  1. Aren't those wheels that you are using the ones from the 41999...? Those are the 6 pinhole wheels...
  2. That is really cool..! This is what you'll want... Chrome Silver Wheel 56mm D. x 34mm Technic Racing Medium Original LEGO® Part 44772, chromed by Chromebricks Someone is also selling a set of chromed new style 6 pinhole wheels on Ebay...
  3. I have a deal worked out with www.coatofchrome.com I advertise and promote his business and in return I get a better deal on the price... You can get wheels already chromed from Chromebricks on bricklink... The quality is really good..
  4. I also had 20 and gave my wife 10 to sell... I really wish Lego would release parts packs in various colors similar to what they did years ago with the styling pack... They could include 2 of every flexible axle and 2 of every panel... I bet I ordered at least 100 of these back in the day... I sent them away and had them professinally spray chromed... They also do color tinting...
  5. It's funny that you bring that up... I was loading some of my own parts into my wife's store to add more of a variety and when I entered those Red size 14 flexible axles and checked other store's prices to compare, I had to do a double take when I seen the prices for that Red 14 flexible axle... I think Sheepo's Mustang uses a few of them and that may be why they have become so hard to find.. She had recently sold 2 of them for .50 cents in late January from a parted out 8653 Enzo... I also checked into the Red 16 flexible axle from Lego and they do not have them in stock anymore...
  6. Nathanael is probably sleeping as it is nearing 4 a.m. in his area.. I can help you though.. check your inbox...
  7. Well just from seeing this picture, I would say that the laws regarding vehicular passenger safety in whatever area this is are most likely non-existent, otherwise this wouldn't be allowed... Not really sure what is so "absurd" about drawing an obvious conclusion... This isn't exactly some farmer taking a group of people on a hay ride... And how do you know this person is "playing dumb"..? Maybe it is his job to watch out or keep an eye on something.. Calling this person "dumb" is just as bad a misconception... More than likely this vehicle isn't moving very fast anyways... Probably much safer where he is at than a garbage man hanging off of the back of a garbage truck...
  8. Them = Those who are without laws and regulations regarding safety...
  9. You know.. After Ebay and Paypal fees, that seller's profit is going to be about zero... HERE is a Sheepo Mustang in Black for sale for $2,000 USD... He is at least credited though in the description... It appears that there are a few pieces that the builder ran out of in black.. If people really want to sell MOCs, they should focus on their picture taking abilities.. Good pictures are what sell models...
  10. The PDF one from my site can be printed out... The backgrounds are not white... I would think either way you're going to go through a lot of ink...
  11. You got a good thing going on here.. I wouldn't scrap it completely...
  12. It's still available.. If you call them up, you can order them by giving the part number... I ordered some last week.. Their website is a bit of a mess of parts that are no longer available or are not listed... If you call them up, they can tell you if they actually have the parts in stock or not...
  13. The Star Wars continuity expert at Lego must have been on vacation..
  14. Then again, this USC model does have twice as many parts...
  15. This is leaps and bounds better than this... They're not even in the same league...
  16. Yeah, I've been catching a lot of flak over the years because I don't motorize my models(apparently incorporating power functions into every model is what Technic building is all about these days) so I have decided that I am going to go backwards several years to my Power Functions experimentation stage and see if I can build a new reliable model that can make use of the newer power function motors... I already have a pretty cool front suspension finished, but that is for another thread...
  17. Like the scoop..! Looks really Cool..! Glad that you enjoyed building it..! It was a fun model for me to create... I learned a lot of things along the way for future building.. Yes, this model would be very easy to motorize... I was thinking about offering a 3rd build with motorization, but I am not a fan of motorizing large models as I just don't think that you get the performance that everyone expects... I've already begun work my new model which will be a mid scale motorized Stunt Car... I also just finally got the Muscle Car model up at rebrickable.. Nathan just sent me a message saying that everything was good to go... Here is a very cool cut-away render that Eric did...
  18. I've worked on some newer Corvettes and they do still use what are considered "leafsprings" but they are not really what you are thinking... They are a fiberglass-composite tranverse style of leafspring... I'll see if I can find a picture to show you... EDIT: Ok, here is a great picture of what I was trying to explain...
  19. This is really a thing of beauty.. Love the details... I can't wait to see what's next...
  20. This is coming along nicely... Are you using a servo motor and one of those Hockey springs together..?
  21. If parents were smart, these are the sets that they will be buying their young children.. Most definitely will give them an edge over the other kids when they start school...
