  1. I haven't built a set in 10 years.. My wife is the set builder in the house... And my Pug is the stray part finder...
  2. I can't build without it.. I also need to be watching something at the Same time... I have been on a King of Queens kick since my wife got me the box set for Valentine's day...
  3. I just crack open another beer and roll with the punches...
  4. Compared to Bricklink prices for Red and Yellow 5 x 11 panels, those prices are a steal... That is a really interesting site...
  5. Of all the Projects on Cuusoo, this is the one that I most want to see happen... I also really like THIS Gundam Model...
  6. Before the incredible makeover that Juanjo, my webmaster did with my site, I had at least 20 ignorant hate filled comments comparing me to various builders from around the globe on my blog thingy throughout the course of my first 2 years of having a site... Who these were coming from, I don't know... I also had overheard rude comments made by system builders at a show a few years ago that could have made a grown man cry... This grown man wanted to kick someone's (insert your term for derriere here)... And that is why I'll never attend another Brickworld show... I have been trying to make friends and build up something at my own site by inserting picture links for various builders from different genres... I am trying to update it as much as possible and get most guys included, but the HTML format is still kind of new to me and I am still learning it...
  7. The Star Wars Technic Sets certainly offered some amazingly crazy parts... As far as Detail goes, Drakmin's Technic Star Wars Models are very detailed... These would make really awesome sets...
  8. This is a really really fantastic model.. I love the color scheme that you used.. Very original ideas implemented too...
  9. I got the pleasure of meeting a young man in Pittsburgh last year at a Kidsfest who had some problems and he was extremely thrilled to see my cars in person and had his father take his picture holding one of my cars... Turns out he was a fan of my work and had seen the models online... This was an eye opening experience for me realizing that through Lego that I had made a connection with this boy and right then and there I had decided that I should try and give back...
  10. I do believe that he used 4 of these for each seat...
  11. I think he did a really great job with this... I don't think that he posts here, so I wanted to show it... I don't want to post too many pictures because they are a little large... HERE are all of the pics... Nice Work Pablo..!
  12. Dave, If this model would ever get to 10k supports(which I know that it won't) I would be content if Lego would say "Hey we are not going to do it, but we will come out with a set next year that will have the 19L Black flex axles and also Black Bushings"... I would also like to state that the Charity auction was planned a month before I ever considered submitting this model to Cuusoo... There are quite a few guys that can attest to this including Joe Meno and Fernando from TechnicBRICKs... It was just one of those right place, right time deals... I have also told quite a few guys what sparked me into doing an auction for that particular Charity...
  13. Now that you mention it, I have had 2 people in the last few days e-mail me and say that they tried to support the model at Cuusoo after they registered and the Support button was shadowed out and they couldn't vote for it... And I was just on the site logged in under my name and I have not supported my own model so the Support Button is there for me to support and it was in fact Shadowed out and I refreshed the page 3 times... Then I went through the link from this site and it was showing up in green... So I don't know what the deal is with that... Someone just recently made this comment at Cuusoo... This is something that I already knew going into this... "This is going to be very hard to get enough supporters because it is Technic and let's face it, most people that build with Lego just don't like Technic and turn their nose up at it. It also has no license or theme support fan base backing it up. Every model that has made it and is doing well here had a fan base outside of Lego that supported it or is supporting it. In my opinion, Lego cuusoo should lower the Support count for models that are an original idea, especially ones that are this good." I clicked the link 9 times in a row from here to the Cuusoo project and every time the Support button was shadowed out and unclickable and the on the 9th time it was available to select... Something is most definitely glitched up there...
  14. I can't wait to chase my dog around the house with this.... Only 6k more to go...
  15. There's a seller on Bricklink who has over 4,500 of them new for 89 cents, so you should be in good shape for awhile.. That gear has been around since the 70's, so I don't expect it to go away anytime soon... It comes and goes every few years...
  16. After checking, There are a lot of them on bricklink, so it doesn't look like there is going to be a shortage anytime soon... Speaking of bevel gears, I have noticed that the Black 20t bevel gears don't seem to mesh quite as nicely with the 12t Bevel gears as the tan ones do...
  17. Did you call Lego and ask if they still have them in stock...?
  18. These would be great for GBC builders... There have been some amazingly bizarre things that I have seen people support and pledge money to on that site and get the results... Also heard of a few scams that were run on there...
  19. I mean in addition to altering the name of the website... That was why I said that he should also consider it... What about sites like this one? If it's just a blog it is ok then? Not that I am calling anyone out as I think their blog is fantastic, but I was just using it as an example of something that has "Lego" in the title...
  20. You also might want to consider adding a disclaimer somewhere on your site...
  21. Oh wow is that ever incredible... It's amazing to think that I actually made brief contact with a very tiny portion of this beautiful creation once... Great work Anio... This is something really special...
  22. Yeah, but I refuse to reach out to that crowd for support... I think that Hayabusa model only needed 1,000 votes because Cussoo at that time was only for Japan... I may be wrong though... There is a contest being run this week(I think it starts on Monday) at DudeIwantThat.com and they are giving away one of my Custom Red/Black Vampire GT Models with Black Chrome Rims... In order to register to win, you must Like the model on Facebook and Support the Model at Cuusoo... Of course if you've already supported prior to the contest, you can just like the contest link through Facebook... The randomly selected winner will have to post under the comments section of the Vampire GT at Cuusoo that they won it at www.dudeiwantthat.com for verification that they supported... Tweeting the contest also earns extra chances to win... CONTEST LINK It should be interesting...
  23. This model is Fantastic...! Ralph are you going to make the trip to Brickfair again this year..?
  24. Yeah... That's not going to happen... I only want my Model associated with the type of Vampires that suck blood...
  25. I agree... Ok maybe 5000+ people that supported it may not buy it(which I don't know if they would have anyways) but how many 1000's of people have never seen it or know what Cuusoo even is would buy it? Probably quite a bit...
