  1. Yes, 4 of the Winter 2020 sets seem to be missing still : 60255 Stunt Team - 62 pieces 60256 Racing Cars - 190 pieces 60257 Service Station - 354 pieces 60258 Tuning Workshop - 897 pieces Stunt team sounds like a quad or motorcross small set, or 4+ , team seems to suggest 2 vehicles Racing Cars is called "duel" so must be 2 as well.
  2. I hope the "Tuning Workshop" set has a garage door at least, that set is still the biggest not yet revealed City set (897 pieces)
  3. IRON man mech covered in GOLD ingots just thought that was funny (I know Gold is part of his color scheme, it's just a joke)
  4. Shops, Businesses and Restaurants (and food/shop vehicles) overall seem to be fairly complicated subject as they are divided between many themes right now, and I don't think they can simply put it all under 1 theme. I think the main advantage of putting some shops under 3-in-1 still are the alternate builds, in the last 5 or so years, there's been multiple shops that turned into entirely different shops with the alternate builds. Recent examples are the 2017 Corner Deli into a Flower Shop , 2018 Sweet Surprises Shop turning into a Swimming Pool, 2019 Petshop/Cafe turning into a Barber+Dentist or Bank, and 2020 again Toy Shop into Flower Shop or another Cake Shop. I'm not saying City buildings can't be repurposed or MOCed into different shops, LEGO used to have basicly 2-3 alternate builds on the back of boxes, now it's up to the builders themselves. 3-in-1 just acts as a little extra guideline. However we seem to be getting more and more shops in City sets lately. - Pizza Van being sold for nearly 3 years, now, (retiring soon) , Ice Cream truck likely the direct replacement - Donut Shop / Toy Shop set - Ski Resort (Ski Shop / Hot Chocolate stand) - Burger Bar - People packs / Polybags / Magazine Gifts : Icecream/Hotdogs/Pizza Also various food items within other sets, like pizza in space sets, popcorn in 2019 fire station, hotdogs/chicken legs in camping sets, cupcakes in hospital shop, cookies/donuts in advent calendars , and then Xtra food packs. I'd love to see more non-food shops (beside just toys/pets) in City/3-in-1 as well like minfiig accesoires , hair salon (hairpieces) , torsos/legs as clothes shop, and a true supermarket minifig set, but most of this seems to be just under Friends right now. Maybe also Xtra packs with just minifig heads / torsos / legs to expand customization , I know people packs kind of serve that purpose but aren't cheap.
  5. City/Creator does have some representation of sports in it's sets, it's just not as directly focused as they do with Friends, which have actual sports location sets like gyms and competitions (as MAB posted above pictures) City seems to mainly have focused on winter sports recently with sets like 2018 Ambulance Helicopter, 2019 Snow Groomer and Ski Resort , and advent calendars have some snow/ice sport usually. Beside People Packs (Park/Beach/Outdoor) and the occasional sailing/surfing/diving set, there's not many other sports represented regularly. Creator has had skiing/snowboarding in 1 recent set, a basketball ring on 2 houses, and skateboards/surfboards in various sets but also no major "Sports" locations unlike friends. I also would love to see more minifig horses again, it's been a long time since there's been any regular minifig horses in a non-licensed set. (unlike the Friends-style horses). I think LEGO can easily put things like houses, shops, sports into City if they wanted to, but ever since Friends appeared, some types of sets stopped appearing very little to none at all in City. 3-in-1 could be seen as an extension to City in some ways as it has had actual minifig houses and shops in recent times, but Friends is where the majority of such subjects seem to go (Sports/Activities/Houses/Furniture/Cooking/Jobs/Talent related sets)
  6. Isn't an app basicly "gaming" as well ? and LEGO releases it's own games for 20+ years now, including having many many flash games on their website over the history. Minecraft and Overwatch also are themes where LEGO basicly profits off gaming.
  7. The summer 2019 Friends line has a swing ride with chains. Maybe not as big as a Creator Expert set, but still not tiny either : 41375: Heartlake City Amusement Pier
  8. I'm okay with repeating figures to a certain point, and Duke Detain has got a dual-sided face so that's 2 variants already, of course I realize he's basicly one of the main characters of the show, I'm just hoping if they'd use him in 2021 for example it'd be a slightly different one Of course, swapping minifig parts is always the other option I have many of the same Nexo Knights characters, but each year they did change the torso/leg printing and armor and the same figures in the same year had a slightly different weapon build to set them apart.
  9. If we just look at minifig / minidoll themes right now, there are more licensed then non-licensed themes. Elves and Nexo Knights retired, and so far Hidden Side is the only new minifig theme that came in it's place. Some themes like IDEAS and LEGO Movie 2 share both licensed and non-licensed sets. Overall Licensed themes aren't even a problem as long as variation is there. Non Licensed traditional themes : Pirates : 1 large IDEAS set for 2020 (first pirates set in 5 years which is good) Space/Sci-Fi : LEGO Movie 2 (retiring soon) , City 2019 Space Subtheme , and Ninjago 2020 (Sci-Fi) Castle : Ninjago 2019 had the Castle of the Forsaken Emperor , but for 2020 not much yet. I do hope something new for summer 2020 or 2021.
  10. I think the LCA figs with names are fine, as long as they don't repeat the same figure over and over. This wave has 3x Duke Detain which imo is about the max they should do, as I understand not everyone gets 100% of the sets. Freya has a new hat/helm piece and a different suit. The rest of the figures have good variation, even the unnamed ones, I do hope there's extra hairpieces included for the figs that wear helmets. As for headgear that seems to be missing is a police hat, last time used in 2019 but only in the biggest sky police set. But I understand such flat police hats are used less nowadays in some countries. Overall, no major complaints about the figures.
  11. Fun LEGO build video of the Porsche 911 RSR & 911 Turbo 3.0 Speed Champion set. Credit goes to DRIVETRIBE
  12. If I end up with multiple of the same character at some point (like Duke Detain possibly), I'd likely just change their hair and at the very least use their alternate face if available.
  13. Maybe this Ninjago wave could be remotely compared to some 2018 Nexo Knight cyber vampire faction ideas, but for me this is far away from Year 1/2 Nexo Knights , maybe it's just not cohesive enough. I do like the return of a lot of neon yellow and orange, but the most interesting sets to me seem to the be the arcade machines and I get some distant Insectoid Vibe on the Cyber Dragon, possible due to the yellow wing elements.
  14. For me, I'm not 100% decided on what police station to get yet, but, I do want one for my City as I got none atm. I only started collecting Police, Fire, and Medical sets this year, and I have the Hospital/Fire Stations already. The small box does seem to offer good value (assuming retail price is €40 at most), but on the other hand it's only 4 studs deep. While the larger station is bigger and deeper at what looks to be a 16x8 studs jail and office, the garage parts just seem very shallow as well. Of course it also depends on how deep discounts go. It's still too early , often I think I want sets when they are revealed, but end up not getting them at all after some months. After Nexo Knights ended I'm more selective on what sets to get, and even skipped City/Creator sets in 2019 that I was actually very positive about before and after reviews, LEGO simply has so many sets nowadays.
  15. Ok, the first images on brickset didn't clearly show those.
  16. Not my type of sets but at least LEGO tried something to make it look more like the actual movie style / color palette. Using canvas parts does actually help the style here. Overall , not bad for their intended purpose even while I only saw the trailer for this and not movie 1. 2 characters from the original figures teaser seem to be missing : the red mohawk character and the smaller yellow character that's basicly 2 minifig head parts and a tophat.
  17. That's a very nice one. With a lack of Castle themes right now, IDEAS can be the way to get at least something (it did for Pirates).
  18. The red car set is just so much better then the green rocket car imo.
  19. Ferrari F8 certainly looks great (in the rendered image) and the 8 wide and new windscreen greatly helps it's shape. 2 Figures side by side is nice as well. Best SC set of the wave so far.
  20. Images of Play Cubes : https://www.promobricks.de/lego-friends-2020-setbilder-und-infos-des-ersten-halbjahres/88977 Kind of interesting concept, not a huge fan of the "random" pet in it, but based on packaging looks like you can see it would be a bright colored bird/dog/bunny/cat/hamster
  21. I do like the PD box a lot, depending on price point , I actually might go for this instead.
  22. Oh wow more sets, thanks. Mail airplane = amazing , 4 wide, yet a very classic look. Good color scheme, and the little bird could act as a mail pigeon. Safari truck = amazing , a Lion(ess) as I predicted, and following the classic zebra stripe pattern of the old Town safari truck . Even the Poilice builder box seems a decent addition/alternative to the 2020 Police Station set.
  23. I 100% agree here, the 4+ sets especially aren't in my interest but I can certainly see them have a place for kids transitioning from Duplo to LEGO.
  24. Maybe it's the 31064 Island Adventures guy that returned home after his adventure and now started a burger shop : Instead of growing his beard like last time he grew a larger mustache
  25. Even while I like the 2020 design, I do agree it doesn't feel like a €100 set, I'll likely wait for a decent sale to pick it up, seeing 30-40% off for City and Creator 3-in-1 happens eventually for many of the medium/larger sets.
