Cloud City - $350, similar piece count as Death Star, 20 Minifigs Luke {Bespin outfit, tan clothes with new ANH hair (from the Falcon and Hoth sets) in dark tan, double sided face, one side upset (no teeth showing), other side bruised and anguished} Leia {Bespin dress and Prisoner outfits} Han {blue ESB jacket and white shirt versions} Chewie {new one from the ROTS set} 3P0 R2 Vader {completely new helmet, requires three separate pieces: neck guard thing with the lower tusks, mask that fits onto the head like a normal hat as well as into small notches on the neck guard for stability, and helmet that fits into the top of the mask like Tonto's bird. Also, back head printing with scars and stuff} Lando {redesign of the old classic outfit, two colour cape} Lobot Boba Fett Bespin Guards x2 Ugnaughts x2 Stormtroopers x4 The set itself could be done in a similar fashion to the Death Star, with multiple levels. However, they could do it the same way the did the old version, with everything on one floor. I haven't put a ton of thought into how to do it, but the scenes included would be: Carbon Freeze Chamber, the window and walkway where Luke loses his hand, Vader's dining room, Han and Leia's apartment room, Chewie's cell with the noise, Han's cell, perhaps a bit of the platform, and some of the main entrance.

I just stumbled upon this brilliant deconstruction of Obi-Wan and Luke's pivotal discussion in A New Hope that makes me wish the prequels could be remade. http://moviepilot.com/articles/1117583-star-wars-retrospective-obi-wan-lies-deconstructing-a-pivotal-scene-from-a-new-hope

I was under the impression that the name was Boga, but the species was a varactyl. Anyone else kinda hopeful that the Death Star BP could be a counterpart set to a possible Imperial Shuttle in the summer? It kinda hints to that with the two Red Guards.

I doubt it would've come with instructions. LEGO usually includes promo images for the rest of the wave on the back pages of the booklets. If they are making such an effort to conceal the secrets of the other sets, they wouldn't so easily throw those sorts of images to someone who could easily leak them. I'm very hopeful to see some new pics in about a month. Mid October makes sense to see something leaked. By that time, there is only two months before the film hits theaters. I am fearful about the confirmation of only four sets. They better be really stellar sets, or LEGO better have something exclusive up their sleeves to be released a bit later.

Went to the LEGO Store today and picked up the Homing Spider Droid, Bespin/Cloud Car Planet set, and got the free Clone Lieutenant. Plus I have an interview on tuesday for a job at that store!

It'd be a shame for LEGO to not make sets based on Thor 2. I could see at least two or three sets that cover some major locations/plot points/characters. I just really want a Malekith.

When should we likely see some pics? I'm thinking soon.

Your best choice right now is the version from the new Duel on Geonosis set. LEGO has yet to do a new Yoda that is in his OT outfit. But now that they have the new head mold, I think a Dagobah set may not be too distant in the future.
-
I think all the Jedi who only got the CW treatment need to be released as non-CW versions, perhaps in one big Jedi Temple exclusive. And yeah, Boss Nass would be cool. I also want to see new Tuskens and a new Zam Wessell, Shmi, Jedi Younglings, morer Separatist leaders, Bail Organa, R2 with a swivel head and third leg, Emperor's Guards using the CMF Judge robe, just to name a few. Also, new variations of the Emperor (tan skin, not grey or flesh), Vader (new helmet/mask).
-
Picked up the new Snail Droid. Jango is magnificent, and he looks better with the new Lone Ranger guns rather than the lame ones TLG gave him.
-
What ARC troopers? I thought we were only getting Kasshyyyk troopers and Neyo this wave (as well as a regular trooper with the Turbo Tank mini)
-
So I've been looking more and more at the prelims, and I'm kinda annoyed with the shooting guns. It seems like a lame new thing LEGO is trying to have catch on, like light up Lightsabers or the hand held cannons from Space Police. They look ugly and will likely only work well 50% of the time. THe only thing I like about them is how they harken back to the good old days when all the Star Wars guns were megaphones. Also, if you look at the new Obi-Wan in the Wheelbike, he has dark tan trousers with light tan printing. I've been finding that LEGO is starting to print the Jedi robes over the colour of a Jedi's trousers rather than his boots. Swap this new Obi-Wan's legs with the printed CW versions', and then give the new Obi-Wan's tan and dark tan to Qui-Gon. It'd look WAY more accurate.

After seeing what is in store for us January 2014, these are my predictions for the summer 2014 wave. $25 - Senate Chamber Duel: depicts the duel between Yoda and Sidious at the end of ROTS. Includes Yoda, Sidious (basically the Palpy's Arrest version in black robes, and with a calm Sidious face), x2 Shocktroopers. $30 - Junland Wastes Encounter: includes Luke's Landspeeder, Luke, Ben, x2 Tuskens. $40 - Octuparra Droid: includes Ki-Adi Mundi, Baccara, x2 Marines. $50 - (Target Exclusive)Battle on Utapau: includes Crab Droid and Utapau platform, Cody, x2 212th troopers, x2 BDs, x1 Airbourne trooper. $50 - Separatist Shuttle: includes a tan version of the shuttle and the meeting table, San Hill, Wat Tambor, x2 Magna Guards, Obi-Wan with Boga. $90 - Mos Eisley Cantina: includes a more closed in version of the cantina, similar building design to Jabba's Palace, includes Han Solo, Greedo, Ponda Babba, Bartender, Sandtrooper. $120 - Imperial Shuttle: System scale shuttle, includes Palpatine (tan skin), Darth Vader (new design), x2 Royal Guards, one of Palpatine's aides. $120 - Padme's Corvette: the ship Padme takes to Mustafar, includes Padme (pregnant), Anakin, R2, x2 Mustafarans. $150 - Turbo Tank: includes Luminara Unduli, Barriss Offee, Wookiee Warrior, x1 Kashyyyk Trooper, x2 BDs, x1 SBDs. $300 - (Exclusive D2C) Jedi Temple: large building, which includes multiple rooms, with two removable roofs that allow access to three floors, open back, includes 17-20 figs, many assorted Jedi, Anakin and 501st troopers. Covers scenes from Ep. 1-3. This is a very rough list, and a few of my ideas have already been said. There is only so much that can be made from ROTS.

Perhaps the Utapau set will be part of the summer wave, and just be a larger battle set. It could have a section of the Utapau platform, a crab droid, two battle droids, Cody, a couple troopers, and Tion Medon.
-
Utapau BP should have: x2 regular 212th troopers, x1 Airbourne trooper, Cody, a Crab Droid.

Just picked up the Duel on Geonosis set. Love it! The new figs are amazing (pilot droid is kinda lame), and the set itself is a nice shelf display, but doesn't lend itself to lots of play. I gave Yoda one of the short brown dwarf capes from the Hobbit. Makes him look better, and reminds me of the first LSW video game! Now to make him his hover chair!
-
I'm hopeful that they will be the last. Hopefully the next summer wave will be 100% film based.
-
Ah. I'm still very happy to see the film based sets taking more prominence in the recent waves.
-
Are there gonna be any? I think this is it.

Looks like I'm really late to the party! I'm amazed that we already have pics! These sets look really great! Here are my thoughts: DS BP: This one looks good, but not perfect. The Gunners are a great addition to any Imperial army. But while its nice to see the return of the Guards, they seem like a strange choice for army building. Still, looks like its good. Kasshyyyk BP: Wow, LEGO pulled out all the stops on this one and answered almost ten years of cries from fans! Two scouts and two normal troops of the same colour scheme will make this the most popular BP since the BPs first started. I cannot wait to see all the Kasshyyyk MOCs! Anakin's Interceptor: I love it! I've always loved the Jedi Interceptors, and 2012's green version was the first one I actually was happy with! Looks like we get a new Anakin (always welcome) and a new R2... hopefully they've made the head swivel!!!! Wheelbike: YES!!!!! This was one of my favourite sets from the original release of ROTS sets! Two major characters in a relatively cheap set. And this version looks way more detailed/intricate and definitely worth the money. Lets hope that Grievous has a new head. V-Wing: Simply put, I don't really care. I've never been a big fan of this ship and likely won't buy it. Vulture Droid: Like the V-Wing, I'm not really interested. There just aren't enough cool figs to warrant the purchase for me. Battle of Saleucami: This one came outta nowhere and is much appreciated! Neyo! I've always wanted him as a fig. Great choice! Also, this set will go very well with the addition of the Stass Allie fig! Droid Gunship: Looks like a slight update on an old design. I may get it because I never got the older version. But a new Chewie!!!!!! That makes ANY amount of money worth it! We've needed a new Chewie for SO LONG! Finally! AT-AP: Not a vehicle that I really care about, but Tarfuul and Gree are too enticing. Final thoughts on all Kasshyyyk sets: Well done, LEGO! Its been a while since LEGO focused on a single battle and pulled it off so brilliantly! Its really the BP that makes it. People can army build like maniacs and amass huge forces to repel the CIS on the beach! Plus, the amount of droids to compliment the Clones is fitting. Not too many, but not too few. Add the new Yoda into the mix and you've got yourself a beautiful collection! The Recruitment sets: Kinda strange. I like the cute Chibi style scale, but in the end, its just not that interesting. The only upside is the new plain white Phase 2 Clone. I'd buy multiples of the Turbo Tank just to build up my plain Clone forces. Anyway, LEGO keeps making me drool with each new wave! I don't know how I'm gonna get any of these sets! Sorry wallet!

Yeah, but those a properties that exist within a wider license. LEGO holds the rights for comic based sets as well, and it all falls under the Disney logo. The Hobbit and LOTR sets are their own license, and aren't attached to anything else.

Beorn looks like he definitely has a strong Del Torro influence in his design. I'm interested, but also worried with how they've handled the character.

That is an impressive list. Looks like the BPs are going back to what they used to be; single faction army builders. Good move LEGO. The wave seems very ROTS centric. I'm also excited to see this new recruitments line. Seems like an amped up Planets line.

Also, I thought this might be something worth mentioning. http://shop.citizenbrick.com/Superlab-Playset-CB720570.htm Breaking Baddicts (me included) can now have this amazing set! While not a real LEGO product, its the closest we'll ever get!

Adventure Time would be a really smart choice for LEGO. It has a huge following from both kids and young adults (I'm in college and have many friends who are avid watchers of the show). It would sell well, and just look really cool.
