Wizarding World 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
jjr_2009 replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
These look amazing! I don't have room in the budget (or room on my shelves) for all of them, so I will probably just pick up Grimmauld Place and the Hogwarts Carriage. I might have to get Madame Pince on BrickLink to add to my Hogwarts staff. -
71033 LEGO Muppets CMF Series - Rumors & Discussion
jjr_2009 replied to Borex's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yes--and I can't wait to start hunting for these! I saw the leaked pictures a few weeks ago and loved them all. I was impressed by how improved the accessories are compared to the Looney Tunes CMF! -
Disney Properties 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
jjr_2009 replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yeah, I'm a bit baffled by this as well. I would get it if it served a function within the set--for example, if each build could transform into a tiara, with the princess/diamond in the center. My kids are in the target audience for this line, and I don't see them really caring one way or another if the princesses' heads/torsos can be stored inside their dresses. (They'll still love the sets, though.) And I for one am happy to see Merida make a return here! She looks great with the updated hair! -
Disney Properties 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
jjr_2009 replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Unfortunately I don't think we'll see a Series 3 until 2023 at least. But I am with you in wishing for more accessibility to Disney sets. Most of the minifigure-based sets (outside of the new Mickey theme) are just too much for my budget right now. And while I totally get why TLG uses minidolls for most of their Disney sets (my kids LOVE them), I feel like the form of the classic minifigure allows for more flexibility in depicting different characters. A little more on-topic: I LOVE 43202 The Madrigal House! The designers did such a great job capturing the essence of the house while still keeping it relatively affordable. Can't wait to see the film! -
Wishlist: Future Star Wars Sets and Minifigures
jjr_2009 replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I would love to see the following: A new podracer (Anyone's but Anakin's, since we just got that one last year) A remake of 7133 Bounty Hunter Pursuit (I'm still shocked this hasn't happened yet) A sandcrawler microfighter Lars Homestead (a smaller set--maybe just the kitchen area?) Brick-built ice spiders (including a minifig of the frog-woman) I don't really think any of these are super likely, but a guy can dream! -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 22. Rumors and discussion
jjr_2009 replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I get what you're saying and I somewhat agree. But at least even the "ordinary" looking figures have exclusive prints, which can help fill out any city (I get tired of seeing the same prints used in so many City sets). Overall, I really like what we've seen of this particular series so far! My personal favorite is the Forest Spirit. I'll be curious to see which ones my kids gravitate towards! -
71033 LEGO Muppets CMF Series - Rumors & Discussion
jjr_2009 replied to Borex's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm beyond thrilled that this series is (most likely) happening. My kids will probably only want Miss Piggy and maybe Kermit (my kids are all girls). But I will definitely be picking up the entire set for myself! I highly doubt we'll see any kind of tie-in set or GWP item, but I'll be content with just the rumored list of characters. -
I agree. I was too young to be part of the target audience for any of the previous sitcoms made into LEGO sets; but at least here in the US, The Office has a big following among millennials (I personally like Parks and Recreation better, but The Office is still fun--especially the earlier seasons). In terms of characters, I would expect to at least get the following: Michael Jim Pam Dwight Angela Kevin Stanley (with a pretzel, of course) And I would expect to see references to the following items/plot points: A Dundie award (using the normal "trophy" piece) "World's Best Boss" mug Pam's painting of the office building Some sort of reference to "Threat Level Midnight" (maybe a movie poster?) Pictures of cats at Angela's desk (or maybe even Sprinkles himself?) A jar of beets from Schrute Farms Boxes of Dundler Mifflin paper (of course) At least one Sabre printer Maybe a memo from Jan? Excited to see what TLG does with this one!

My "dream" animal for TLG to tackle is a giraffe. I don't think it's super likely--but then again we did get a full sized elephant this last year. So . . . maybe???

Lego City 2022 Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion
jjr_2009 replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
I also think they will bring back the goat . . . eventually. I think the other appeal of the Friends animals is that they have little holes kids can use to pin accessories (i.e. hats, bows, flowers, etc). I have daughters and this is one of their favorite things about the Friends line! -
I know it’s extremely unlikely at this point, but I would absolutely LOVE it if LEGO were to make a system-scale giraffe! Maybe if this wave of sets does well enough?

Have we had any updates on the new CMF series? I LOVED the figures on the leaked packaging, and I’m really curious to see who else is included!
-
Anyone else surprised/disappointed that we haven’t seen Leia in any post-TFA sets? I know she doesn’t have a lot of screen time, but she’s still an extremely important character.
-
I think a lot of it will hinge on the popularity of the show in the future. Capaldi is my favorite Doctor (even if a lot of his episodes are lackluster) so I'm just glad we got him in minifig form!
-
I would flip my lid if TLG released a system-scale giraffe. For now I’ll just have to settle for Giraffe Suit Guy from TLM2.

The plot thickens! I for one am just over the moon that this theme even came back! Last year's sets were excellent, and I'm looking forward to seeing what this year will hold. This will be the first time Fleur has been available as a minifigure!

While I tend to prefer the holiday vignettes, I am pleasantly surprised at how great these new BrickHeadz look! I think my favorites are the little chick and the ghost.- 238 replies

Such a fun build! Now I really want to see Carl and Russell in the next Disney CMF!

Pretty sure I posted on this thread years ago when everyone thought TLG would release a follow-up series right after the first one! The following is partially wishlist and partially just educated guessing on my part: 1. Steamboat Willie Mickey Mouse 2. "Retro" Minnie Mouse (B&W) 3. Goofy 4. Snow White 5. Dopey 6. Cinderella 7. Fairy Godmother 8. Winnie the Pooh 9. Tigger 10. Jack Skellington 11. Sally 12. Hercules 13. Hades 14. Mulan 15. Mushu 16. Cruella DeVille 17. Merida 18. Oswald the Lucky Rabbit (chase figure) I would love to see more Pixar characters included, but I don't feel like most of them would transfer as easily to minifigures.

Saw on Instagram that B&N was selling the HP Bricktober pack yesterday (UPC is 673419294300). I called my store this afternoon and they are already out-of-stock (the whole company--not just this store). So should I pay for one of the overpriced sets being sold online, or do I wait to see if they get more in stock? I also heard that LEGO Stores might be getting the Bricktober sets in around Christmas. Does anyone know if that includes the Harry Potter set?

The Best 2014 LEGO Star Wars Minifigure Round 1.7
jjr_2009 replied to VaderFan2187's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Death Star Gunner. It's just a great-looking minifig. EDIT: My auto-correct changed "great-looking" to "great-niece." Good grief! -
Super impressive. Great work!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
jjr_2009 replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I have a lot of the minifigs from the most recent wave as well as both Hogwarts sets and Hagrid's Hut. Both the sets and the figures are brilliant so I would welcome more! (In other words I'm going to be a little bummed if it doesn't turn out to be a Harry Potter series)
