  1. Wow..! What an awesome model Sariel...! You just continue to impress more and more with every model that you make... Great job capturing the lines with just the flex axles to keep the weight down and create such a fast model...
  2. I am in the EST in the States and I just ordered 2 of them... Originally I clicked on "details" and it took me to the page to order it... But now it is available on Lego shop at home's main page... Free shipping too...
  3. I do a little bit... I have a fresh set of Black Chrome wheels that are going to look great on this...
  4. I just put in about 10 orders myself about an hour ago... But it turns out that I ordered more White Bush pins than I needed, I forgot that there were like 16 red ones in the chassis in the instructions that were not necessary... I didn't realize it, but I actually had 6 #4 connectors on hand after I went and ordered 4 from 4 different people.... I also have enough white bushings and white friction pins on hand to do this right... I had to order 3L white axles and those white double split perpendicular connectors are also hard to come by... Luckily I stocked up heavily over the years on white flex axles in all sizes, believe it or not, I parted out about 10 8461 Williams sets about 9 years ago... Yeah, I know... I knew there would be some simple modification to the rear corners due to the fact that thick 2L liftarms in white don't exist... Also ordered 2L white axles... I think that I can scrounge up a 19L black flex axle... I don't know why, but when I seen this thread today, I just felt determined to do this model in white... And then when I seen the render, well, that was it.. It was going to happen...
  5. YES Eric! That is EXACTLY what I was talking about! Now the race is on to see who can get one done first... Uh Oh.... Is that a 19L BLACK flex axle being used for the front winshield..?
  6. I was going to try and do a White Gallardo for Joe Meno's BrickMagic show back in May and as soon as I realized that the smooth toggle joint didn't come in white, I gave up on it... Lego also doesn't make a 16L white flex axle(Which you can add a connector to a 14L one)... And you can substitute this piece for the Old style one Other than that, all of the other parts can be found in White... I still may make a white one with a black roof.. I think that would look kind of cool...
  7. What's even funnier is that it is the same thing every year... First crappy blurry pics get posted for a day and then are removed which creates a buzz and tons of hype by those who haven't seen them, then a week or 2 later they reappear and clear up and enlarge a bit and they get removed, then a few weeks later a nice page from a dealer catalog appears... You have to ask your self, who is really leaking this pictures..?
  8. When in a another week we will be well into September and that is usually when the new prelim images "leak" out of Germany... That thread was locked because the O.P. made it and then got nervous and edited out what he had posted about info that he had heard, so a Mod locked it because it didn't contain any info anymore and people were asking questions about what was posted... At least I think that was why it was locked... Actually that link isn't the one that got locked or the one that I was referring too... THIS is the thread that got locked that I was talking about...
  9. This is really great..! You did an outstanding job with this..!
  10. Mahj, the only way you can actually put the "No Refunds" policy into effect is if you can convince people to send you money via Paypal as a "Gift" I say this because all someone has to do is file a claim with Paypal that they never received the item and Paypal will always side with the buyer... Trust me, you wouldn't believe some of the crazy things that I have been through... Paypal requires proof that an item was delivered(Using a tracking method) first and then if the buyer claims that it wasn't as described, then that is a whole other mess... Someone can buy your instructions and then say "I can't build this" or "This isn't for me" and file a claim with Paypal and boom, your money is in limbo until you provide shipping proof... I had to refund a disgruntled man from China because he was mad that he had to input a simple password every time that he wanted to open the PDF file... I would also like to get a link up at my site for your instruction link to help out a bit... Are you using the Flickr account as your primary source of promotion..?
  11. This is simply an amazingly well done model...
  12. I think he means with those specific gear ratios that he stated... His reverse gear is also on the opposite side of his transmission which is different than the one that you built, making this gearbox a little more unique... The key to getting 7 speeds(and reverse) to work well is stability in the structure that houses the axles and gears... If your structure is strong and rigid and your gears and axles stay true using liftarms rather than perpendicular connectors on axles, then everything should work smooth without binding up... 7+R gearboxes were done years ago, in fact there were gearboxes done with 14 speeds that I have seen many many moons ago and I am pretty certain that Zblj already knew that, so I think that he was referring to his own design here... The problem with these larger speed transmissions is that it begins to alter the overall proportions of the car because they begin to take up too much room between the seats and make the car wider than it should be.... I think it is time for Lego to bring out some new sized clutch gears so we can start to build transmissions properly instead of making them harder than they need to be... By the way Zblj, if you want to peel off the stickers, I'll be more than happy to hook you up with a brand new sticker sheet... Just P.M. me your address...
  13. It's already been done, and done very well....
  14. Oh, ok so balls will actually be bypassing the "LEGO" Mosaic part along with filling it up.. I thought that maybe this would back up the GBC if it were in a loop, but obviously that is not the case at all since there will be an overflow... Brickfair is going to be awesome this year, and YES I will be there...
  15. The reason why I ask about the continuous loop is because of the time that the final part takes to fill up with balls and spell out "LEGO" and was wondering if there would be a long delay of balls being fed to the next module... Obviously if they just run it end to end again this year, it won't matter...
  16. LOL, this is far above and beyond anything that I have ever done or could ever do... I must have showed this to 20 people today...
  17. Oh wow.. This will make an AMAZING Grand Finale to the GBC at the show... I am no expert in this field at all, so I have a few questions... 1.) How long does it normally take to fill up the final part with the Lego letters..? 2.) If you flip it around the other side, can you reverse the balls to spell the Lego logo or will it only read the right way on one side..? 3.) Can this be used in a continuous Loop GBC or one that just runs from one end to the other..? I don't know how those guys are setting it up this year, but last year they had twice as much space as they needed and just had it running one end to the other end...
  18. I see it, but I don't believe it... Wow...
  19. Pretty cool.. This is the first time that I have actually got to see the B-Model built next to something...
  20. And here I had thought that I had brought some new "Legal" techniques and ideas to the Technic table that hadn't been previously done... Apparently not... I guess that we all can't be winners... Might as well pull it off of Cuusoo now...
  21. Well, they have to keep the scale within reason, if the 8043 was the same scale as say the 8070 Supercar, the excavator would be huge and way out of most people's price range... Plus it would be near impossible to have $20(or less) sets if everything was the same scale... It would also be hard to properly scale, detail, and add functions to a set like the 8051 motorcycle if you were to make it the proper scale compared to say the 8070 It should actually only be much smaller when comparing it, or the 8070 would have to be much larger compare the other way... Most toys are like this, for example if you collect Hot Wheels or Matchbox, almost all of the carded vehicles are the same size, whether they are cars, trucks, planes, buses, or Military vehicles...
  22. Wow.. What a fantastic model..! And such great Pictures..!
