Gray Squadron Pilot is a sweet figure--it's got my vote! -

Bith musician. I have one that sits on my desk at work. EDIT: Stupid auto-correct. -
Jawas are some of my favorite Star Wars creatures, so I would probably pick up a set!

Harry Potter seems to be the most obvious answer. We'll see though! -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 17 Rumors and Discussion

Was just in my Target the other day. They had a handful of S16 and Disney, which I thought was kind of strange. They were super late putting out S16 though.- 1,421 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 17 Rumors and Discussion
jjr_2009 replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
To me, the only saving grace to the whole Mr. Gold fiasco was that I really didn't care for the design that much and that I am by no means a completionist. The only series that I own completely is Series 16; however this series might be shaping up to be my next complete series, as I love almost all of the figures!- 1,421 replies

This one's easy for me. As cool as the elf is, the Tribal Woman and her little papoose make up one of my favorite CMFs. Plus, I'm not into army building, so the elf has a lot less value to me than it does for others.

As much as I do love the Wizard, the Clumsy Guy got my vote. It's such a brilliantly executed idea and included two new molds. Plus, I went as him for Halloween last year!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 17 Rumors and Discussion
jjr_2009 replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
These clues are awesome! I am definitely going with chef for #3. Chefs have been a LEGO stand-by for a while now--it's only a matter of time before one shows up in this theme. #9 could be a carrot guy--its easy to imagine TLG doing one. Of course an ice cream character would be fun as well! And #13 intrigues me (and probably everyone else). I've often been wrong about which figures will end up being popular, so I really have no idea what it could be. It sounds exciting though! I'm also excited at the prospect of a new character who has something to do with animals. Maybe a birdwatcher?- 1,421 replies

Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff torsos?

I made some a few years ago based on the existing designs. I'll try to track them down and post them soon! -
The position and future of Friends and minidolls in Lego?
jjr_2009 replied to Dorayaki's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Good points about Paradisa--nostalgia is a pretty powerful thing. I actually kind of like the lighter colors though --especially the light green color that was sometimes used. I have two daughters, the oldest of which loves LEGO minifigures. I tend to buy her City sets and Collectable Minifigures--Friends sets work well with both of those themes. She's not really into the minidolls but that could change in the future. Now the Elves theme is pretty fantastic. I'm consistently impressed by how well LEGO has done with those kits! -

I definitely love the hair piece. I'm not a huge fan of any of the previously released hairpieces that have been used for the Joker. This one looks perfect! -
The position and future of Friends and minidolls in Lego?
jjr_2009 replied to Dorayaki's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Yes, I kind of consider Paradise to be the "gold standard" when it comes to themes specifically aimed at girls. Some of the builds were great for their time, and all of the minifigures were super adaptable to the Town theme. I've been very impressed with some of the Friends builds, but I would rather see them incorporated into a better City theme that wasn't so focused on vehicles and police forces--wishful thinking on my part. I don't think minidolls are terrible, but I do think that they are quite inferior to minifigures. -
Parts that would work for teenagers
jjr_2009 replied to jonwil's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I don't know if it's the look you're going for, but the S12 Pizza Delivery Guy has a great head for teenage minifigures. -
Those are nice figures! Although, I don't know who buys figures early like that since the prices tend to be ridiculous.

Very true! I'm glad the Trendsetter's hair is finally showing up in a different color (black in the Marceline Dimensions Level Pack)--it is long overdue! Another one from the CMF theme that's ripe for reuse is the Diner Waitress's hair. It's used on Missy (from Doctor Who) in LEGO Dimensions, but so far she has not been released as a physical minifigure.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

It seems likely! -
I'm a little disappointed (like a lot of people were) that the set with Yoda and R2-D2 is a starfighter and not a Dagobah set. That being said, do you think we'll see any updates to the Yoda figure? He's one of the few characters that the redesigns haven't improved on, in my opinion. I love the sculpt of the original Yoda figure and I think sand green suits him much better than olive green does. The current figure seems (rightfully so) to be based solely on his appearance throughout the prequel trilogy, but I'm much more of an original trilogy guy myself. I would love to see a new Yoda figure that more accurately represents his appearance in ESB or ROTJ.

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this topic or if it has been discussed anywhere else, but I got to thinking about this the other day: what pieces has TLG introduced that they have surprisingly not reused more often? The first pieces that come to mind for me are Woody's torso and legs from 2010's Toy Story theme. I'm especially surprised they have not shown up in the CMF line, since the minifigures in that theme tend to use more exclusive parts than most other themes. (There is a brilliant design floating around the inter-webs somewhere of a CMF Basketball Player utilizing them) I'm also surprised TLG used the "fluffy" hair from Delores Umbridge only once outside the Harry Potter theme (and in the same color, no less). It seems like it could be pretty versatile.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
jjr_2009 replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I seem to remember there being rumors of a price hike with S14. Hopefully this turns out to be just for The LEGO Batman Movie CMFs. If not, I'll still buy them--I don't buy complete sets anyways. On a somewhat related note, the Learning Express near me is selling the Disney CMFs for $6 each. Zoinks! -
I really like the ice cream scoops being used for steam. Hasn't TLG done that before? Either way, this is a very nice build!

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
jjr_2009 replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
I hate the price-points of the two revealed sets (but I shouldn't be surprised since this is a licensed theme), but I really dug the designs--especially the Joker's car. Also, since it has been confirmed that we will be getting a pink version of the Batman cowl can we assume we are getting the ballerina bat-suit? I think that would make my daughter's day! -
I love the tiles used on the wall! I also love the plants and the candles.
