  1. [pid][/pid] Just before the year ended I managed to complete my official ToR III round 1 entry. Happy reading ladies and gentlemen from either side!
  2. Well none of our guys missed it :D Which gives me an idea for some more free comics ...
  3. First class entry! Though I didn't expect any less from our order ;) Nice clear photos and excellent story. Lots of funny things going on - crocodiles are my favorite part.
  4. and antoher messy one ;) The arrows do help a bit and there's an arrow missing from bottom left to upper middle picture. The huge crab is also a bit odd - don't understand it's purpose. But I do like the story of this one! It's the best of your headhunting dreams you've had so far ...
  5. Now, when I've taken my entry photos ...
  6. Here's my next comic just to warm up for my official entry. Another true story everyone can see I was a witness of! In case you missed: part I: Fencing part II: Artillery part III: Navigation
  7. Nice chicka there, Mr. Monkey :D
  8. This is a great entry! The story is quite funny (as funny as it gets for me being a redcoat) and original. The mooning bluecoats and the monocular effect are the best! Also LOQ made me lol :D But hey, there's some dusty LEGO in the first picture ... lazy bluecoats. Really shame you don't have time to frame and edit the pictures, it would look so much better, though it already looks cool.
  9. Nah, this ancor sure is from our inventory. Bluecoats just tie the fattest person on board to a chain and throw him in to the sea ...
  10. Never thought of that Santa actually is a redcoat - how generous. I wonder how the blues explain that to their children?
  11. It's clear that this is the islanders teritory and you're nowhere near our fortress! We don't use such primitive booby traps, one cannon is enough. Nice little comic there, maybe you'd just want to change the images that jumped on the right to be between the others, for clearer order. I'd also add black borders to the images, to make it more comic-like. Else nice photos and a funny story - stupid bluecoats rushing in despite hearing some odd noises :D
  12. This is an excellent technique for our figures to look as accurate as possible, not having to cut them from the wood. They are a bit ugly in the face though :D
  13. Cannibalism? It's food for pigs. Who'd want to eat a skinny bluecoat? We take care for our animals that bring us food and our chef prepares a special meal for them ...
  14. Which reminds me of a cool song: Rolling Stones - Paint it Black Red :)
  15. Ha, this comic is really cool. I love the very clear photography, despite being taken in little light. A good camera, or? I too think that order is a bit confusing in the first picture as Mazin said. I know it's usually from left to right and it's cool that not all the images are the same size, but they should at least be aligned by the horizontal border for easier read flow.
  16. In his suitcase there's some spare ammunition. Nice vig commander!
  17. :D I'm there to make sure the shark goes up and finds it's bait. Even sharks are afraid of me!
  18. Wow, first official entry! Quite some soldiers you have there. Also nice photos and a smooth story. I'm just not too fond of the red borders. I understand you wanted to include more of the winning color, but somehow it just doesn't work. Black would've been just fine. The story is funny and it clearly shows the bluecoats are in fact slaves to the islanders ... Wow, Commander seems he's been working out :D
  19. This is kind of funny! The photography is nice and the story could be a little better if the coat colors were switched. What bothers me is the fence, that was not pressed all the way and some uneven and too long borders. It's a nice comic overall but sloppy - just like bluecoats always are. P.S.: I see your weapon of chice is an axe, so that's why you were so bad at fencing :D
  20. If anyone winning prize C is willing to part from Agen Kolar and Saesee Tiin (already has Palpatines arrest), I'd be interested to trade my Oola and Death Star trooper. Shoot me a PM.
  21. This is my entry to our redcoat community build. Anything will do get rid of some more pescy bluecoats and saving on amunition is also a plus of this method!
  22. Dear Cardinal, since you wanted more feedback on this matter: of course we're all afraid of the tyrannous admins around here and have to stick withe their rules, even if sometimes not right in our opinions! Now, joke aside, I can tell you a few things how people should act in the first place. First you come to a forum, introduce yourself in the appropriate subforum and that is the only thread you should create in a long time. Then you lurk, comment on some threads that have been made or post a new thread with your MOC. That's it. Then, when people get to know you, trust you, then you can start your own discussions. We all supported our admins because I can tell you that this forum is one of the best organized around with as less spam and pointless threads as it gets. I guess you have to grow up a little to understand that, but coming into someones house and expect them to play by your rules is just rude. As said when you'll realize that, you'll probably create a new account since you'll figure this is the best place for LEGO fans. Was that all necessary? Meanwhile use TLGs official forums or some other fan based sites and you'll see how quickly things get messy if not moderated properly!
  23. I wont quote (a bit late response) but ... Some say CUUSOO is not about effort and nice MOCs but idea. And that people voted for the Modular town. NO! I bet more than half of people, especially after AFOL sites advertising the project voted for the fact it was a Western MOC. And that is the whole idea about this project. A modular western house with some nice renewed 1996 figures would be just what people expected. Anyway TLG clearly stated that they will change the idea as they see fit. This was clearly a vote for any nice model with western theme and Lone Ranger should not conflict with it, since the modular could clarly be oriented more to the AFOL comunity and would not be licensed. In my opinion that was the IDEA of the project, since everyone understands that a 2000€ CUUSOO would hardly sell. I too found it a bit odd (regarding the state about effort) that it was actually a MOC for the competition just put on the CUUSOO. That is another thing why I voted more for the theme and idea than the actual model, which I think, the majority of voters did too! Also TLG should realize there is a big difference about this project, getting the voters slowly - every voter knew why they voted for it - and a stupid mascot project, that has a big fan base a fast spread on Twitter or FB at a particular event and reaches the goal in a week or two. Yeah really good project ... but the mascot fans voted for it, not LEGO fans. And that is a big difference - the majority of the fans will forget they ever voted for anything in a week, let alone buy the actual product in a month - or 10 regarding the long review times ... THAT is a big difference. Really wonder how many minecraft sets were solt even regarding it was quite a nice parts pack. And how many of these were the non LEGO but game fans who just woted for the project?! Regarding the review process, I understand the license stuff takes ages, but everything was known in a month if not a week. They could just simply say: No to everyone but yes to BTF if we get the license ... and everyone would be at leas sattisfied with their process if not hte results. Thinking with Portals - another nice project and the creator did a good job for not using too many new molds, but sadly it will likely follow the Zelda route :(
  24. The results are out! I'm so disapointed with TLG and I had a bad feeling about this whole CUUSOO stuff back in time it began. It's a fine brain storming place for LEGO to "steal" the ideas and the rules are so non obligatory for the company, they can do whatever they want. Of course this way we get the feeling they want to reject as many projects as possible to save that stupid 1% of income. They might put something similar out in a while anyway ... The modular western town conflicts with Lone Ranger?! I agree but just a bit. If you take in consideration how nice the MOC is, how much effort was put into advertising it and how long it took this (in my opinion best CUUSOO project so far) to reach the 10000, it is clear that TLG acts very scorning in this case! I really feel sorry for mb_bricks. They could simply create an exclusive modular western building. Something along the lines of this years Hounted house. It could be released in very late 2013 and would have not much to do with the Lone Ranger. Or at least keep the idea and postpone it into 2014 or "until the LR is over". But nothing ... note: rejecting ideas does not mean they won't consider similar projects in the future - this clearly indicates they are trying not to discourage people in posting in this example Western thematics. But does it really have to go through this whole f***ing long process to maybe get rejected once more??? I am sorry LEGO, but this was a huge dissapointment for me, and one of the biggest blunders in a long time! I'll try to avoid having any business with CUUSOO again, ever! As CDC said, CUUSOO is pretty much dead and it's their own fault.
  25. If anyone wants a Death Star Trooper, feel free to PM me any offer.
