    Well our little friend Admiral pastry sure was busy the last few days, sneaking in our profiles and changing our signatures using a few special powers he has. But let me tell you a story about his fencing skills in times when I was still a rookie. I already wanted to post it yesterday, but evidently he sabotaged the whole forum ... here it goes:

    See! I knew that guide was wrong. This is a perfect example of a bluecoat. All drunk face with even more rum, unhigienical haircut, skirt for sissies and the best part - lipstick and makeup. He only misses the tangled muskete ...

    Thanks for the cool and fast review! This series is great, as all of them were. Not so many pure army builders (like Elves, Spartans, Romans, ...) because knights are generally avaliable in slightly different colors. But there are plenty figs I'd like multiples of - like 3 or 5. usually in other series I got 1 complete set and multiples of 3 to 4 figures. I also like the new distribution, though it's not the best for some figs. I'd really prefer more archer ladies and fortune tellers instead of mermaids, exo suit guy or especially the chicken suit guy. The first for the nice hair and great shield reusable for elves, and the second for cool torso, skirt and quite piraty hair piece!

    9.) by Captain Nemo - 1 point (As mentioned a clear winner also for my taste, very well built and a great idea, since photoshoping a huge Harley was not an option!) 19.) by KZB - 1 point (I really love how a few bricks on a solid background can represent a cover so clearly even though the posing of the figs can't be done exactly the same as drawing.) 23.) by The Penguin - 1 point (Same as the entry above, only two figs and such a nice presentation of the original! Also the black and white image was a nice touch.) Although these were my favorites, there are many more quality entries I like. Very well done everybody and good luck to all!

    He, he he! Nicely done but, these are more what you'd call guidelines than an actual guide! The reality is completely different if not just the other way around!

    There's something fishy about this Redcoat Quartermaster, but feel free to (ab)use him - if you dare, that is! So basically it's Davy Jones' head, POTC Officer torso and hat and Hadrass' pants. You'll need 2 Davys to get the hands right or either Luminara or Barris :D

    This was really a great idea for the contest! So many great entries. Some are minimalistic, some are great builds, some closeups and others images of big areas. Really distinct and creative entries. So I had quite some trouble thinking of something a bit different. I only have Wonder Woman and when I found the cover of #41 I decided I'll play with lights a little.     Malgus' cape would look similar I think. It only works on him for the armor piece. This cape seems a new "mold" not even in Bricklink inventory. Maybe they just cut it out of the fabric for the most annoying customers (just kidding Diggydoes). But seriously it makes the fig look like a rocket. It might've worked on Superman, but not on a fantasy model whose cape is tied together on the front and goes over the shoulders!

    Interesting, I guess it's only a partial solution, since this cape is a different version. The image on the polybag shows the currently most common one, but this one is a bit cut, stays straight and does not come over Elronds shoulders. Wonder where they found a stock of these. If I bought the figure I'd still bother TLG a little. The version on the polybag image still looks best for my taste ...

    megablocks probably means add but misspelled and d swapped with s, which got censored (sloppy Bluecoats) :D I got another question - for the first theme: do POTC cannibals count as Islanders, or do we have to use the old ones?

    This is an awesome build! I love the little houses. Plate build realy gives them a lot of detail! Also the minifigs go in the scene well, and they're so fleshy. Guess since it's a licensed build it needs fleshies :D My favorite part is the dynamic base plate. Very nice lines and I love how the next floor matches previous curves! But as soccerkid6 mentioned - porticullis can't just roll in like the fire brigade garage doors :D It'd be much better to simply change it to wooden doors ...

    Still going for VOTE: 6 by Oakenmold It's a shame so little take time to vote. It really makes things harder for organization. Seems it'll end with whose voters will give up sooner :( Maybe putting the voting link on first page - along with the last weeks winner - might help?

    Can you please confirm (preferably in the Elrond review thread, which might still be active for a while), when and if you recieve the capes? I'm planning on buying a few of these guys and would like to contact LEGO for the long capes and also ask what's the point in sending replacements to someone and denying others requests on customer support!?

    Last time I read the news about this movie, I understood that they are revamping the whole story a bit and should be more focused on the side-kick, which means Johnny will have the main role. Anyway I really hope they don't exaggerate with either main character and beside the more important characters also include some generic soldiers and cowboys. I really like what they did with LOTR/Hobbit compared to POTC regarding the character selection! But still, there could be some more "civilians" :D
