After making my Human Town from Warcraft II, I decided I had better follow up with some of the Orc buildings. This was particularly hard to make, given the source material being curved, but I think I got the shape to the point that I like it. Enjoy! Original Picture:

My recent order of Brickwarriors gear arrived yesterday, and I decided to add some of my own touch ups with some modeling paint. I used a bit of red and gold on the hats and a silver on the muskets and pistol.

Warcraft 2 Micro Scale Human Township
durazno33 replied to durazno33's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
The cogs were a little hard for me to get as I usually don't work with Technic stuff but I had these mixed in a box and I'm glad to have found them. Wasn't that the best! I always dreamed of doing it during a multiplayer map with a new enemy and making them think they were getting attacked. AHHHRGG.. the sheep are exploding! Could be fun. Each building comes out of the display on it's own plate so it is possible. They add some great variation. They are an interesting color for trees but I think it worked here because of the green base.- 10 replies

Micro Warcraft 2 I began working on each individual building a few months ago but finally finished assembling the display. The inspiration for this display began when I completed my Warcraft: Orcs and Humans micro last year. I figured it was time to go on to the next game Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness. I started with the human town center and built out the basic buildings of the lumber mill, barracks, blacksmith and the farm. Of course, the build wouldn't be complete without the resources to harvest and the exploding sheep. If you are unfamiliar with the game here are some screen shots. MILS Building Standard Tutorial Videos
durazno33 replied to durazno33's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Thanks MikroBricks. I'm glad you like them. The next episode: A peasant takes his two goats out for a walk and "stumbles" into our next MILS module: A hill module. -
Hey thanks for the tip. I couldn't figure out how to do it at first. You have some pretty fun micro builds. I liked your little sail boat in particular.

In your mind, you're already there. You can hear the boisterous music and see the juggling clowns. The kids are begging for popcorn and cotton candy. Dad gets stuck buying the tickets and carrying the “IT’S SO FLUFFY I’M GONNA DIE” stuffed animal. Mom’s running another kid to the bathroom on the other side of the park while everyone else waves from the top of the Ferris wheel. The water ride claims your cell phone and next to you a kid loses his lunch on the “Vortex of Terror.” By the end of the day, everyone’s tired and sure your wallet is considerably lighter but overall, it was a good day. When can we do this again!? There are more pictures and angles in this video:

I've never heard of the game until this post but it sounds like a good strategy game. I could see your creation making a nice Lego board game though I bet TLG wouldn't produce it as fancy a set as yours.

[MOC] Treehouse in the Enchanted Forest
durazno33 replied to Vorkosigan's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Woooah. Looks cool. The bed is a great use of the telescope piece and the tree curve looks great though like BrickCurve mentioned, it could use some miracle grow to make it a bit taller. -
I completely agree. I see no reason to buy brick built figures especially at that price.

What would you like for the next Castle line?
durazno33 replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
A lot of the Lord of the Ruins sets were ruins along this line. Personally, they turned into parts packs that I smashed to use in more interesting builds. -
This thread is a little cold but if you're interested, here are some video tutorials on how to make MILS modules. The basic: The road: The river:

The next episode discusses how to make a river or lake module. These are awesome to add color to the standard MILS layout. -
Would WARCRAFT fit the TLG guidelines?
durazno33 replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
A few months ago (and before the new guidelines) I tried to submit my Warcraft I micro display to Lego Ideas. They rejected the project saying that it didn't fit with Lego standards of staying away from themes with: c. Sex, nudity, drugs, or smoking d. Alcohol in any present day situation e. Swearing or profanity f. Death, killing, blood, terrorism, horror, or torture This surprised me because Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean in particular wouldn't have qualified for these. So I don't think they will unless, 1) they get the rights to make the toy from Mega Blocks and 2) they decide it will make them lots of money so they can justify it. -
What would you like for the next Castle line?
durazno33 replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I like this idea as I loved the Medieval Market. A few sets that deal less with the knights and more with the peasants and noblemen would be awesome to help even out the battle scenes with cool medieval cities.. -
MILS Building Standard Tutorial Videos

Yea, that's the general idea. Classic-castle.com has a standard for castle walls that fits with these so maybe a Lug could play big sized Carcassonne some day. -
MILS Building Standard Tutorial Videos

The next episode shows how to make a MILS dirt road. These work great for building country sides such as in castle or medieval displays. -
I made tutorial video on how to make a MILS module. MILS is a standard that helps you to coordinate your building with other Lego builders. I also find it to be very helpful when building a sturdy foundation for your creations. I will be publishing a series of these videos so stay tuned for more instructions. The Video The MILS standard is published by the Hispabrick magazine so you can visit their website for details http://www.hispabrickmagazine.com/en/content/hbm013-modular-integrated-landscaping-system-i

So what is the most expensive Lego figure in the universe now? Probably these ones. Cost = expenses to go and get them.

I love to see it when people not only make a cool model on the outside but then complete the inside of the model with furnishings as well. Looks great. I like the bookshelf

A Forum for Building Tips and Tricks?
durazno33 replied to durazno33's topic in General LEGO Discussion
That post contains the right type of information that I am looking for but it is organized like most tips and tricks forums that I have seen: a big blending pot of ideas. Some basic organization such as post tagging and categorization of posts would help users find ideas easier. Thanks for the point in the right direction KamalMYafi! -
Is there a forum for finding or posting building tips and tricks? If there is, would someone point me to it? If not, would it be something that people are interested in? I could see it as a place to categorize building tips and tricks by genre. So the forum could have topics for Spaceships, Castles, City, Cars, Technic, Micro etc. That way people building a space ship can find a topic on Spaceships and don't have to sift through all of the tips for making Castles or Micro or all of the random building techniques to find something they like. I know that not all building techniques are specific to a genre but if people were required to show the technique applied in a specific genre in order to post, I could see this type of forum being really useful. This could be a forum for posting items like this:
