  1. Probably not for 6 months, at one of the Toy Fair's most likely, around the end of January/ February. I suspect they are all based on upcoming films next year and will be closely guarded until release to avoid any potential spoilers. I also think some figs will be missing from display like this year with IM3 and MoS. I agree, it could be a stand in Robin, Nightwing, New 52 Nightwing, Red Robin or also Damian Wayne Robin. Those descriptions are somewhat interesting I guess. I wonder what other villains are in the steam roller set? I am hoping for new ones but wouldn't be surprised to get two Joker thugs like in the Two-face chase set. However I am now really interested in the remaining 2 DC sets. They seem to have used up all the repeats, so good potential is left. I am guessing the price points are, $13, $20, $30 and $50 for those sets. Which leaves, $40, $70 and $120 (largest non D2C set size). Probably the retailer exclusive is $40 like the Funhouse. However, we are still missing a true flagship set. If it is another special edition, it would be odd since it is the flagship of the wave but not unheard of for licensed themes. The most likely options I would guess, would be Wayne Manor, Bat-tank or a JL HQ. Unless it is Arkham Origins based and wasn't listed to avoid game spoilers ( a lot of characters are still unknown for the game). The last possibility is we are not getting a sixth Marvel set this year and to balance it out only 5 DC sets next.
  2. Thanks! So there was no Marvel sets or names in the catalog? I guess this could mean winter is all DC and summer all Marvel, like in 2012. However what are the other two DC sets? Special editions I would guess possibly. Those sets sound alright, too early to judge, but a repeat Penguin, Riddler and Joker is not what I wanted to hear. Hopefully those sets include new JL members and other Batman characters never produced before. I hope the Penguin one is Arkham Origins inspired and we get Deathstroke.
  3. The obvious solution would be for TLG to increase the amount of Superhero sets per year to 20 (10 for DC, 10 for Marvel) not counting exclusives like D2C either. This would then be on par with Star Wars in terms of sets per year, and IMHO this theme has enough content to sustain it easily. Another possibility if this theme lasts as long Star Wars, then eventually we will see more comic based sets. Unfortunately, I get the feeling TLG doesn't know how to handle these licenses properly. I am not sure even if DC knows how to handle DC IP. For the reasons why, who knows why; past bad sales on Spider-man and Batman themes, focus on vehicles, holding out the good stuff etc. So far SDCC exclusives have lived up to the hype of the theme, unfortunately the sets in the actual theme haven't. That is the biggest thing I take from all of it, I have given up on predicting what sets they are going to make.
  4. I hope the battle of Seludca set is actually Felucia. Most likely it would come with Commander Bly, 327th troops and Aayla in some plant/jungle foliage style playset. If it is based on EP3. That is the most interesting set for me from that list, followed by the wheel bike set. Judging by how we got several ranks of Phase I troopers this year, I can see next year getting some more Phase II Commanders. We have seen Gree already, I wouldn't be surprised if we also got Bly or Neyo and Cody too.
  5. "Welcome aboard pilots, I am pleased you have decided to join ranks with us against the Empire." "Pilot J4ke, that is a fine vessel that will serve the Rebel Alliance well in future battles. Permission granted for all new recruits to scout nearby systems for Imperial activity."
  6. Welcome everyone! You have all been added to the player index. The Rebel players only that is.
  7. Or an even better solution would be to add arm printing, that way the set gets the better fig for mass distribution.
  8. Hey wait a minute, this isn't a real purist custom, in my defense that sticker has been modified significantly. I was thinking it was from one of those obscure idea books or something.
  9. Sure, welcome to the Rebel Alliance! I have given you the generic avatar for now, you can also make your own and it can be updated for you.
  10. Great purist Silver Samurai ACPin. For anyone who wants to make their own, these are the parts: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?M=sw097 http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?itemID=3248&colorID=22 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=x156 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=x190 Need some help on the sticker though.
  11. Another video: You can see there is a floating 2x2 with Ms. Marvel on it.The TT games rep in the above video mentions that there are over 140 playable characters in the game. I counted 155, I assume the 15 on the bottom are going to be DLC. halomaster96 did tell me he talked to someone at the Xbox lounge at SDCC for the LEGO Marvel game and he said there will be two exclusive DLC packs, one for Xbox and one for PS. He remembered Thanos, Winter Soldier and Falcon were some for Xbox.
  12. I hope that is what is released, some ASM2 sets would be brilliant. Although I thought they would be spring sets, getting them a few months in advance would not be unexpected either. The only thing is I was hoping TLG would use the winter wave for comic X-men and Fantastic Four sets and save the spring/summer waves for the film based sets.
  13. He does say; "This is a new figure that will be out next year." True he does not mention the word "set", but in the context it does seem that way. The game is scheduled for release Oct. 22, why would they release downloadable content for one fig months later? Usually, based on previous LEGO games by TT, if there is any downloadable content, it is usually announced as some kind of pre-order bonus. TT collaborates closely with LEGO on these games, so it would not be surprising if he as TT games staff has knowledge about future products. Now sure the interpretation of what he saying is up for debate, but logically it would seem he talking about a future LEGO set with that character. Which could be either USM or even ASM2.
  14. Happens a little while after 9:12. He definitely says he is going to be in a set next year. Not sure if he meant the big fig or regular fig version though. Loads of awesome character designs in that video,Silver Samurai, Invisible Woman, Punisher, Stan Lee even.
  15. I might be in the minority here, but I like the set. The AT-AP may not have been the best of vehicles to remake but I like the model itself. Gree looks really cool and accurate to his film counterpart, all that is missing is some other clones, I doubt anymore will be included though. Finally, another Wookie Warrior, I have been waiting since 2005 to get more of them, I always thought they make nice figs and add some diversity to otherwise always getting Chewie.
  16. I just thought of something, Spider-woman has printed red legs with yellow boots, I wonder how that would look on Flash for his boots? Her uniform does have continuation print on the hips, but that part can be easily swapped for a plain color. I think I might need that Spider-woman promo now.
  17. Honestly, I don't really like that set at all. Another Batmobile with a mediocre design, a pretty much useless dragster for Riddler and a missed chance to receive an entirely new Batman villain. Sure it is nice to get Flash, but he really does need leg printing for his boots, TLG can print on the side of legs, not sure if that is only at their China factory though.
  18. That would be interesting. In an interview, didn't the actor who played Harley say his character was going to be a LEGO minifig in the future? Or was he talking about the character appearing in the LEGO Marvel game? I think a large $120 set would be amazing, based on the final battle in Iron Man 3 with: Bones, Igor, Silver Centurion, Gemini and Extremis Soldiers in a harbor/dock playset.
  19. needs more Superheroes

  20. Interesting tidbit from the USA today article. I take other superheroes, to mean possibly entirely new characters and also sets on display. They haven't shown sets before, so this year sounds pretty exciting.
  21. I did not know ASM II comes out next year, I thought it was going to be released in 2015. That does concern me a little, as didn't Disney/LEGO just recently acquire the merchandising license from Sony? Since LEGO designs concept sets quite a while, years possibly in advance, they might not have enough time to design sets. Then again, the movie is 10 months away, and LEGO could always do a more traditional summer release after the film anyway in June or August. Either way, we probably won't hear more news until the Toy Fairs in January/February concerning spring/summer sets.
  22. That is actually a good sign to see an Amazing Spider-man minifig, that shows Disney/LEGO are possibly previewing their new merchandising license for ASM. I hope. Green Arrow is cool, maybe we will get another version in a set? The other two, don't interest me. Overall not as big a loss as the previous years, for me at least. News on the promos came very early this year, nice to have real news to discuss again.
  23. That would be a very cool representation of Human Torch and his powers. I still think I would prefer to have him in his regular uniform though. I don't think both versions would appear in one set, as I can't think of a set, except for the DS, where multiple versions of the same character appeared in one set. For Mr. Fantastic & Invisible Woman, them in their normal uniforms would be the most logical solution. Although Invisible Woman as a trans clear minifig would be ideal, the feasibility of that is questionable though. I think a possible compromise could be a light blue/grey color like this custom Force Ghost Yoda by Kaminoan. Silver Surfer being chrome I think TLG might do in a set as a compromise as well since he is a popular character. Pearl silver or light grey wouldn't look right. We will find out soon enough if we are getting the F4 with SDCC starting next week.
  24. I agree, I remember when I first read about it on a leaked set list in 2008, I thought it was going to be an amazing set, but was sorely disappointed when the first images emerged. I think probably the fact that it is an asymmetrical ship was the main problem the set designers had. Maybe you can MOC a new rendition of it some day.
  25. A seller on ebay appears to have acquired the new young Boba Fett minifig early, item # 400522809810. Looks good, nice details.
