Lego City 2022 Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
So far I got 3 garages (2019 Fire, 2022 Fire and 2022 Space Launch) , I might make a combined Fire/Police department that way as currently seperate sets starting to take up space, and building a bit taller seems more logical for a shelf. 3 Garages could be for Police/Fire/Ambulance combined with the 2018 Hospital (and possibly 2022 hospital later) -
Prices/design budget are probably decided at least many months if not a year or more before official set reveals. I have a feeling 2023 onward will have a more noticeable increase, or even adjustments on existing sets like 2022 adjusted a lot of prices in Euro and UK , both up and down. (3-in-1 Pirate ship increased by €20 , while it was an existing set from 2020) That said, at this point it can vary so much per theme/set per region.

Lego City 2022 Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion

The box picture angle on that passenger train makes it look weird but I think it'll turn out a lot better in video reviews. Big drawing point for people is the fact it's brick built instead of a big 1-2 piece canopy as well, and the much longer passenger cars compared to 2018. I'm not a train collector myself though. Pictures are one thing, Videos and reviews do certainly add to that, but even then, I often discover new things after building a set, for example parts used internally. When building some recent City sets, I noticed LEGO uses some pieces in unexpected places. Quite a number of 2022 city sets use mudguards inside builds without being used as mudguards, just hidden inside a build as a 2 plate thick piece. Overall, there seems to be a lot of design taking in mind to connect plates strong enough, but also prevent too much stress on parts by not connecting all studs all the time, as many City vehicle bases also use tiles inbetween long plates. -

Just noticed the figure in the upcoming 3-in-1 31130: Sunken Treasure Mission seems to have an unprinted version of the Daisy Kaboom hair. Edit : ok, looked it up further, it's not new at all, 2020 in black, but still nice to see different hairstyles used even in 3-in-1 figs. -
Those magazines with Lego included.
TeriXeri replied to Agent Kallus's topic in General LEGO Discussion
It varies per country, different countries have different languages and publishers, and even different types of packaging. I noticed for Netherlands (Meis&Maas Publisher) City got fewer magazines since I believe last year, so instead of getting 12 I think there's only 6 now, so not everything listed on Brickset is guaranteed in each country. Also release dates of what miniset seem to vary per country as well. -

I just experimented a bit with City road plates, and they can easily make a rudimentary 32x32 or 48x48 landing pad for the new Galaxy Explorer, the stripes on the 2x4 tiles are flexible to adjust to scale like that. Sure it's not as accurate to the original but it's still a LEGO landing pad using relatively few parts, a 32x32 landing pad would only need 1 set of 60304: Road Plates -
10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
TeriXeri replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Maybe the King of the Castle is on a Crusade? Like King Richard I (Richard the Lionheart). The first Lion Knights are often called Crusaders. In catalogues, the original 1984 Castle is called Castle Lion in UK, but in US it's was named King's Castle. Unless the King was one of the Knights (like King Richard for example), we only see a Queen/Maiden/Damsel figure.- 2,976 replies

3 months later most of the Xtra are retired or removed from the LEGO.com shop entirely , in both EU and US, so they likely have stopped producing altogether.
-
The small pine tree has been in 3 Xtra polybags, the large one in 1, but right now Xtra theme seems to have retired. Forestmen can certainly benefit a lot from the newer/wider variety of plant parts.

Could a "Like" button be introduced?

I'm not patronising for anyone, nice try That said, I'm not an admin here, so I'll leave the word about image uploading/hosting to them now, okay? -
Looks cool, hopefully this recent Epic / LEGO partnership will have to do something with the Unreal Engine (and not fortnite)

Completely not needed when sites like imgur let you upload an imagine in 2 seconds, and people who want more permanent solutions would host on other places. Eurobricks has image / video embed, takes no skill to use compared to the old html code and whatever was needed years ago, you can even set the dimensions of images now. -

I like the smaller helicopter included in the 2022 Police Station since it can fit on the helipad/roof, and my other Police helicopter with a net shooter is the sky police set which still has a unique design imo. People might dislike sky police but I think it had a great helicopter, jet and armored truck, I didn't get the airbase as it spent more pieces/budget on an empty huge jet instead of a building. Also, surprisingly the 2020 helicopter is still sold until the end of this year : I can see the appeal of the 2022 helicopter though, it has open side for dropping a figure down on the roof of the bank, makes a cool play scenario in that Bank set, and those larger City sets are certainly scenario sets to protect the bank/capture criminals, or put out the fire in the Downtown Fire/Sardine sets from 2019/2022. I'd still like to see a more compact way for sliding side doors without going 8+ wide. -

Agreed a Queen leader isn't a bad thing. Even in Nexo Knight the Queen was said to be from a Warrior family, and the Princess (macy) rather wanted to be a Knight instead of a fancy princess, and I like to pretend that Nexo is from the same planet as Castle is, just way into the future (one TV episode even had a theater re-enactment with a yellow castle backdrop)- 2,976 replies

I wonder what they'll use for the tails , the old piece retired 20 year ago, but since this version of the ship is said to be bigger, the Tail 4 x 1 x 3 would work (also used in benny's) Also certainly hoping for some throwback printed slope computers. -

31097: Townhouse Pet Shop & Café also had a better Bank (without vehicles), it's 3-in-1 but had a windowed-off area where the bank tellers can stand, with a safe with a keypad. (2022 building isn't bad but comes with vehicles I don't really want right now) -

I'll probably convert the building from the older 2019 Downtown fire set to a Bank/Mayor office type building. I compared the 2022 Fire Chase Pickup truck to the 2019 Fire Chief Truck and the size is very similar, it even has a pretty much identical sticker for the side build electronic box, one is in grey one is in black but the electronic print is the same. One thing I'd improve to the 2022 Fire Chase pickup truck would be to add 2 transparent blue 1x1 studs or cheese slopes to the front grille as there are 2 empty spots. -

Viking did get some popularity in multiple ways so can't be underestimated. Valheim, Assassin Creed Valhalla, God of War Ragnarok (releasing this year) just to name a few games. And of course The new Thor movie / LEGO set. -
I never got a Forestmen set, but I did always like the concept of them, so this GWP sounds incredible. Closest I got was the reference in a Nexo set with a Forestmen Robot called Robot Hoodlum with a forestmen 1x1 emblem, and green hat, but now it's going to be real, they are coming back in 2022 in 2 sets (1 being this GWP)

LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I rebuilt my older family member's original 928/497 back in 2015 , reignited my interest in LEGO after a 15 year period, and started collecting new sets after 2016 with nexo knight helping out as a new theme that interested me. So this set is very special. I have not mixed old and new LEGO but I certainly won't feel as bad about the original being yellowed/cracked/missing pieces from it's 40+ year lifespan and very played with for at least 25 of those (either as a set, or parts wise in many aircraft/spaceship builds with the many wing plates). Maybe it's time to bring the old space crew into the modern world (multiple yellow/red/white spacemen with very faded logos) -

New Galaxy Explorer will be actually true https://www.promobricks.de/lego-10497-galaxy-explorer-neuauflage/144161/ 32 cm wide 52.5 cm long 1254 pieces 4 figs (2 red 2 white spacemen) Such awesome news and 2022 already was an interesting Space-related year (City Space and Monkie Kid had some great selection of sets so far, and that Space Mission set isn't bad as a parts pack, and Friends also has a Space shuttle) -

I actually love that Supermarket and Food Truck as well, the "Fresh" might be similar to Hello Fresh, but I think it's right with the times, local fresh foods. Also with the Clarkson's Farm series on Amazon, which had a lot of positive reception, it's quite easy to imagine a non-commericial farm setting. (commercial farms can have thousands of cows, or even tens of thousands) I have no problem with open backs or roofs that much as most my collection buildings are 3-in-1 or City, not Modular Expert sized stuff. LEGO has been adding more 8x16 and 16x16 plates in sets, not just road plates, so adding a roof isn't that hard.
