I've got a display case from Smyths ( Ireland and UK retailer though they vaguely recently expanded into mainland Europe by buying up defunct ToysRuses) holds plenty of figs, has led strips and only cost £35. And he's not got superpowers it's just his ring and lanyard ( it was a typo last time but now I've decided it's funny). I've not even read the Kyle Rayner comics, but even I know the fridge story. Classic! Is it the reason the trope is named that way? Really it's not so much the character I fell in love with but the concept. Imagination as a weapon is cool, the world building of the emotional spectrum is cool, green is also my favourite colour. GL lore is second only to batman in terms of superheroes to me. More than any other hero Green Lanyard and the surrounding lore is a whole magic system it's interesting in the same Avatar's bending system it makes the world interesting beyond just the current characters and story's but it's potential. In the Justice league unlimited show they made the dubious decision to have GL wear gold and blue.

You make good points and suggestions. It makes a lot of sense, I agree on the no more multiverse dependency but in my head the crime syndicate is a bit of an exception to that rule. Though I think the problem with saving blackest night for the end is most things like this tend to end in a whimper not a bang. What would you want see in said DC CMF? I hear absolutely no-one ask. I meaning I'm jonesing for Lego Zelda in general, ToTK ( BotW too since they've got a lot overlap) just makes the most sense as the most recent and relevant installment and it is a favourite. Octane thermoplastic does have some cool stuff, thanks for pointing me in that direction.

I mean it would be a very cool cinematic event, much more interesting than just apokolips or flashpoint again. What would you have as the first 'event' ( if not apokolips, flashpoint or Blackest night)? I think there maybe be potential for delays in the case of everyone but one person dying, but don't worry it'd still happen, it's inevitable now.

I like the implication that if just one person survives they would be obligated to make the Lego sets for spider-man 4. And potentially even finish making the movie. It is I suppose the burden of humanity, of all mankind.

See one of my problems with BvS is it copies the imagery of that fight without the emotions, meaning or context. That is two old friends pushed apart. They already know their mum's have the same name, and neither of them hates the other which only makes the duel all the more bitter. I think WB just wanted something to parallel civil war, but BvS was a terrible choice for a Batman's first movie. A batman v superman early days fight that I like is the one in justice league war, though that is more batman and GL V Superman. Also a great line from GL green lantern: 'Wait...You're not just some guy in a bat costume, are you?' Batman : *Smirks* And that's another reason I'm excited for Gun's DCU, finally more lantern Content!!! Both the CW Shows and the DCEU mostly just ignored them with only a few brief references.

This quote well agrees with my stance on new DCU and why I think it's bound be above and beyond the DCEU. Possibly at least on par with DCAMU probably not as good as the DCAU Are there any DC on screen universe initialisms I missed? Maybe more on-topic maybe less. But Colonel Gumm really should've been in the Lego Batman Movie. He's zany, goofy and they could've made him have chewing gum for a head. Is this supposed to be a controversial opinion? Are many people fond of a disease outbreak that killed thousands upon thousands of people and served as another painful reminder of the widespread incompetence of world governments?

I mean TBF we already knew that the star destroyer was gonna be a death star. It's probably still gonna be minidolls but until we see it I'll have a sliver of hops ( I mean more hope for Wednesday rather than Wicked as that's what I'm more interested in.)

He said that? Shocking!!! I'm just gonna put more faith in him now But whilst I see your point, the DCEU overall was such a crock of megablocks that I really can't imagine him doing much worse. Booting Cavil was definitely the right choice. A fresh start is needed ( No insult to Cavil here just the writers). I know you like the Synder cut and I won't argue with that because I haven't even seen it, but the so-called Synder-Verse was an overall mess. Keeping the peacemaker characters is more about having a second season of that show than the universe going forward and it has enough degrees of separation from the main films that I don't really mind it but I do think a completely clean slate would've been better. I used to get giant DC comic showcases out of the library as a kid. They were in black and white (this was 2007 but they were issues reprinted from like the 60s or something) and one of them was World's Finest and the cover was superman and batman on a tandem bicycle whilst Jimmy Olsen and Robin looked sad that Thier besties had a new best pals. They go on silly hijinks. You, uh, you didn't give anyone the chance to answer. But I'll say that they've decided to base a Batmobile and a D2C on BtaS gives me hope that other animated Batmobiles might follow on from the live action movie ones ( 66 has a movie so that sort of counts). As I wrote in the wishlist thread a 'the Brave and the Bold' set and a 'Batman Beyond' set would be cool. I concur. Boomer? It would be a terrible starting place for a MOC of a fig scale batpod. Not just that, Batman is tired of audiences, he knows we're watching and he thinks that gives his an enemies a chance of using it against him if they find out. If he knew about this thread he'd send the Robins to shut down eurobricks. I've not seen this one yet. But because I'm naive and optimistic I believe that it's almost a foregone conclusion that it's gonna be good.

I'd say the more accurate statement there would be that they don't typically do regular sets based on live action shows, they've done plenty based on cartoons.

Superman might be in the movie but I reckon Bibbo will steal the spotlight, Lego Bibbo will be the new theme. Also you say (bat)man is in decline but they recently revealed Barad-Dûr, Which might be the best The Lego Batman Movie set yet.

Hey to be fair, I mispronounce a lot of words when I read them before I hear them and as LotR was a book first I'm sure I'd mispronounce a ton, I read the books at least thrice and seen the movies even more times but I don't think I'd pronounce everything right, even things they say in the films.

I do think that sort of approach could be cool, but Zelda games vary a lot more in looks and style than things like Mario or even Sonic, which it makes it harder to visualise this generic Zelda. I did have an idea that it would be funny if in a CMF Twilight princess Link had Imp Midna as an accessory whilst ( like you suggested) Midna had wolf Link as an accessory, so you got both of them either way. I was almost thinking the opposite, as in have the sets feature mostly monsters and the have CMFs be mostly characters.

Next Spider-Man magazine has Spider-man on a spidershaped mech. Boring figure but nice that it comes with a bit extra. But separate extra thing on top of this multi hundred pound set to complete it, isn't quite as good as the multi hundred pound set having more than 10 characters in the first place. Though I'd love it if LotR did this by releasing an Orc Battlepack after the tower.

I wonder if the set will include a small sentinel as it's antagonist as all the included characters (except maybe Magneto) are heroes. It could have an unbroken version of the sentinel head CMF Wolverine has and then we could have a larger Sentinel as a stand alone set later, like an inverted version the mini-quinjet in A-Tower after the larger quinjet.

I hope that (like Simba, Barad-Dûr, and the Gotham skyline ) it is not changed much from the leaked pictures, the most recent leak still suggests an alternative build. What would be good is if the did the Simpsons/ D&D approach and followed up the Big set with a CMF series ( I might follow this post up with a wishlist for a TotK/BotW CMF ) though there are things just calling out for playsets or display models. Like an Ultra build brick box, a loft wing statue, a botw Guardian, Divine beasts, king of red lions, hyrule castle, etc.

Glad to see Gambit listed. Assuming that Magneto will be a reuse it looks like they got rid of all the villains from the original set and that they made it more explicitly a 97 set rather than a loose 'comic set' tie in. I'm mean all due respect but I won't 100% believe this line up until we see it as there have been lots of small details wrong from previously reliable leakers lately, such as 3 figs with the fell beast, 12 figs in the ISD/ death star, Garmadon in the dragonstone shrine etc. 10 does feel a little low especially as reckon most that can be reuses will be reuses. I don't think they'd put an exclusive character in the GWP but there might be a reuse or a new character made of existing parts. Maybe it could Magento on trial in his hero outfit if the set includes his Villian outfit. ( With a couple of UN members made of reused parts)
