  1. Interesting build but I just think it's a little bit too colorful. I miss some rusty brown there and I'd skip the white for the machinery. Some more greeble could also be used - for example in top left corner the plain 2 6x6 plates look very undetailed above and under the light gray square with circles. Maybe turning them around would look better for some level difference. Else there's a lot going on in this place and I like the background story! The walkway surely is my favourite part of this build!
  2. Apart from what's been said, I have a little complaint over the minifigs. they don't look too Star Warish to me or at least they don't look consistent enough (apart from the pole dancer - which could also skip the gloves, but orange hands don't exist). Don't be afraid to swap some hands and / or arms, you can create very cool figures that way. For example the bearded guy would look a lot better with yellow hands and maybe differend legs. The "zombie" guy is also too colorful and could use some change. Else the build is really nice and smooth and I like the narrow stairway, which gives you the feeling you're going somewhere deep underground.
  3. Nicely done, all that white makes really you feel like you're in cloud city. I'd love to see some glass for the windows instead of just holes, but the transparent pieces that would fit in there are pretty rare if they even exist. Also some nice action going on there, but you have no chances against the numberless Empire forces!
  4. Oh, well that's just what I meant, just make more solid ground. But I doubt this fits into the 64x64 base?
  5. No baseplate! That's really cool. It really makes the building stand out and does not limit it on the ground. I'd still make the landing platform slightly bigger. It seems as the pilot might fall off, when exiting the pod
  6. Nice headhunter there, Dapper. I love the use of the large cone part, it really makes the back of the fighter smooth! Not too fond of the lightsaber hilts for the legs though. Should be done different ... Your minis are also nice and different from the LEGO ones, yet still recognizable. Maybe you should put it all on a 48x48 plate, and try to distribute it like in the first image, so that the photoshoped version is only a change of background and the deletion of suporters and not putting different images together. This way your MOC will look complete and not just a few scattered elements. I also love the explosion! Maybe another clear plate attached opposite to the other would look even better.
  7. Hahaha, this one really made me chuckle! If anyone didn't get it, it's a reference to a well known movie blooper. Nice job on this vig, I like the SNOT and everything going on. I'm just not to fond of the antenas on the window. It's something you would see in a LEGO set, but it makes the MOC look a bit unrealistic, so I'd add a roof like Brickdoctor suggested or just skip the antena and make it look like it continues ...
  8. Not missing anything. What I wanted to say is, that at first - before reading the blog, just your post - I thought that the Hobbit reference will be about the general shape of my MOC, which looks like the "green camper van" set
  9. Sucked into the shadows of Nar Eurbrikka ...

  10. Thanks for blogging it Brickdoctor. I thought that the Hobbit reference was to the Unexpected Gathering set. I admit the overall shape does look a bit like the Volkswagen T1 Camper Van
  11. One suggestions for the images. I once tried to take a shot through a small window and everything was blurry and out of focus. If you take a picture from quite far away it'd look a lot sharper. You then crop only cockpit part out. Your camera does at least 3000px wide image and if you crop the 800px cockpit part out, you could take the photo from a greater distance.
  12. The jamming device looks nice! I also like the green liquid all around, looks hazardous to me. Another nice touch is to include other avatars, that's what I'm also planing, since we did a lot of that in TOR III
  13. Lord Vader thinks I'm special - for creating this as my background story in SoNE ... Brickdoctor is the only suspicious profile visitor?
  14. I appreciate all the nice words. I agree that the red box screams out a bit, but there's no other piece that nicely detailed resembling a toolbox. About Vader, if you don't believe it, go ask him yourself ... maybe I really am special, who knows?
  15. Oppo is very well made, I really like the fig. Four arms is quite a challange if you want it to look good. My advice would be to tile the floor and put the figs on one stud. This would allow you to angle them a little, allowing you to do a better, more dynamic positioning.
  16. Someone asked me how I joined the Empire, so here's my story short.
  17. There I was working in the Jabba's engine room. Nothing special, just normal maintenance for some easy earnings. Stormtroopers rushed in from outside, they didn't shoot just stood there. The cowardly Gamorreans beat it upstairs right when Darth Vader step in. I pulled my gun and before I could hold it properly a strange force pulled it out of my hand, slowly landing it on the floor just in front of me. Lord Vader spoke: "You should join the Empire. I feel that you have all the competence to become one of my best troopers. This is your last chance if you want to see another day!" What choice did I have, with my wrench against the lightsaber, I joined ... Hope you guys like it, C&C welcome and yes I want this judged too
  18. Wow, that platform is huge! It would be cool if it could be lifted up a little so that it would be in air. If you're thinking to make the building higher, try making it higher from beneath, add a supporter or two, and the platforms are floating in the air. Tan really looks quite well with the white and gray. The ship looks cool and I love the working mechanism for landing legs.
  19. Both ships are well done and also accurate. They are more in a midi scale, so I don't know where's the point in fitting the minifig into TIE?
  20. Smooth entry, but I don't like the story too much. I thought we're not supposed to deviate from the OT story too much and by rescuing princess here, you're leaving Luke to rot on the antenna under Cloud City Rebells destroy themselves ... And on the build, I like the round design of the building and the platform is nice and smooth. Though beeing rounded would look even better. If you have enough bricks, maybe it's worth trying to expand the bridge a little. The platform is just too close to the doors. Also as in Sebeus' creation, I'm not too fond of the gold color in Cloud City.
  21. Very nice build. I really like the platform and all the detail under the bridge supporter! The ship is also good looking and has the SW feel! However those blue plates look too much like water. What I'd do, is make the 2 clouds a bit bigger, and make the supporters come out of the clouds. This way could discard the plates and it would look like it's floating in the air ...
  22. I hope it's not a candidate for yet another one of this horrible hair piece!
  23. I really like the gun design, it sure feels like some heavy machinery! The platforms are a bit simple though and making them gray if you have more bricks would still be OK. There should be alot of greeble underneath and on the sides of platforms. Good to see some more Imperial forces storming Cloud City!
  24. It's a nice little build and quite some detail in it. I really like the windows and the bordered floor vents. Maybe the blue just isn't the best color for the border. Also to make it look more like Cloud City, I'd add a wall behind your guys - a white or light gray one that is. I think it would add something to the vig, since now it looks like it's outside and you're standing on a balcony or something ...
  25. The build is nice, especially the floor and the back walls - if we skip the too much yellowed gray bricks in the floor. But somehow I must admit that this does not feel enough Star Warish and is more like for fun. I've never seen any stormtroopers have free time yet alone play during it. And the pink iPhone ... is just a bit too much. But from the fun angle of view, I relly like the cleaning stormie keeping the helmet on
