  1. Cool model.. Has a very nostalgic look to it..
  2. Anio, are those red gears the only new parts in the 42009..? Other than the redesinged curved panels..?
  3. I don't recall any carrots or hot dogs in the movie version of the Ewok village... This is a FANTASTIC set though...
  4. Bought a used(but complete) 8450 The Mission set off of a new user on Ebay for .99 cents.. Guess no one else was comfortable buying from a new user... I was very happy to leave him his first feedback when I received the set...
  5. I have several friends from various parts of the world depending on me to get them a set... It isn't going to be easy with resellers...
  6. I never critized you, I merely pointed out that not everyone has the resources available to them to design models of their own, nor do they want to design their own models... I am far from retired, but as fate would have it, my wife and I do not have any children, so I have much more free time to build and design things... There are many guys that I know who wish they had more time, but it can be difficult being a father and devoting time to your hobby as well...
  7. aqaz, it is great to hear that you feel that building your own models is the way to go and I cannot disagree with that at all, the only models that I have built from instructions in the last 10+ years have been 2(well 1.5) of Nathanael's models.. But the reality is that everyone doesn't have the time to sit down and spend 2 months trying to get a mechaniam to work properly, or the money or resources to to buy every part(or set) out there to build what they want, so they would rather rely on instructions and actual part lists that suit their needs... I have a waiting list of people that want models completely built and have no desire to even build them, they are just looking for display pieces... Many people like the idea of building the model more than actually building it for themselves.... I know it sounds crazy, but it is true.. Even if you don't plan on building a model, instructions are a great way to get ideas and learn new things that you otherwise may have overlooked...
  8. I don't think Francisco posts here, so I would like to present this model in his behalf... He did a very very good job with this car... MOCPAGES LINK
  9. Aanchir, it isn't worth even worrying about.. I already went back and forth with Ian and then Todd himself via email... Supposedly a vendor complained that I was selling stuff, which anyone that seen my stuff on display knows that I had no price tags on anything and was just displaying my work as I do at every show... The Technic guy beside me forgot to take down his swap meet sign and some girl came along and ripped it down... Another registered attendee did ask if I would sell him one of my gearboxes that I had on display and I did... So what? Isn't trading and selling parts encouraged at these events..? What the Hell are we paying an admission fee for..? So that someone else can profit from your presence..? They also told me that I could keep business cards in my pocket and give them out only if people asked for them.. Well that is all fine and good except it is a little hard to give out cards to people when you are trying to demonstrate how things work in front of 15 other people and a guy with his kids doesn't have time to wait until you get a free minute to talk to him... And not being allowed to have a simple QR code beside your Cuusoo model to help promote it is just plain asinine... I struggle enough with gaining supports and now you are telling me that I can't gain support from people who are right there in front of the model..? What a joke... It is bad enough that Brickfair is going to be down in Registered attendees this year purely based off of the fact that Lego isn't offering the 30% discount at the Lego stores anymore, but implementing a bunch of ridiculous rules on top of that to piss off the attendees who do come is an entirely different monster... They claim they don't want a bunch of "Spam" and "Pop-ups" at the show, seriously why should they care..? I bet they'll care when they are down several thousand dollars from the previous year... Technic is struggling in the U.S. as it is, and I am willing to bet that we had the largest Technic turnout in U.S show history last year, but sadly, that will never happen again... I was so pissed off after talking to Ian and Todd that I wouldn't do another one of their shows if they paid me...
  10. Great model..! Very nice color choice..!
  11. PoloFreak is a really good builder and a huge fan of Lamborghinis and he built an amazing brick based large scale Lambo... He has also built several of my cars and has never taken credit for any of them... He is a solid guy...
  12. I was informed via e-mail right after last year's Brickfair event in Virginia that I would no longer be permitted to display anything that promoted my website, nor would I be allowed to have business cards on my table for my website unless I registered as a vendor for $250. I was then informed that all of the vendor spots for 2013 were already sold out. Now I have yearly fees that I pay for my website and I have always said that it would be ad-free, not to mention that I have a webmaster in Europe that I must compensate frequently, and I am not allowed to promote my own work after paying registration fees for both myself and my wife..? It's bad enough that the clowns are being charged admission to get into the circus, but then telling them that they can't bring their sqeaky horns and over-sized shoes is ridiculous... Funny, when you do the OFFICIAL LEGO kidsfest events, not only do you get paid, but you were allowed to advertise anything that you want...
  13. I know that they are different and have different uses, I originally thought that these new panels were replacing the old ones, but apparently that is not the case...
  14. I wonder what the deal is with the new curved panels..? The 42008 appears to still use the older black styled one..... The EV3 has the new styled black ones.. Maybe they are going to continue to produce both..? I guess sticker placement may be in issue with the ones on the 42008 if they were the newer style...
  15. Thanks Dave..! I haven't been on here in awhile and not very up to date on things...
  16. I haven't seen any of the B-model pics for the summer sets, do you have a link..?
  17. You did a fantastic job..! Very nice my man...
  18. Here are some of my favorites... MT_Bricks Magic Magnus Sta Laedla ToyBurg Plastic Bricks Direct Brick 'em Danno I spend most of my money with the Germans...
  19. Yes, we have a Copyright on every page... I am more concerned about Barry's because he has them here for free...
  20. Considering that Barry has them posted online for Free..? This thief is also selling one of mine... I don't care if people build my models and sell them, but I draw the line with reselling instructions...
  21. Brick Takeover from Germany has them for .42 cents each and his shipping is very reasonable.. I have bought from them many times... Great to deal with...
  22. What's funny is that I was told the 19 ones are actually cheaper than the 12 and 11 ones from Lego...
