res as I had originally rendered it at too high a quality for ideas and I might have over-compensated when rerendering. The idea was to have a functional DM screen (a screen used to hide the game master's plans and dice rolls form the players) with integrated dice tower (a way of rolling dice, you drop them into the top of the tower and they are knocked on bumps on the way down that helps give a random roll), that also function a minifig scale D&D display. Also included are a dice tray (styled as a magma pit) for the players to roll their dice into, 6 player minis (though I've never actually used minis when playing D&D), 9 monster minis, 2 brick built D6s and a large selection of additional parts and accessories to customise the minis. The main build of the DM screen has a cave dungeon a base with the ground above and a tower with some minor fortifications built atop of that. The left side of the tower functions as the aforementioned dice tower, whilst the right side has storage space inside for the surplus accessories not currently in use by the minis. The owner of the tower is a pale Tiefling nobleman inspired by a particularly memorable session of D&D that I played. I've decorated the ground around the tower with plants, and a washing line. Here's a back view of the build. The curved sections of the roof can be opened to put the dice in, and the will come out in the tan courtyard area on the ground level. There is a goat, that is a given in any ideas project I submit where one could possibly fit, and actually I've included 2 here, the other one is round the front nibbling on the washing line. The amount of spare parts for character customisation is definitely far more generous than Lego would actually ever be. Here are the Minis! (Well actually I forgot one, I was rendering this in quite a rush at the time, but its a goblin (you can call him Boblin) and can be seen in the other images). First up the player minis, the default selection is a tiefling rogue, a human bard, a half-elf ranger, a water genasi sorcerer, a half-orc wizard and a dwarf paladin. the monster minis are a skeleton warrior, a Storm Dragon (It's called dungeons and dragons so I had to include both a dungeon and a dragon.), 2 gelatinous cubes, 3 Kobolds, a Beholder and the aforementioned goblin. Of course the build can be enclosed, the small area with the crates is attached with axels allowing it be moved for a fully shut shape but there are also a few other places it can attach. here you can also see a better look at the dice tray with a golden statue that may well be the treasure our party of adventurers is seeking. talking about the adventurers here you can see that I have remixed them using the surplus parts and accessories that I've included. And here is a look at it enclosed from the front, where I think it makes for a decent display set, as well as being functional when opened up. Finally we have look at how everything included looks head on.

21348 Lego Ideas Dungeons & Dragons and D&D CMF
Agent Kallus replied to Black Falcon's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
yeah I had sorta though that that might be why they had seemingly been omitted so far, but then again TLG are rumoured to making a Notre Dam Cathedral set later this year and if they do that then they will be showing that they are willing to look the other way about religious imagery every so often. They had better not !!! Though with the leaked halfling figure I think we are pretty safe on that front. That's very true and part of why I am so excited for this series, so I can mix and match them with my existing parts to make more fantasy figures.- 686 replies

21348 Lego Ideas Dungeons & Dragons and D&D CMF
Agent Kallus replied to Black Falcon's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
So these are the main D and D classes in 5 edition: ( ones in bold are rumoured to be in the CMF, I've not highlighted the ones in the set as it hasn't been made fully clear yet) Barbarian Bard Cleric Druid Fighter Monk Paladin Ranger Rouge Sorcerer Warlock Wizard (Artificer also exists, but it's not one of the main ones it was a later addition, the Bloodhunter class from critical role is also qausi-offical but I very much doubt we'll see that, and we definitely won't see any home brew classes) So that's 7 out of 12 classes, however it looks like we are getting another bard in the set ( not sure if that armoured halfling is a fighter or paladin, it could easily be either, I mean technically it could be any class but it's probably meant to one of those two). It would be nice if they're going to made a figure to represent each class ( though not strictly necessary as each class isn't locked into a particular appearance) but TLG not completing a group is painfully common so I'm not necessarily expecting it. Though you never know there could be more sets on the way, maybe if the first cmf does well maybe we'll get another ( though considering how long these things take to put into production I'd expect 2026 or 2027 at the earliest). I'll probably buy more CMF boxes than ever before ( though I am putting the cart before the horse, if they look bad ( which I don't expect them to) then I might not.) Races are a more complicated matter ( mostly just because there are more of them and they are less ambiguous in appearance) so I post this post as is and then start on the races.- 686 replies

Lord of the Rings Ongoing Discussion

I'm surprised they didn't just offer you a different colour of horse, the earth orange one is in a production now for example, would work just as well here ( IMO) and is even in online pick-a-brick. -

Agent Kallus replied to Black Falcon's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I doubt they want people to forget about it, they want it to sell don't they? I know they seemingly have downgraded it since the leak, but such is the curse of knowledge and the benefit of ignorance. IMO it's still an incredible set. And the vast majority of Joe public will have no idea about any of that. Being cynical about it, perhaps it was planned like this so that if someone wanted to get the new D&D Lego, they had to get the big set and then they'll buy cmfs anyway when they come out. But it's probably just to space out products throughout the year. On an unrelated note, since we are getting a few in the CMF, do you think we might get a named BBEG villain in the set? Maybe Vecna, since the next sourcebook they're pushing has him front and centre. The figs are quite blurry so there could easily be something missed. I guess we'll see soon enough as the teaser suggests a reveal coming sooner rather than later.- 686 replies

The Minecraft mountain cave, but instead of putting smaller slimes inside put a rib cage. https://brickset.com/sets/21137-1/The-Mountain-Cave It has a face printed onto bricks on one side and the windshield piece with the small slimes inside on the other side.- 686 replies

I think the printer parts are from the set, I think a build like the Minecraft big slime could work for the gelatinous cube, I made a similar one for my entry to the ideas contest.- 686 replies

LEGO Videogame Tie-Ins - Rumors & Discussion
Agent Kallus replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
We haven't heard much on the Zelda set lately but I wonder if it will share some new parts with D&D, I mean the hylian ears are pretty much a match for D&D elves or halfelves ( or LotR elves for that matter). I could see the CMF half-elf bard for example using BotW Zelda's hair recoloured to have ( well any colour cause it's not based on a set character but lets say) black hair and brown ears. -
Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

They were also one of my first introductions to marvel. Honestly I think they really snubbed Ioan Gruffudd in Multiverse of Madness, I mean if that office guy was gonna be Reed going forward that's one thing, but he's not anyway, so why not not indulge in a little nostalgia bait . I think you should watch it and make up your own mind. Personally its one of the my top 10 MCU movies, ( I did say top 5 when I'd first watched it, but that was probably recency bais). Though if you're the sort of person who uses the word woke unironically you probably aren't gonna like it. Anyway forget all that, the reason I came to this thread is the next marvel magazine gift is a whole megablocks mircofighter, the Bowie with Star lord.
