  1. See I thought we'd probably be getting Nokt and maybe the rest of the forbidden 5 in this wave, it was rumoured that we'd see more unknown figs in the cole set but I guess that's not to be. Maybe that means that the forbidden 5 storyline will continue into next year?
  2. No it's different, the D&D CMF dragon is stood with it's wings pointing upwards whereas this on has its wings pointing forward. That is a really good render, it'd be awesome if TLG released a fig just like it, though I doubt TLG would bother doing the colours in the hair like that. Personally I think in an official minifigure the ears would have to be attached to the scarf or the hair ( I know what part it is currently but obviously that part does not reach the ears). I know it would be more show accurate but putting the ears on the head would make for a less versatile and (imho) more cursed part. Maybe? That could be his secret identity? But no autocorrect assumed that when I typed Geo and forgot to space our the next word, that I meant to type George which to be fair is a word I type a lot.
  3. It'd be weird if Tox has the only Elemental master in the tournament other than the Ninja ( also Jay) Cinder and potentially Euphrasia, so hopefully the other assumed civilians in the tournament temple set are elemental masters either new ones or returning characters. Though I imagine if there are returning ones that are the ones that were done recently would just be their recent official figs (Bolobo, Gravis, Chamielle and Jacob) rather than new designs. It'd be nice if George was included but he'd need a new hairstyle ( maybe the new D&D one) if the ears are gonna work, unless they attach them to the scarf.
  4. Even if they say otherwise I'm gonna headcanon it as a prosthesis, even in yellow it could just be a flesh coloured one. I do like the Cole fig, it feels incredibly Exo-force (more so than any other post Exo-force fig to me) though I won't be getting this set ( it does look incredible don't get me wrong I just prefer others and location builds in general), hopefully he'll appear in a magazine, unlikely I know, but possible.
  5. Oops just Cole. I'm generally not a Ninjago vehicle guy but I do like the combo vehicles more than expected, still probably not gonna buy it though.
  6. It looks great! Surprised that it's actually Tox to be honest. But this is easily on my list now. ( I can't tell ( I almost think not) if the baby dragon is the D&D CMF one, weird to get 2 different new baby dragon moulds though, I guess it'll be reused for the spirits in the Source dragon set.)
  7. No, we were discussing the possibility of a fig scaled L0LA as an accessory for young Leia, not the set being a buildable Lola.
  8. So we still know very little about the set Young Leia comes with right? It seems like her only new part is the torso printing which a little bit of let down compared to the other anniversary figs, still there could be more to see, maybe Lola will exist? Even a printed part like a dish or tile would be better than nothing. Yeah I didn't see the X-wing till I saw the video whereas pretty much everything else new in the video seemed to have screenshoted and plastered across the usual places. Though it's not only here as I did see a comment on Brickset pointing out that the X-wing appears to use click hinges on it wings to allow them to both open and be interchangeable with the Tie's wings. That is still a set that doesn't interest me though, I have the most recent Tie and X-wing anyway and have other priorities for my money both in terms of Lego and other potentially more important life things.
  9. I'm going to agree with the turtle here. If we accept that the DC theme has been laid to rest for the time being and replaced with a Batman theme then they have been more creative now than ever. ( especially if we remember that the Lego Batman Movie was technically a different theme) Yes being creative here doesn't always mean the sets we want ( standard system waves with sidekicks, more Villian variety and the occasional non-batfam heros) but things like the shadowbox, the batpod with batman figure and Gotham skyline and even the accommodation to hang the system scale Keaton batwing on the wall are all example of TLG flexing their creative muscles and trying new things. It just means we aren't getting new characters which of course is one of the main things we want from a character based superhero franchise but don't pretend that just because it does really scratch the itch for us that it's creatively bankrupt or anything. The 8 in one curiousity is more proof that they're trying different things here, we might not want them to, we might rather they stuck to the old fig scale batman+ random other hero Vs Villian with the occasional Batman free set. I think we can blame the terrible mishandling of the movie franchise more than TLG themselves for the current state of things. Look at marvel, superheroes has become undeniably more dependent on movies and TV shows and with the incompetence in the DCEU almost all it's movies were turds like BvS or too highly rated for TLG's audience ( yes they do adult aimed sets but wee still shouldn't expect adult franchises) like The Suicide Squad. Hopefully the new DCU will change that Gun does have a better track record than Synder and I can't wait to see more Green lantern content.
  10. The figs look great, the eyes on Ezra I'd prefer black but it's to be expected. Cal I'd have preferred bracca Scrapper but I'm certainly not complaining about what we're getting. Young Leia looks okay can't see Lola though and that would have been the most interesting thing about her. Would be nice if Grogu actually had that scarf type part. I haven't seen the X-wing.
  11. If Lego was as good at naming sets as we are they wouldn't need to waste ink printing pictures of the set on the outside of the box, just have a plain brown card board box where the shop employees can hand write ' LEGO (danish toy company) Batman (DC comics superhero created by Bob Kane and Bill finger, Alias Bruce Wayne, Billionare and Philanthropist) and his Batmobile Versus Both Harley Quinn. (Doctor Harleen Francis Quinzel, former psychatrist in arkham asylum before getting Manipulated By the Joker, she now does crime with Poison Ivy (Doctor Pamela Isley) and Catwoman (Selina Kyle) With her LEGO mallet and LEGO mister freeze (alias Doctor Victor Freeze, specializing in cryogenic chambers, he turned to crime when his wife LEGO Nora Fries wasn’t saved) and his LEGO DC freeze ray, with character designs inspired by the 1992 animated television show “Batman: The Animated Series” Created by Bruce Timm and Paul Dini' on the outside of each box.
  12. Bit of a step down from the star lord plus microfighter Bowie but we know the next magazine ( marvel rather than Spiderman as they are 2 separate magazines with alternating releases) is a Thor minifig. Yes very much agreed.
  13. We need set names that roll off the tongue, here I plan to rename these sets so with further ado Yeah it should have been 'Lego Batman ( Mr Bruce Wayne) with Lego Batman's Lego Batmobile versus Both Lego Harley Quinn ( Dr Harleen Quinzel) with her Lego Mallet and Lego Mister Freeze ( Dr Victor Fries) with his Lego Freeze ray, with design's inspired by the Television cartoon show called Batman the animated series.' 'Lego Batman's Lego Batman Batmech's Lego Batmech Batarang, this set also features a Lego BatMech, Lego Batmech jetpack and a Lego batman minifigure but they exist only to provide context for Lego Batman's Lego Batman Batmech's Lego Batmech Batarang.' 'Presenting the Ultimate Lego Dark Knight movie trilogy Lego building kit with the Lego model of dynamic action and endless play possibilities and it has the model in Lego bricks of a guy from all 3 movies and his bike from 2 out of 3, please purchase in vast quantities' There... That's how Lego should have named them.
  14. New suits each wave Large rooster of villains Whole Ninja team in each wave - complete batfam Non ninja heroes do show up - non batfam heroes show up Ninjago city sets - Gotham city D2C minifig sets Magazine that has a fig with every issue Henchmen figs Parts in BAM boxes General better pricing for the most part Variety of styles with new sub themes each year New parts all the time More building builds More variety of builds in general Larger waves multiple times a year New characters every year Hmmm Ninjago batman actually sounds incredible.
  15. IIRC there might be a few later in the year ( like Autumn) with absolutely no details.
  16. I really hope that when they do these May 4th reveals, that they throw another spanner in the works and cause us to question everything again, that would be funny. Like let's say they reveal a set with the Anniversary Mara Jade and she not on the list and the set itself is not one that's leaked, now that would be brilliant both for the funny factor and just for being an interesting figure and potentially set.
  17. Nien is not a hydrogen bomb, a stun grenade or droid popper maybe, but he was a bound to happen sometime which can't be said for any of the other anniversary figures, even young Leia. I mean an original trilogy character with decent popularity like Nien could have been easily slipped in rebel RotJ set. Malak, Cal, Fives and the others don't have that going for them, so whilst he might be a more interesting character to get in general, he'd be a waste of an anniversary bonus figure slot in my opinion. It's funny that there's a skeleton crew set scheduled for when the Accolyte comes out ( same month anyway) and yet we have concrete information on when Skeleton Crew or an Accolyte set are coming out. Of course this one isn't on TLG , no-one can predict the inevitable crazy dance of Disney plus release dates, more than any other studio or streamer they've become notorious for it.
  18. Interesting video put up by Duck bricks on YouTube, about the development of Hands of time season and set wave. https://m.youtube.com/channel/UC4Sozt-4bZC6jdeA3ZlnuGA?cbrd=1
  19. Storm trooper disguise Han & Luke would be the best option if the set does need heroes, but they'd probably include helmets anyway like they did in both versions of the huge death star set. Yes please, I know its the anniversy but TLG have been seriously neglecting new content (that isn't The Mandalarion or Ahsoka): Bad batch s1- 2 sets, Bad batch s2 - No sets, Bad Batch s3 - No sets, Andor S1 -1 set,Tales of the Jedi - No sets, Tales of the empire - No sets, Jedi fallen order - 1 set (plus 1 bonus figure), Jedi survior - No sets... Visions also got none but I think that's fair. But unfortunately must shows and such only get sets when they're new so I don't want them to miss the opportunity! (Plus if they made a minifig of the bald Vernestra I could use the head to make Phase 1 Vern) Romodi would be good choice as he has never been made and has starting showing up in more places, (bad batch, Rogue 1). And I wouldn't want Nien to be an anniversy fig as he could fit so easily in a rebellion Skywalker saga set. Maybe it'll have alot of small trans-green parts for the super laser itself, after all that is something that would make the set more obviously the death star, rather than any old imperial base. I hope not (though on the other hand it would be cool if every set had one but it's too late for that now, given the destroyer droid) because its the least interesting set by far. Ninjago had the same thing where the six Nina had one I regulat sets and there was an extra one (Sensei Wu) in an exclusive set (The Ninjago city gardens D2C), harry potter also had more anniversy figures than intailly suggested and they were also in a more limited set.
  20. Different franchise but it's also consistent with Rivendell where Gimli and the other dwarf (obviously Gloin even if they don't acknowledge it) have mid legs and the 5 hobbits have short legs.
  21. Climber Cole would be good as would climber Jay. Cinder feels unlikely to me considering he's gonna be in the next Legacy dual pack .
  22. In the other render didn't Lloyd have gold arms with printing at the elbow? Here it's just yellow arms. Also I know it's supposedly just armour but I hope Sora keeps the printed gold arm that I and many other assumed was a prosthetic.
  23. It's just nice to see him get his second ninja suit.
  24. Honestly I don't think rebel battle packs are very interesting, the rebels aren't shown to have a big army and having an army of imperials against a band of named rebels adds to the underdog effect... However there is one way to make rebel BPs interesting even if it means ignoring on-screen screen depictions of rebel troops. And that is by making a rebel BP simultaneously an Alien species battle pack, the battlefront pack with the Rodian and Duros is the closest they got, but I'm thinking no humans at all. Hoth rebels. - build based of the spherical ion cannon turret but smaller with snow trenches - Pantoran rebel officer (with one female head and one male head like in the D&D set, in fact all the aliens using regular minifig heads would have this), Faleen rebel sniper, Zabrak Rebel trooper ( with both a hoth rebel hat and a hair/horns part) and an Aqualish rebel trooper. Endor rebels - an ewok glider build, and a small speeder bike - 2 Ewoks, an Ovissians rebel trooper and an Umbaran rebel trooper. Plains Rebels - a properly scaled At-Rt that the rebels have taken over, and some storage crates - yellow Twilek rebel pilot, Ithorian rebel officer, green Nikto rebel trooper, Besalisk rebel mechanic. Desert rebels - scaled down sandspeeder, like a pseudo-mircofighter - Togruta rebel sniper, Miralaran rebel pilot, Neomodian rebel trooper, Kessurian rebel trooper Urban rebels - street corner with printed anti-imperial graffiti and a moped type speeder bike - Quaren rebel officer, Cerean rebel trooper, Abyssin rebel commando, Rodian rebel trooper Jungle rebels - a tree with lookout tower and a brick built next - Abednedo rebel trooper, Sullustan rebel trooper, Duros rebel jet trooper, Lateron rebel pathfinder.
