LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors
Cody Startale replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Could the OP possibly be updated with the latest infos and images? I'd like to take a full look at everything from the new waves we know, but it's kinda hard to keep up and find the pictures with the quick discussions going on here. Not that I wanna discourage extensive discussion :) I'm just bad at finding the pictures everyone's talking about sometimes. -
Review | LEGO 75171 Star Wars ● Battle on Scarif
Cody Startale replied to Brick Ministry's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Fantastic. I am definitely getting this, I cannot wait. Since I will pass on the U-Wing, this will be a great RO set to get Cassian and Jyn. And I really like the overall look and structure, I already liked it in the leaked pictures, but in action, it even looks a lot better. I am extremely excited for this new wave, I cannot think of a wave that had so many sets that I want in recent years. The only thing I don't really care about is the new Phantom, but I still might get it because of Thrawn, since I expect that minifig to be pretty expensive to bricklink. -
[SoNE Ep. XIII] Fondor - It Ends Here
Cody Startale replied to Zaael's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
I really like it, it looks awesome! I wanted to comment on it hours ago when I first saw it, but then loads of work came in. The outstandig part here is, of course, the arc, which looks great. It is a great blend of both industrial and alien design, it's cool. It's also very cleverly built, from what little I can tell. I really like how the purple section looks "debossed" into the surface on the lower parts of the pillars. The factory walls are cool as well, again with bits of purple and also some reddish-orange mixed in, there's generally a cool yet subtle combination of colors going on, I like that. What I really dig is the ground, though (no pun intended). It's great how the sand kind of phases out into the metal surface, very well done! Overall, a great entry! That should teach Black Sun a lesson that we mean serious business in this galaxy. /* Completely forgot to mention that I also like the plot a lot! Interesting choice to see a female Togruta as a Black Sun associate.- 9 replies

Simply brilliant. Seeing this, my first instinct was to point out that it looks like straight outta the Rogue One trailers, in a very positive way. Definitely seeing that Jedha resemblence here, but it works for so many Star Wars environments really. There's so many great details, it's fantastic. Bagging the victim is also cleverly displayed. The writing is as strong as ever and I couldn't help but find it hilarious how Goatm An casually refers to his stay on Commenor as vacation. Great job!

[SoNE Ep. XIII] Bothawui - Transfer Mission
Cody Startale replied to WickNole's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Too bad, I wanted to read your story in order, but none of the links for Chapter 0 - 8 seem to work correctly, they all link back here :/ However, I like what we are seeing here already! -
[SoNE XIII] - Bespin - Seek and Destroy
Cody Startale replied to TheBeeze's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Great build, I like it! It is well built and I really like the light setup with the blue pillars, excellent. Also neat that you included Lobot and Willrow in your story, haha. Especially Willrow and his icecream maker thingy are a cool little detail. Cool stuff all around! -
[SoNE Ep. XIII - Freebuild 4] Imperial Survey Corps
Cody Startale replied to Merc4Hire's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Promoting people at will, ripping them from the life they are used to just to throw them into the unknown? Typical for that tyrannical Empire! A great little scene, immediately recognizable and giving off the right vibe. Nice dialogue as well. I like how you really nailed that Imperial base look with a clean, small build. Too bad we're gonna have to blast that place to pieces when we find it, though. -

Thank you three, too! I'm always glad to hear your reactions, it's really what's making the effort worthwhile! -
Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka — Introduction and Discussion

I agree! I haven't been here as long, but it's a good time to thank everybody all around, anyway. It's great fun and I really enjoy seeing what you people come up with all the time. It's very inspiring, so thank all of you contributing to this play! -
So much amazingness (is that even a word?), it's almost overwhelming! Really, I don't know where to look first. I literally couldn't take my eyes of the pictures – I found myself staring at the walls in the first image for a solid minute, just trying to wrap my brain around how you did that (without success, I might add)! Then I moved on to that Jedi Interceptor and man, that's quite something. Those wings are just amazing. And then the second image – a somewhat simpler build, but it makes up for it a million times in style. Damn, that looks great. Alien and aestethical at the same time. Pure fantasticness (gee, your build makes me make up words, that's how much I like it)!

Very neat little scene, I quite like it! Man, I love Ithorians. I've gotta get one some day! Where did you get those cloth parts? They are perfect!

[SoNE Freebuild XII-I] Sowing The Seed
Cody Startale replied to Cody Startale's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Thank you for your kind words, LL! Since I didn't want the build to be judged anyway, I thought I might as well go all-out with the editing and effects. I use Corel Photo Paint, which is pretty much exactly like Photoshop, only more intuitively to handle for my personal taste. But everything I did could be done as well in Photoshop or GIMP, for that matter. -
Hello everyone, this is the continuation of the story of my Episode XII entry and will serve as an in-between story element for Episode XIII. Since this entry does not contain any new builds and serves only story purposes, please do not judge this build. View my cast of original characters here: Nar Eurbrikka Cast Previous story: Episode 0 – The Introduction Episode XII – Den Of The Dragon To be continued.... Even though this is a story-only post, comments & criticism regarding the photography, editing, minifig posing, writing or whatever are greatly appreciated!

This is fantastic! Though it does lack an astromech droid serving drinks... other than that, it's so amusing. Adorable!

[SoNE Ep. XIII - Freebuild 13.1] Hung Up on Commenor
Cody Startale replied to goatman461's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Excellent as usual. That dark X-Wing looks so, so sleek, it's amazing. Even the astromech's color scheme matches the ship, perfect. Also, what I said in LL's freebuild about your collab work applies here as well. Now I also fully understand the story that's going on in your previous thread – I didn't realize that it was Goatm An posing as an Imperial Officer in the last build! Now I fully get it and it's amazing on so many levels. Can't wait what the two of you will come up with next! -
[SoNE Ep XIII - Freebuild] Destined to hang
Cody Startale replied to LucasLaughing's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Once more, I am impressed. It is really, really enoyable to read through your entries. The builds are pretty much flawless and the photography, combined with the compositing, is executed so well. This looks so much like Star Wars and your pictures depict the battle action perfectly. I just love it. Also, the story is, once again, intruiging and exciting to read. That story arc collaboration with goatman is really paying off and I am tipping my hat to both of you for pulling this off so perfectly. It's just fun to read through this and gets me really excited to see what happens next. Doing great builds is a nice thing for sure, but what impresses me most is how you combine those excellent building efforts with a compelling narrative that succeeds in drawing me in. You managed what George Lucas so miserably failed to do in Episode II: execute a compelling and suspenseful investigation story arc. Keep it up – I can't wait for more! -
Absolutely lovely! You did great, it's instantly recognizable. Also, I somehow love how the Lego Death Star instantly reminds me of the one in the Star Wars Atari games back in the days:

[BH - Cerean] Commotion on Commenor
Cody Startale replied to goatman461's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
I like it! The walls are indeed impressive. The blood stains on the wall after the shooting are a great touch! Also, the chairs with the inverted ladder pieces are genious. Gotta try to match your overall style in my next build on Commenor! -
Episode XIII: Setting of the Black Sun
Cody Startale replied to goatman461's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Haha, great! I was wondering when the next episode would start! One month is a tight schedule for me, but I'm determined to enter nevertheless. Quoted for truth. Save the rebellion! Save the dream! /* Kicking it off with my 100th post, I see? Guess I've gotta enter now -
Thanks for the cool review, I enjoyed it! I loved that show. I really didn't expect much from a Lego Star Wars series, but I just loved all the characters (Graballa is easily the most hilarious thing ever) and the humor in it. It was just great enjoyable content and a refreshingly lighthearted take on the Star Wars lore. I really, really liked how the setting reminded me of the Azzameens in X-Wing Alliance. I didn't care too much for the sets, even though I considered to buy the Eclipse for quite a while. In the end, though, I didn't find it appealing enough and didn't care all that much for Naare or Dengar. But in hindsight, even though I don't care for the Star Scavenger at all, I really want the Freemaker family minifigs... Well, there's always Christmas, I guess. :D

Returned to this thread to point out just that. I initially liked the previous trailer a bit more because of the kinda epic arrangements of known Star Wars themes in it, but having listened to this new trailer now quite a few times, the dramatic music pretty much blows me away by now. It is so intense and emotional, I really feel pumped to see this film. Damn. It's like a whole new emotional dimension of impending doom being added to the era of A New Hope, in a sense. Like, ANH was a kinda light-hearted adventure movie, and this spin off movie adds a lot of depth to it by expressing the outright desperation the rebellion is facing when learning about this weapon. It's amazing. That's how I feel about the trailer, though. I sure hope the movie can live up to that in the end. My expectations have become quite high for this, I must say.

I love it! My favorite part being the X-Wing scene... it looks so amazingly oldschool!

Yes, they are in the desktop version and your character still shows up with 58 XP in it.
