Those are also the same designs used in the game. A TT games rep hinted about the possibility of a set at SDCC in addition to the news from Brick Fan. I also hope those are the designs, Groot is missing, he was a big fig in the game. They look to be based on the comics (?). It would be nice if we get a visual dictionary and movie exclusive with a promo figure. I wonder if Winter Soldier will be the S@H offer in April like Minifig Hulk and Jor-el?

I am guessing the difference is that there are region specific catalogs with different release dates. Did the one you see have the descriptions in English or another language?

The LEGO Movie Sets News and Discussion
Piranha replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Out of all 10 I looked at, only those 3 had the 2 in 1 box art. (Castle Cavalry, Garbage Truck and the Ice Cream Truck) Unsure on the other 3 as they weren't listed.- 2,626 replies

It also showed Red Skull and Ultimate Goblin. That would be very nice if we get that Thor minifig.

Maybe at the Toy fairs in January and February? The release months are: USM in March, Avengers in May and Guardians of the Galaxy/X-men in July.

The LEGO Movie Sets News and Discussion
Piranha replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thanks for all those pictures! When I saw the fire truck mech, I immediately thought it was a LEGO Transformer. It looks like how they would be designed if LEGO ever did get a Transformers license. My theory looks to be right, the box art saying 2 in 1 is to identify sets with an alternate (more practical) build. I will be getting the Ice Cream Truck for sure. Interesting that Lord Business and Vitruvius are only in the biggest set. I also like the steam punk elements incorporated in some of the sets. Yes, as the box art says 2 in 1 on it. http://www.tamayk.co.../3/38510312.jpg http://www.tamayk.co.../3/38510339.jpg http://www.tamayk.co.../3/38510321.jpg- 2,626 replies

The LEGO Movie Sets News and Discussion
Piranha replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I hope the insertion of the Luchador means other seemingly random figures will appear in other sets. The description says he is a master builder, and there are quite a few of those like the Classic Space guy and others.- 2,626 replies

Future of the CMF as licensed characters
Piranha replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I believe that was just some random blog theory. I know that is incorrect, because SDCC minifigs are created specifically for the event which is handled by the US PR department at LEGO. But, I think it would be a very good idea if they did decide to make a line. -

Thanks, but I already know all Marvel films have post or mid credit scenes. I posted it that way instead of a spoiler, because it sounded extra good.

Not exactly what I was expecting. Like others I had imagined "new again" to mean ones like the Classic Space guy or Johnny Thunder. However there are some good figs I will get like the Coffee guy, Taco Tuesday guy, Shakespeare, Mermaid and Emmet. I am curious about Green Lantern, the Red luchador and Classic Space guy, will they be in the regular sets?

Future of the CMF as licensed characters
Piranha replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I think they should keep the core Minifigures theme as a classic theme, and as a regular series. Then they could have an umbrella category that features other themes in the same packaging, collectible style. They have a Friends animal line, the Simpsons should be a separate CMF line as well. Then of course I would love to have a Marvel Superheroes CMF line, there are over 5000 characters alone not including variants. That is the perfect application and the only way we can get diversity. -
I think this could be another option for a large Marvel set, they should expand to SW level, with two large sets per year. Oscorp Tower: $200 Includes Spider-man (SDCC), Black suit Spider-man (Same design as 2013 SDCC but in black), Green Goblin (grey armor ASM 2), Rhino (big fig), Ultimate Electro, Norman Osborn and Gwen Stacey. Oscorp Tower would be about the same size as Orthanc, with multiple floors, top floor conference room with chairs and tables, another floor with a lab for Norman Osborn to change into his suit, another lab that has the symbiote being studied, and the bottom floor is the security checkpoint/entrance area.

Interesting part of an interview with Kevin Feige. I know this has been discussed, and it will be interesting to see how that is shown in TWS. Also in the interview he hints to stay for the post credits scene in TDW.

I missed that part. Those sets sound really good, especially the train station. I have been waiting a long time for a decent track side structure since the engine shed.

They did release the 2011 NYCC Superman in a set. They also used the 2011 SDCC Batman print design in a set. Not to mention Venom had the exact torso from the 2012 SDCC black suit Spider-man. Azog too. I think we will get the 2013 SDCC ASM 2 fig in a set, but with no leg printing. That would differentiate it enough from the exclusive. Thanks for answering my questions. This is interesting, and lends more credence to getting ASM 2 Spidey as a minifig in the Doc Ock set. The Avengers logo is the MCU one? I wonder if the Cap set is based on the "First Avenger"? Disney got the rights to those films recently.

Lego Marvel Superheroes Game Announced

She isn't in the game, according to the full character list. -
New trains? That sounds excellent, I wonder what direction they will take next.

The same colors from the prelims we have seen or the existing figs we can currently get? I noticed in the prelims, they associated color with a unique finalized fig. The Riddler Chase had a plain dark grey Batman, and the final version had the same thing. I think Doc Ock will be a comic design and Spider-man will be the Superior Spider-man design or the SDCC one. Did the pictures you saw in the catalog look like what we have already? Or were they further along, showing prints? Did Falcon look like this?

The LEGO Movie Sets News and Discussion
Piranha replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Maybe that refers to there being two ways to build the set? An alternate model. The box for the Castle Cavalry set says the same thing. So all hope is not lost, I think it will be two models, one for the castle pod racer thing, and the alternate build as a regular castle set.- 2,626 replies

Here is another one, all those prelims are from Tamayk which is a German Toy site. http://www.tamayk.com/images/3/38509608.jpg

Both those sets sound like they are based on the Avengers Assemble cartoon. Which is a huge disappointment. What were they thinking not making a single set for Winter Soldier, Thor the Dark World or Amazing Spider-man 2? CM4S, was Falcon red or black?

Lego Marvel Superheroes Game Announced
Piranha replied to MattZitron's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
The Avengers theme (Alan Silvestri) I think is really good and the best score of modern Marvel films, is it played in the game? -
I hope that alternate Spider-man is supposed to be a stand in for an ASM 2 fig. Also I wonder why they would use a Dock Ock like that for USM, unless they are giving us the game design?
