  1. In case anyone is curious, here are the designs for Star-Lord (in the game): Winter Soldier: Winter Soldier looks like his mask could also double for a new Nightwing fig.
  2. I hope the Green Lantern rumor is true, that would be fantastic. Either in one of the known sets or maybe a new retailer exclusive. 9 Marvel sets and 4 DC have been mentioned, which makes 13, 1 more than usual, making up for only 11 this year?
  3. Great MOC, I love all the little details. It captures a real vivarium nicely.
  4. I am waiting for double points in October before getting any S11, like others have said, not the best overall Series, but lots of good ones like the Tiki Warrior, Gingerbread man and Scarecrow.
  5. This information is from the Gamescon gameplay videos on Youtube, there are a few like by Gamespot, IGN etc. Basically Funcom said in the game they are making themed worlds, which they confirmed Castle, Pirate, Space, Mythology, and a Fairytale/Fantasy world is in a screenshot. They said each world has a "hero" character, that will be in the launch Series (14), in the second half of 2014. In addition to other characters that "work well" with the game. Logically, characters related to a themed world. So you can just imagine a potential Hercules minifig Also, I expect the designs to be very nice, to differentiate them from existing figs that are already amazing like the the Galaxy Patrol and Heroic Knight.
  6. Well, S14 will have at least one pirate, castle, space, mythology, fairytale/fantasy style characters. According to Funcom, their art department worked closely with LEGO designing minifigures for Series 14 that work well with the game.
  7. Inevitably ending up in the bargain basket. More money saved for me though, I expect to buy a lot of S12 and 14.
  8. I know, I was referring to earlier speculation (not by me). Yes, it was in reference to earlier speculation.
  9. It looks like the SDCC 2012 promo. I wonder if we will see that Winter Soldier in sets next year. Also his mask looks like it can double for a new Nightwing fig.
  10. I agree, plus 1 month in advance is not that early either, and would be similar to licensed movie sets.
  11. Well, that is an odd list to say the least. Sure, Thor and Cap are Avengers, but saying two sets based on The Avengers, which is the 2012 movie title, implies being based on that film. But it isn't in direct contradiction to what was rumored previously at the TT games booth; TWS, ASM2 and GotG sets. Still the TT games rep leak can't be taken back, the DLC has been announced and Bigfig Goblin isn't on it.
  12. "Excellent work troopers, we may succeed in this mission just yet."
  13. Well, I wouldn't exactly call it speculation because at Gamescon Funcom said the plan is to launch the game with a Series in the 2nd half of 2014. A full set of 16 they confirmed it would be too. As for Series 12, Klaus-Dieter saw the retailer catalog and posted about it here. The way he described it, sounds like it will be 12 and not a special release like Team GB. I am guessing that is the way the retailer catalog portrayed it as well.
  14. You are talking about Series 12 being based on TLM, and Series 13 or 14 being based on LEGO Minifigures Online? It is an interesting topic to discuss, how incorporating them effects what normally would have been done. I lean towards a positive influence though, the Series coming out next year will be the most anticipated for me in a very long time. A Funcom rep hinted about figs in S13 or 14, mythology, space, pirate and castle minifigs designed specifically for the game, and others that work well. I would guess S14 to be a standard Series.
  15. I would like to see a theme that features a variety of minifigure characters. I want space rangers, space pirates/marauders, scientists, explorers, civilians, robots, good aliens etc. It should also feature moon bases, monorails, spaceships, mechs and everything in between. Incorporate the Classic Space logo on some of the figs and set the theme across multiple worlds. A modernization of Classic Space basically. They don't have to be exact remakes from the original theme. There could be new sets/designs, using updated/new building techniques. I think the TLG designers would have a lot of fun designing such a theme. It would also have to be a long term theme, as each wave would compliment the previous. Probably just a pipe dream though.
  16. Discussion regarding wishes/ideas for future sets should be posted in the Future SW sets topic.
  17. Don't forget LEGO did make this official poster as a promo for LEGO Batman 2, which is clearly based on the official Arkham City one. I think it is safe to say they took elements from the game and incorporated them into the sets, and possibly will do so again.
  18. They are available at the LEGO brand stores. Usually they have the following month's calender on the first of each month.
  19. It is possible we could get a Thor 2 set in either October or November. Most likely it would be a retailer exclusive since we haven't had one of those this year. That could potentially explain why we haven't heard about it. If TLG wanted their SDCC display to focus only on 2014, then that is another possibility why it wasn't teased or shown there. The new October store calenders should be available next week.
  20. Pre-order DLC announced: https://c1.eb-cdn.com.au/website/images/packshots/lego_marvel_dlc_large.jpg I assume it is the same for both Xbox and PS.
  21. thinks you should join Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka

  22. I think this theme could potentially prove to be one of the more interesting themes next year. I am liking what I am seeing so far. It has a lot of good potential. I am very curious how throwbacks and easter eggs are going to be handled in the sets. That is a lot of sets plus a whole series of Minifigures, which hopefully are packed with great stuff.
  23. Most likely, it is safe to assume the license will continue in 2015. The Avengers sequel comes out that year as well as Ant-man and the Man of Steel sequel. I don't think TLG would miss the opportunity to capitalize on those films with more sets. If we get some Amazing Spider-man 2 sets in 2014, then that would be another good sign, as that is another ongoing series.
  24. Just don't make him angry, you won't like him when he's angry.
  25. Lego Marvel Spotlight video: Nothing really interesting, other than it was confirmed that no Marvel sets were shown to keep them secret until launch (which would imply being based on upcoming films, which also is not a surprise).
