  1. A rose is a good call, but would it be red or white? Or both? Some ideas I think could be cool: Hydra, Badger, Toad, Ship, storm cloud, Owl, Skeletal Dragon, Drider, Spider, whirlpool, Demon, Angel, Dove, Laurel Wreath, Goose, Phoenix, dragonfly, lantern, Trident, Sun, Thistle, Thunderbolt, scream. A brick separator could be a fun one off.
  2. It's a family pack of new parts for the helmets, like it was for the Rivendell weapons. you can see the other new helmet that's not shown on any of figures in the picture in the spoiler. Duckbricks also has a designer interview up.
  3. Okay yeah, I'd rather have the helmets than torso prints but both wuld have been cool. also Gollum is cursed, I think it's the combo of too short arms and the strange eye print choice.
  4. The meat on the menu sticker is a fun reference to cannibalism. £400 and yet the spiel is saying you can combine multiple... Well I certainly won't
  5. I'm in love, I already know where to put it (peering out the window) Nd those Orcs are great, shame there isn't more of the them though for a set this size.
  6. The flash set wasn't really cancelled, just retooled into a batman 1989 set ( and that was likely because of the Ezra Miller controversy)
  7. That's kinda what I was saying, whilst Ewoks and humans are both animals and thusly creature as a more human-like species I wouldn't think of an Ewok as a buildable creature.
  8. I'm actually quite pleased with the choice,it's nice when unique or exclusive figs become more available. I do have one ( from PaB not the set) but it is a cool figure with useful parts and the staff build is decent. I am hoping for climber Jay or Cole but I'd rather this to a climber I already have though they do all have cool armour that's nice to get spares of.
  9. Ewoks are creatures but by buildable creature I sort of imagined something more animallike than human like, ewok have their own civilization and are bipedal. Maybe it really is a Zillo and that's why it's been kept under tighter wraps as it might've been a bad batch set. But it being an Ewok is more likely than TLG acknowledging the Bad Batch again so maybe not.
  10. Wall of text incoming but it was just a tumbler post not a video, and the idea was if they swapped cities and rogues. And I can't see you say this without defending Batsy so here goes. Peter may be a genius but so is Bruce. I'd say in terms of traditional science and invention Peter has Bruce beat, but Bruce is known as the world's greatest detective for a reason, he's the better crime solver of the two, I mean it doesn't really take a genius to outwit the Rhino now does it? ( Or Shocker or Scorpion and so on). If you put Norman and Otto in Gotham they would be considered relatively sane. I think if it was just about a straight up punch out that Spidey would indeed have the upper hand but the premise was that Batman and Spider-man swapped cities and rogues. Peter could take them in a fight but could he unravel their schemes every single time forever? Also despite JJJ NYC does love Spidey, Gotham would not. I don't think Gotham would be good for his mental health ( is it good for any gothamites?) Now one thing that makes both Peter and Bruce interesting is that both are simultaneously underdogs and overpowered. Bruce has no powers but money, sidekicks and gadgets galore. Spidey has incredible powers ( though I personally don't like it when they go too far and say yes as strong as hulk and crap like that ) but is permanently broke ( I know they made him a CEO once but again that was IMO a dumb move). Neither Peter or Bruce tend to kill, and both cities have revolving door type prisons, so the real question is not who would beat the other’s villains ( in think in most cases both could beat the other’s rogues ), but who would catch them faster and mitigate more potential damage, and in that regard as the better detective and thus crime solver Batman has the clear edge. Also Peter won't know what the hell the batsignal is. I won't pretend I don't have biases here though. I like both characters but Batman and the lore surrounding him is far more interesting to me. It helps that the city of Gotham has character all of it's own, which is harder for Spidey to have since NYC is a real city and in the marvel universe I can't be used as a tool just for his character because it has superheroes pouring out of every nook and cranny, some would say too many superheroes for one city at least most of the other Gotham heroes are batman adjacent, so it can be a better narrative playground for Bruce than NYC is for Petey. In short Gotham was designed for batman and some webheaded neophyte isn't gonna do a better job of being it's protector. (That said I think a fun crossover would be a Batman and Robin dynamic with Bruce and a young Peter or Miles. ). (Though if you like the idea of a comparatively new hero with a More spidey like personally battling it out in Gotham then we've got Batman Beyond for that, Terry is also quite similar is ‘Title card’ in some ways.) Looking at the rogues it's important to remember that there are a lot of different versions of each. Otto’s superior Spider-Man wouldn't have much trouble with the 1966 Adam West rogues, but Spidey and his amazing friends Peter would die pretty much the instant he stepped in Arkham city. The goblin and joker comparison shows they have vaguely similar motives and personality but I'd argue beyond that and colour scheme they're not really the most similar guys here, that'd probably go to clayface and sandman who are pretty much interchangeable in terms of power set, and black cat is kinda just Catwoman let's not pretend she isn't. Kingpin and penguin also fulfil similar niches, though It does show us the trend that batman has lore intellectual opponents and Spidey more physical opponents. Take the riddler for example, marvel’s knock-off is a much more minor character than the riddler. The two proper schemers that come to mind for Spidey are Otto and Norman, and from my admittedly biased perception I don't see either of them outwitting Bruce to a great extent. The powerhouse villains like Electro, Killer Croc, Manbat and Vulture are never really as much of a problem as the smart and scheming villains like Doctor Octopus, Hugo Strange, Ra’s Al Ghul or Mysterio. Mostly just because a Villian plan that consists of punch punch punch or blast blast blast isn't as fun to watch. Venom is a hard one to categorise because the symbiote is as much of a power up as a villain, but talking about power ups Venomised batman and lantern ring Spidey would both go hard. I'm not really trying to say that Bruce is gonna do so much better here, just that he is in no way out matched by Peter. Powered might seem to give Peter the edge but we have to follow the logic set out by the universe where Bruce outplays superpowered individuals time and time again. In a straight up cage fight fight sure, spider wrecks the Gotham villains but duking it out across Gotham? He doesn't have the edge over Bruce there. Ultimately it is kinda of a stupid question in the first place as the character that wins any such matchup is just always the one the writer thinks makes more sense for the story at the time. But I couldn't just stand here and watch you slander Batman in his own thread. TL:DR - 905 words isn't too many, try again weakling.
  11. Red hood is a double agent right? I saw that too, but it is what the french would call Le Bullshité.
  12. Oh, fair enough that's more reasonable, sorry for the misunderstanding. She's been both.
  13. Don't do that, it's a dick move trying to get people to prove that they're 'real fans'. It's like that Name every clone meme. But to hypocritically prove I can: 1 : The Cavalier 2 : The Ten Eyed Man 3 : The Book Worm 4 : Owlman 5 : Dracula 6 : Gotham Girl 7 : the Music Meister 8 : Punchline 9 : Spellbinder 10 : Captain Clown
  14. Brickset has a review of the boat.
  15. I mean I make digital mocs and the only one of those that really rings true for me is the colour one ( of course it can a hard to know how fragile a build is without building it). I'd love young justice but sake of variety I'll list 4 different things. 1) Green Lantern the Animated series 2) Dark knights of Steel ( not Dark knights:Metal they are very different things and Dark Knights:Metal kinda sucked) 3) DCAMU (Detective Comics Animated movie universe) 4) Wayne Family Adventures Yes!!!!
  16. Joker would torture his loved ones, try to make him break his moral code. It was joker's actions that created Injustice superman ( though I think a traditional superman would not break the way Injustice did). There's a TLBM Movie adjacent set coming soon if you count the eye of Sauron! It's on my list! ( Though admittedly not for batman reasons)
  17. Agree about the part, disagree about the colour, I think it's bright light yellow with trans orange parts around it.
  18. The Watchtower (£350) - includes the watch tower space station with a mini Javelin in it's Hanger - 26 minifigs - Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Hawkgirl, Jon Stewart green lantern, plastic man, Nightwing, The Flash, Kid Flash, Miss Martian, Red Tornado, Green Arrow, Aquaman, Superboy, Artemis ( the wonder woman apprentice not the goddess or the green arrow apprentice because DC repeats names to often), Orion, Power girl, Doctor Fate, Zatanna, Amazo, Brainiac, Reverse Flash, Lex Luthor, Ultra Humanite, Larfleeze Batman's spaceship VS the red Lanterns (£55) includes a batman themed space spic that can dock with the large watchtower set and a red lantern asteroid base with large power Battery - 6 minifigures and 2 cats - Batman ( Green lantern), Guy Gardener Green lantern, Atrocitus, Bleez, Raver + Green cat form beastboy and Dex'Star. Attack on Odym (£15) - a blue lantern power battery build with some plants - 4 minifigs - Saint Walker, Ganthet, Sinestro, Arkillo Two face's getaway (£22) - a van, plain white transit on one side, grey armoured and spiked on the other - 4 Minifigs - Robin (Dick), Two face, and 2 twoface goons ( perhaps the twins from BtAS or Tweedledee and Tweedledum or Sugar and Spice from Batman Forever) Batman Beyond Batmobile - £35 - build is the Batmobile - 4 figs & a dog, Batman beyond, old Bruce Blight, Inque + Ace. Legion of doom headquarters - £90 - the skull spaced swamp base - 8 figs + giantanta maxifig build, Lex Luthor, Cheetah, Star Sapphire, Solomon Grundy, Count Vertigo, Monsieur Mallah ( with a the brain build), Booster Gold, Blue Beetle ( Ted Kord) Batman the brave and the bold Batmobile - £35 - 4 figs - Batman, Aquaman, Vigilante, blue beetle ( Jaime Reyes) Manhunter blister pack - £10 - 3 Manhunter ( 2 intact, 1 damaged) with a small turret build
  19. The newly announced hunt for Gollum movie. War of the Rohirrim we've known about for a while and is coming alot sooner.
  20. 1 - Yes, I'm excited (Well perhaps cautiously optimistic is a better descriptor) but it's not really lego related. 2 - YES VERY, Now that it's in the hands of someone competent the DC cinematic universe might just work. 3 - it's cool and all but not a priority for me. 4 - even cooler but again not a priority and my lego budget is both finite and spread across themes 5 - I like it, It's on my Wishlist but not a priority 6 - Cool concept but not excited per say 7 - The best batman movie ever released but hardly relevant now? 8 - Vaguely interesting but not really my sort of thing. 9 - no 10 - nothing special tbh
  21. I think the original line up was pretty good (Xavier, Magneto, Mystique, Sabretooth, Emma Frost, Storm, Beast, Cyclops and Wolverine), I wouldn't be surprised if it's changed but I think that should be the assumed starting point. I know people want Mister Sinister but if they're adding characters I'd prefer more X-men rather than more villains. Gambit and Nightcrawler please (I also wouldn't mind a Rogue repeat since I didn't get the new X-jet, but if we're lucky she'll appear in the marvel mag) Jean would feel like a notable exception so hopefully she shows up somewhere too
  22. No, but I'd guess around somewhere £400, given that it's US price is in between that of Rivendell/Avengers Tower ($500/£430) and gringots ($430/£370) Unrelated note but would be it foolish to expect some smaller sets to come out in time for the new film?
  23. Yeah Phantom Ganon was what going for. Brickclicker didn't specify which Link, just called them Classic Link but they called OoT Young Link 'Classic Young Link' so they probably mean OoT Link. I agree that a different Link could've been more interesting like a TotK Ancient Tunic or something.
  24. I get why people want an all Stormie battlepack, but honestly I'd be disappointed with a battlepack with no new figures ( and I don't want them to redesign the stormtrooper again). There's plenty of unmade imperial troops they could do like the Black scout trooper ( storm commando), the Purge trooper, incinerator stormtrooper, Magma trooper, night trooper, night death trooper, army trooper, TK trooper etc. On an unrelated note looks like the next magazine after the 501st specialist is gonna be a Lambda shuttle mini build.
