  1. Really useful info, many many thanks I have the 1x1 square tiles too, in several colors. And this pack is much much better because I can get multiples to write "mhatever" with a nicer font
  2. Thanks for your pics @Clone OPatra Just for curiosity: the 1x1 round tiles, white, with a letter print, from set 41938 , design ID : 77486 / element ID 6337918 are priced in Europe at 1.39 € ... Does this includes a full set (cheap!) or it is per tile (outrageous!)?
  3. Nice debate! Happy to jump in until it gets too emotional Today's Lego context is very different from '94. Nothing will be as iconic as 8880: then aspect was overlooked in favour of functions; there were great B models included; and just one option. Currently we display as much as we play with the single A model among several sets on offer. If we narrow down to Lego online shop, there are Bugatti, Sian and Defender. As you point out, the Defender delivers a competitive pack versus the 1:8's at half the price, but a boxy body in olive green is not supercar-ish at all. Looking is relevant for iconic sets in the scattergory "Lego supercars" Frankly speaking, I see 42110 Defender more a successor of 8466 4x4 Off-Roader . Both are great sets and deserve a place in the Lego supercar lineup but in fact they are offroaders so I might being unfair but I see them a bit, obviously, off If someone asks for a current set as 8880 I'd recommmend the Sian because of the looks and the underside window; or any other of the UCS 1:8 cars (despite my fav is 8448). I guess that in ten years from now all of them will be higher at the top-of-mind than the Defender... or we might play the ad Neatness, as a disease?
  4. This option ranks higher in my thoughts than before. Thanks for pointing out Fortunatelly, neither 42100 Liebher nor 42099 4x4 Off-Roader are among my top 3, so I have time to wait and see the 2022 lineup before making a decision. I agree that the new differential casing is interesting, but not a game changer to me, I can cope with the old ones. If I were really interested Lego sells both through BnP: the grey casing 6285647 at 75c (aprox, varies per country) and the red gear 6285646 at 85c (aprox), adding delivery it would be below 3.5€ . Bricklink prices seems a bit off compared to this (2€ casing only)
  5. @Maaboo35 Sure! For me it will be the 42129 Zetros when it comes down a little. I have the 42039 so the Bright Green bits won't be useless (not as the beatiful but extremely limitted Bright Light Orange) and I am looking for the new suspension parts; I already have Claas so the new tires are attractive too. I am not a big fan of using AL - they are soooooo slow - , but I agree with @Void_S that Liebherr is the best value for a "newcomer". At the same time is the bigger and more daunting one so I doubt it would had been my trird to fith Technic purchase...
  6. Hello, I've been wondering wich would be the best set to gather basic PU components so I have put together the following table from bricklink & Eurobricks reviews. I hope you find it useful Set number Name Parts Price RRP (€) Hub 4 ports (22127-clip) (85824-screw) PU Motor XL PU Motor L WeDo Motor M (no position sensor) PU Motor Angular Large Planetary Hubs Longest Lin. It will depend on your current collection and your future plans but the facts to make your own decision are there. Robot inventor 51515 is a bird of different fur, so I am not considering here, but could be a possibility for some.
  7. Many thanks for your excel @Paperballpark, really useful. Checking your recent updates just noticed that you could as well include that plain magenta torso (including arms) is available from Lego BnP part number 6299170 . It appears in the Spike Educational set 45345 That Cool Yellow minifig is tempting... Winnie the pooh's idea089 is at the 8-ish $ plus delivery so not a terrible deal. But I worry that it could be the first step down the rabbit hole to factory & prototypes...
  8. Many thanksfor this review!!! I was ready to dismiss this set, but compared with the 4x4 Truck 42099 I find this one better. It is now a maybe instead of a nonono As 42099 has reached sub 170 € frequently, this one could be at 210€ or lower. Still a high price tag but you get one more motor plus the new parts. I am happy to have skipped the 4x4 and I thanks Lego to give us the opportunity to choose. This seems a better set to jump into PoweredUp, maybe... ...and being a grohl's baby I bet there will be several outstanding B models soon
  9. Yesssss!!! This fat-packed with extra sugar truck will fill my Technic addiction hunger, not as those semi-skimmed stevia-edulcorated Ferrari (42125) and Ford (42126) What makes this review outstanding is that mixes top-notch focus-perfect photographic skills against an i.d.e.a.l grey backdrop (great choice), with a humble and sincere narrative of a true AFOL that is a joy to read. Many thanks for your effort and sharing
  10. For those who might be wondering. Just the shuttle, nose to tail: Shuttle Expedition / Adventure , set 10231 / 10213 = 35 cm Very similar to kingsknightbrick's awesome MOC, aprox. scale 1:110 Space Shuttle Discovery, set 7470 = 41 cm This monster = 55,5 cm aprox. (source Promobricks) so the scale is 1:70 aprox Just being completist, the old Technic Shuttle set 8480 is 69cm
  11. What a Shuttle! and What a Hubble!!!! Solar panels seems foil sheets but spectacular anyway. The pic with the person gives a good sense of its scale, a tad biggler than 7470
  12. With current info I imagine that it will be something as a modern release of "Space Shuttle Discovey" 7470 I have the luck to own both this old set and the Shuttle expedition 10231 I am affraid that the latter and the kingsknightbrick's design are at scale with the loved Saturn V , but the 7470 Discovey is sensibly bigger so not to scale with the rocket.
  13. Oh yes! What a pity! It looks like this one. I'm looking at 42125_Lifestyle_build_01.jpg from the press release; on the left side the angle makes it look shorter but at the right side is clearly visible
  14. Probably has been already mentioned, but the humble "blue pin with axle" is coming in red
  15. Huge thanks for the heads up! Ordered the highlights as the new windshield (6299933), steering wheel (6299938) and printed hubcaps (6304895) among a ton of other parts
  16. Really fun build! And great photos as well
  17. Many thanks! Great initiative. I am not planning to build this in the short term, so not really worried by the parts. I'll keep and eye on BnP so if the panels show up i'll give a heads up here. This may happen. What is is sure is that in a couple of years all parts will become available in other sets and in more colors: specially the dumb battery box. So with some patience we will get everything or a reasonable alternative.
  18. Hi, many thanks for this! but... i am not being able to use it neither with Chrome nor Edge, latest versions. I am accessing my lego account and using the javascript-bookmark on the page detailing the order Might it be due to having non-BnP items in the order? Back into topic. In EU: The new sloth from friends is available (6301550 in set 41424), in fact 80% of Friends animals are there. Dots allows you to order the non-random printed tiles. All the gold parts from 80012 set (monkie kid) are there ... some of them with "wrong" prices? Take a look from your country; this theme is almost fully available as the Chineese New Year The otter from the Harry Potter set seems sold out, the marauder map from the army pack is not available. Good luck with the page, is crappy as always!
  19. There is nothing planned for 2H this year... But there is no real need for that, you can bricklink the parts for any of the amazing entries of the recent contest run in eurobricks. From the entry topic linked below you can reach each individual MOC. I am sure there are several who have shared the building instructions in rebrickable, some of them for free (GT40, Tatra, F355) [TC18] Technic Small Car Contest - Entry Topic
  20. Talking about colours: they considered 8 in total, including the pinki-est pink. They show up in thebackgrounf of the video "LEGO Technic 42115 Lamborghini Sián Design DNA" and Defender-green is in close to the lime. The final half minute in Uwe's workshop is amazing
  21. Yes! All our lime dreams come true I think it's the new panel upside down
  22. Congratulations to all participants. There is not a weak proposal 59: 10 13: 6 53: 4 9: 3 33: 2 57: 1
  23. If you can make into TC18 you have my vote. I really like that chassis. The official ruling states : "The deadline date is Monday, the 18th of May 2020. The contest will be closed on Tuesday, the 19th of May, OR LATER." So... who knows. But there are already awesome entries so I would not count with any extension. You already have a good photo of the innings (unless you have modified it) and very little to complete half bodywork. I am assuming you lack of some parts or you'd already build passenger's door. So... choose the cabrio version, trick the photo angle to hide your "gaps" and go ahead. An uncompleted entry will give you more feedback than no entry at all. I'm guessing that as a last resort you could play the joke of entering the contest with it as is just changing the name to "Crashed 911/964 AWD and still up and runnig!!" :D
  24. With fond memories of Claas 42054 : I'm in! In lime it potentially will be the Ultimate Technic SuperCar Parts Pack. I hope it to collect all the new technic gear: reinforced hubs and CV joints from 42099, new differential and 28th from 42109, etc.
