  1. Hi As I am a visual person I put together this image. Prices are in euros and images are not at scale. If you spot any error just say it, please At a first glance, I am frankly surprised to see so little "old" yelow, red and blue around. The main motivation was the people complaining in the 2017 thread about a dissapointing year for Technic and I wanted to see the full picture. I had the feeling that there were less sets at the mid-range price, but it is not the case. I think that people just dislike each of this year's sets over 80 € because looking twice, the overall offer looks good. A point I dislike is that we are getting more sets in the expensive side than before
  2. Well, then it seems to be between the heavy-on-gears Xerion, BWE or Arocs and the PF-biased 42030 Volvo or this year's tracked RC I see myself in the bargain hunt in two years
  3. Many many thanks! We just need official confirmation of the shade of blue for 42070, designer's video operating the functions, jangbricks' and sariel's review, and the price confirmation correction to be in the right position to declare our informed opinion over 2017's technic flagship ... and shut down this thread :p I'm still liking it, despite the unusual & unwanted color. And it is a decent flagship if it includes remote-control driving But 250 € is too much. Even at -30% (in two years or so, it happened to all bigger sets) it would be 180-ish, a bit above my comfort zone for a toy/hobby Apart from the Porsche = 300 € ; flagships are getting rather pricey: 6x6 = 250 ; BWE = 230 ; Arocs = 200 ; Volvo 42030 = 220 (back in 2014) I feel better with the assortment of "second row" sets: [2017] Blue jet 42066 = 120 ; (420) 69-thing = 130 ; boaty = 90 ; firetruck = 90 ; [2016] CLAAS = 150 ; Orange-copter = 120; Volvo 42052 = 90 [2015] Green Le Mans = 100 ; 42042 Crane = 120 [2014] Red pickup = 90 ; Cargo Plane = 120
  4. Grohl, you should be permanently assigned to C-models. They are irresistible selling arguments Time to get the 42057
  5. I agree, at 17" in the video both boxes are at sight. Who asked for another shade of blue??
  6. From youtube videos, the preliminary box of 42070 just says "XX cm / XX in." Considering the length of long panels (8,6cm) or CLAAS tyres diam. (10,7mm) I'd say its close to 60 cm not counting in the crane's tip, and probably similar width as CLAAS (18cm). This would be a little longer than this year's plane 42066 but a bit shorter than my first impression. To put it into context: CLAAS is 40-ish x 18 cm. (whithout attachments, 61x18 with), Arocs is 54 x 14, Porsche 57 x 25 and Bucket Wheel 72 x 29. Huge by any reference Not interested in the other sets, sorry ^^^ Loving your theories, we should open a thread for the 42067: Ghost-Towed Vehicle and start MOCing crazy ones
  7. Dragster looks brighter to me... Close up video, go to 45"
  8. Loving the new truck 42070. Is it Medium-Blue as the 42036 Street bike? Interesting: this shade of blue matches only with red & black (to see color vomit look at chasis 42037 next to lime). At least we get lots of panels This one seems 70 cm long, Arocs was 55cm. This one includes 2 motors & remote control and the former got hand-operated pneumatics. I do not get why that Arocs was praised as a great flagship and this one is not; too many trucks in the latest years? Porsche-like expectations?
  9. First pics from Zusammengebaut of 31066 - Space Shuttle. It's a 3in1 with 1 astronaut, which is logical being a creator set but I was not expecting that http://zusammengebaut.com/live-ticker-lego-news-toy-fair-2017-19791/ Incidentally, on its left there is a sneak peek on one of the new houses, not sure which one Clarified:
  10. And the Martian Manhunter's head... http://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=3626cpb1104&idColor=6#T=C&C=6 Back into topic: Does someone know why seasonals are Lego exclusives? I do not find a reason to not offer them through major retailers. I'd buy all this years if it was the case
  11. There is a high quality pic of the "commemorative brick" in promobricks http://www.promobricks.de/40-jahre-lego-technic-jubilaeums-stein-bei-allen-2017er-sets-dabei/22252
  12. For me 42066 seems at par to the B model of 42042 . Considering the cockpit structure it's probably of a similar size Edit: looking twice it seems that the nose are longer panels and that there is one more "section" of length, so probably this is huge, above 60cm long...and with power-functions weight.... mmmm not so easy swooshing then My son loves to play with the white-red jet and a blue-black one is welcomed. I wouldn't have liked it in green, orange or yellow. So thanks TLG for the assortment of medium azur panels (and lime green from the tracked racer!) Defiinetly, wing shape is not relevant for having fun playing with it and it looks straightforward to add "missile launchers" to it Let's see what the power functions do (and the B model) but my first impression is very positive
  13. I could rebuild the Duck on August taking pictures after each step... Right now the set is unmounted and most probably I'll build the B model with some small mocking for my kids Meanwhile, if by side panels you mean those at the sides of the tail, Each one is formed by one Panel With Angle 5x11 with two Cross Block 3M attached on the longest side by two pegs each, They should be placed so the axel connectors are separated. On them you attach two Conn.Bush W.Fric./Crossale which will provide 2 blue pegs at 90º of the Panel with angle. Using these the whole thing connects to the grey 15M Beam The Duck is quite flat on the sides and I think that there should be some room for improvement. For example the A model of 42050 has the tail of the plane 5-wide but the cabin is 7-wide angling the white panels
  14. Hi, Surprised to not find here the almost-official C model for 42040 - Fire Plane. It is a Duck!! It has been published privately by the set designer himself, Milan Reindl or grohl666. Video is at and some photos at his brickshelf gallery http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=563487I have made a video to provide further help at and a couple of additional photos at https://www.flickr.c...s/143761291@N07No plans to make lxf or instructions sorry, I have no exprience with LDD
  15. Painting Eggs & Valentine's (and the Legoland train, a teddy, a dalmatian... and lots of loose parts; They have many animals, bicicles, light bricks and interesting pieces in the Fabrik). I missed those sets last year because when they were available online I didn't had nothing else to order and I though that delivery was adding too much to its price 2016's Chicken was available as well, obviously. I think that the vignettes should be available in most Legoland Parks / discovery centres for some months. I've seen in brickpicker that some users have bough tens of them in Legoland Florida.
  16. Hello, Just visited Legoland Deustchland last week and they had plenty of 2015's Seasonal Vignettes with the exception of the Thanksgiving one (Valentine's, Painting eggs, Halloween and Santa's) Much nicer for me than the 2016 animals
  17. I hope they add the new Angry Birds sets! The Mighty Micros haven't brought interesting parts From my side (all element numbers): Licensed parts, Only the first is "new" but I recall someone asking for available flesh heads some time ago: 6122207 - Pumpkin-hat from Scooby Doo sets 6123731 - Flesh head, male, dual (Gimli from Dimensions pack) 6123725 - Flesh head, male, dual (Superman with laser-eyes from Dimensions pack) 6124651 - Flesh head, female, dual (Cheli, from Dimensions pack Portal) 6119363 - Brown head, male, dual, (Simon Masrani from Jurasic Park set 75915) Non-licensed, but interesting parts: 6014274 (Design ID 11062) - Lampost, white, from MODERN Modular Buildings (4 base flutes). You'd need 474001 parabola and 3001140 trans mini head to complete it 6062411 - Menu printed tile 2x2 from Parisian Restaurant 6062410 - Chez Albert sign printed tile 2x4 from Parisian Restaurant 6063898 - Printed 1x1 tile with lock 6100569 - Printed glass for frame1x4x3 "Ace Brickman", from Detective's Office 6100581 - Printed glass for frame 1x4x6 of "The Highlander", from Detective's Office 6038148 - Med std grey cat (only appears in a Junior set and in a S11 minifigure) 6056378 - Minifig green hat with pointy ears for Santa's elves, as in 10245 Santa's workshop 4211740 - The only grey hairpiece I've found, male. If someone finds hairpieces suitable for a grandma, pls post Rgds
  18. I am unsure of the pricing in EU, apart from the estimate US 70$, does anyone have a hint?
  19. MANY MANY MANY thanks for the heads up I checked the order and you were right part 4570433 (5c) was changed into 4222693 (54c) as all the other 5c legs I called customer service and they solved the issue in a single call No need of waitings, call us again please, send us a fax... I'm really happy with them If I hadn't posted the part list here I have ended with a mess after parts had left the warehouse, so if you are reading this don't forget to share your findings!
  20. Hi there I just ordered from BnP: torsos for Maria Hill, Luke (set 75093) Nick Fury & Finn were available but some at hig prices (and Nick Fury legs as well) I have found interesting parts licensed by LEGO itself, look for the set number 60097 to find LEGO-employee torso and printed tiles with set images (an a nice barista). Set 75903 has two Scooby Doo villains almost fully available. The Big Bang set has the flash torso and a few female hair pieces available I have found a way to "list" some items, but you never know what is not being shown: For printed torsos use in the parts search the numbers 88585 or 76382 For printed legs use 21245 and whatch our for the plain colured ones, as I ordered several colours at 5c each (red: 4582576, dark grey 4570433 & others) Apart form licensed items, there are a few rare non-licensed printed parts, part 4540813 is a straight siren tail for minifig, set 10249 has both carolers available, part 6100582 is the dart board, 6104509 the flakes box from ghostbusters There are chihuahuas 6102951 and huskys 6076467 at average price, as well as saw fish & white shark (set 60095) bicicles, light bricks in yellow 6121787 , and red 4666707 This hobby is .r.e.a.l.l.y. expensive!!
  21. You two are terrific! Thanks for making public the challenge. The greenhouse looks great and the renders are VERY interesting Please let us know the name of the roof color, if (brickset naming) the 75904-standard Medium Lilac or the Bright Reddish Violet. I understand that choice is limited by the Tower Roof piece but you could as well take the difficult road of a tiled roof, as this one http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=102451
  22. Sorry for the off-topic, when I was child I used to make centaurs inseting a 3x2 brick between body and legs, adding a second pair of legs behind. Once you insert the 3x2 you'll see where. Maybe the new legs (faun, imp? could improve its look. Btw, which "squid legs" do you refer to? Not *mad* about S16, but interested in the baby(sitter) -hoping it is included - banana guy, new dog and Ice Queen. Not a bad start considering I just got 3 from S15
  23. @sunhuntin: amazing! I had seen the pic several times without noticing the Advent Calendar I think that the singer may be holding a red electric guitar, if it is a singer Behind Santa, under the C of "Advent Calendar" seems to be a figure holding a... radio? ... a rod from 2016 creator? A Red & White stand on the left, with a smaller white... transparent box? ...pop corn machine? And a guy in green (lime green?) with white hat between that stand and santa who could be a volcano researcher Maybe a white dog is pulling santa's sleigh in front of this guy On the right I imagine a mini snow plunder with someone riding it So 7 minifigs, dog, tree, sleigh, heli, snow plunder, white box, R&W stand = 14... this is 10 sort And numbering seems to be in the range of 60xxx Anyway, we are still in January! There have been a couple of comments about the Star Wars Advent Calendar by Promobrics http://www.promobric...016-75146/12714 : 10 minifigs including chrome C3PO, Chewbacca in white ("in weisser Chewbacca (!)") and a Snowtrooper Snowman There is an ILEGAL pic here (facebook of Lego Star Wars addicted) https://www.facebook.com/LegoStarWarsAddicted/photos/a.225119427622908.61420.223169881151196/756703837797795/?type=3
  24. From Promobrick's facebook pictures, 41129 Hot Dog Van (I do not know the official name) seems a great set. There is a roof table and includes a mirror and a photo-matic stand The Hot-dog suit seems to be a "hat" as a hair piece is shown on the down-left corner.
