  1. Fantastic! I just love all the creativity going on here, and the highly customized look with decals is brilliant. One detail in particular that I really like is that you didn't just take a common old red cross symbol, but starwarsified it aurebesh-style that it would look both familiar and exotic at the same time. You also kept a clear and straight color scheme that fits the emblem and looks really good. Overall, great builds and a fantastic effort! I love it when fans bring their own ideas to live and don't just rebuild stuff straight from the movies. You've done a fantastic job and seem like a very talented builder! Can't wait to discover more of your work! /* Also, the post itself is written great, too. I love the combination of in-universe lore and behind the scenes how to explanation. Well done.
  2. You could use Lego Technic rubber tubes.
  3. No, I feel the exact same way. I deliberately choose to view it as part of the Original Trilogy because it fits so well with these movies. And, additionally, it creates another nice bridge to the prequels with Bail Organa. Rogue One definitely feels like an oldschool Star Wars offering to me, and I love it all the more for just that.
  4. I was in fact referring to the header graphics, not the letter color.
  5. Yes, I have one, too. Originally, it started out as just a general geek/Star Wars blog of sorts and I mainly started it because I had a webserver running that I wasn't needing. So when I joined Nar Eurbrikka, I thought I might as well create a blog and host my NE content there, too. Turned out that I now use it pretty much exclusively for Lego content. I don't have more than a handful of visitors, and what generates user interest, I think, is the custom decals I am making. It also helps that I take decal requests from people, since people seem to really like my work and are grateful for it. Funny enough, my presence here all pretty much started out with a Lego blog, too! When my general interest in Lego started to grow a couple of years ago, I did some research and stumbled upon Lego Steve's blog. I really enjoyed reading it, it was both a throwback to my childhood and invested my interest in MOCing. That directly led me to finding Eurobricks, and here I am today.
  6. Came in here to post the same thing. So there has been a change in design and I'm not just seeing things? The top menu bar is definitely hard to read now. Maybe should tone down on the light colors just a little bit.
  7. Excellent work! One of the best scenes from my favorite movie, and you captured it so well! I like the simple and studless elegance of the build and how you added a fitting background for the diorama. A worthy celebration indeed!
  8. Thanks for being cool about this. I don't know about others, but personally I see SoNE as a chance to tell stories and come up with characters and scenarios in a fanfiction-esque way, so world building is very important to me that way and a wiki can help with that. I also think it makes things a little bit more connected, replicating the feeling that we're all operating in the same world. If there's any way to help the team out with character databases, galaxy maps, etc, I for one would be eager to offer support.
  9. Very well done and great execution. Makes you wonder if Lego would release like a smaller-sized, 180° version of that scene similar to what they did with the Carbon Freezing Chamber, so that you would basically need to buy the set 2x in order to build the complete scene once.
  10. Now, that's a horrible Cruella! Which means it's pretty good. Where does the coat come from?
  11. Finished a new one today: It is the one and only Mara Jade and based on an ArtFX figure. Can't wait to try it out with some nice red hair! I might make another variation based on the Mysteries of the Sith cover art later down the line.
  12. Cool thread, surprised I didn't find it earlier! And Lego instructions be like:
  13. Anyone feel outright overwhelmed when sorting their Lego? My collection has reached a size at which lumping together too many different kind of bricks is no longer suitable and actually negatively impacts my ability to build stuff, because I spend more netto time searching for parts in a bunch of bricks than actual building. So, I am trying to sort my Lego kinda half-heartedly for months now, and it just seems like such an impossible task. I don't have a lot of storing options right now, because it seems like a very expensive thing to do for a big collection. I bought one of these a few months ago: It works fairly well for my purposes, but it's filled in no-time and the standard compartments are just pretty small, so any brick kind with a mentionable amount tends to be too much for it anyway and calls for a bigger compartment. So, I would probably need another four or fives of those to sort just the parts that are small enough in numbers to fit the compartments, and then I would still need another storage solution for bricks in greater numbers. So, we are talking about 100+ bucks here for the storage just to be able to basically sort the greatest part of my collection. Now, I know that this is actually not that much for such storing solutions, but it still hurts me a little to think that this money could be spent on Lego instead. Especially when storing is not even the top priority right now, but rather sorting so that I get a complete idea what my final storage solution should end up like in the first place. I actually feel like wanting more of those inlay plastic boxes that used to come with Lego technic sets in the 90s. I never really utilized them as a kid and they broke easily, but having a bunch of those would be a great and affordable way to sort my stuff and determine my needs. Right now, I even use the plastic boxes that I get my food in when I order chinese... can anyone relate to my current situation? It's like I am really willing to thoroughly sort my stuff, but I just don't know where to start.
  14. Very good, and quick, build! I also like the backstory you give your builds, I like reading stuff like that. That file log style is also quite unique and cool. My only "complaint" would be that your thread title is missing the Palace location, like the episode rules asked for. But I'm sure that's an easy fix.
  15. No, no, just one moc will do. There are three locations available, but you chose only one of them to build on.
  16. I recently got this set, too, with about 25% of the retail price off, so I thought this was a neat deal. And I really like that thing! I really liked the movie, too, but this tank seems actually very robust and sturdy and I like the overall design, I think it captured the official look very well. My only gripe with it is also that it comes with only one container box when it's clearly designed to transport two. Also, the container comes in such unique colors that bricklinking it seems like an expensive task, so I don't know what their plan was with that. Did they expect me to buy two tanks just to be able to fully load one of them? However, that's a minor inconvenience. Other than that, I really like this set, perhaps one of my favorites in recent memory!
  17. Hello @lomis, yes, I use waterslide decals, usually. Thanks for your feedback! I would want to use different methods of application, but waterslide decal is the only affordable way for me right now.
  18. Very well done! Glad to have another talented builder on our team!
  19. Fantastic! You keep outdoing yourselves with these episodes, it just keeps getting better and better! I am very excited for this, especially with inviting builders from all the rest of Eurobricks, what a great idea! This will be a blast! It is a station in the orbit around Coruscant, something like a retreat. The Emperor had one, and Xizor had one as well, called the Falleen's Fist:
  20. I, too, would kindly request the Star Wars tag, please.
  21. Fantastic and outstanding build, and a heartwarming and touching message. Even a few months after, I still mourn Carrie's and Kenny's passing. I am glad that they will be fondly remembered by fans around the world.
  22. The X-Men line's Storm may be a good start for Winter. The Chima wolves without their masks/helmets provide printed faces that could work for Noghris; the best Bothans, in my opinion, would be to use the TMNT line's Master Splinter head:
  23. Thanks, man. Also, Vacation Joker's torso is finished as well:
  24. I agree. Great posing to make your story come to life, a very good build and well written. I enjoyed it, a decent start into your Nar Eurbrikka career. Looking forward to seeing more in the future!
  25. Another one to scratch off my decal wish list. This is Bob the Goon from 1989's Tim Burton Batman movie. He's featured in one of the most priceless scenes from the movie and may be a fine addition to all you people's Joker gangster armies. Have fun!
