Lovely! There's quite some wall details and the blue lines really go well along with the white. I love the fact that the scene is like it could be in the movie and it does not mess with the original storyline. The nonsquare base is also a nice touch, which is well finished with the plates. I'd only repair the top line to be on the same level, so there would be no gaps between the arches.

[SoNE Ep. 1] Imperial Troops Have Entered the Base!
MstrOfPppts replied to MKJoshA's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Nice update, the minifig positioning is nice and I like the removal of tan lights. The plants look interesting too. I was thinking of including them in my MOC but decided to skip that detail for I can't remember seeing any in the movies. -
[SoNE EP. 1] The Edge Of The City
MstrOfPppts replied to Jacob Nion's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Great work, rebel scum! This is exactly how I imagened buildings being built, when I told people they feel too small. Just making a quarter of it makes it look big enough not taking too much space and also alows you to make an interrior, which is amazing too! The ship looks just like something rebels would use - a rusty old worn van. Also I'd like to see some more detailed shots of the outer lower ground, looks quite nice. The only complaint I'd have, are the colors of the interrior. Again I can't really make it out what bothers me. There's nothing wrong with the choice of the colors, but I'd try to make the transitions a bit smoother if you know what I'm trying to say ... -

[SoNE EP.1] Extraction from Cloud City

Very cool upgrade of your first sketch! The building in brown is still not very fitting for Cloud City but lets say it's some lower parts of the city.- 15 replies

Well you must admit it looks a lot better!

I presume that the white hall is on the outer side of the ship so it ends there. That could easily be represented by skipping the base plate. Create a simple gray or dark gray base for this MOC and remove the baseplate. With all the studs sticking out it really looks unfinished - as if something had to go there ... The cell is nicely done and also the walls have quite some detail. Also maybe tiling the top of the walls would add a nice finish.

[SoNE free build]Mission Command
MstrOfPppts replied to Donnie Bricko's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Yeah something that I've missed in all the Star Wars, good old mission planing. In every SW or CW there's just a few generals with a Jedi making plans and somehow all the clones on the battlefield just know what to do ... So this is a very welcome idea for a MOC. The screen does look a bit too much like blackboard which I guess is far too oldfashioned for Star Wars. The build is nice and smooth though as always I miss some wall detailing since no ship has many plain walls without any pipes or something sticking out. -
[LDD MOC]Zenith - Old Republic escort cruiser
MstrOfPppts replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Excellent ship! I really prefer these CW and TOR ships to all those boring OT and PT ones, which are all so similar and just plain gray. I'd really like to see this one brick built!- 88 replies

SoNE - Episode 1 - Save passage to freedom
MstrOfPppts replied to narbilu's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
It'd be nice to have links to previous entry or hide it in the spoiler tags ... I can't remember exactly how it looked, but this one looks great! A lot of details on the buildings - love the vent and the headphones greeble part looks very cool. I know it's hard to represent the air, but I'm not to fond of the black plate there. I'd rather try removing it, so that the air is defined by the background. Or maybe at least lift everything for a few more bricks, since this way it looks like some black swampy water underneath the platform. This is really a very minor detail that bothers me, but overall a very good creation! Also the colors of the pictures are altered a bit too much. I guess there's hardly any blue in them. But I'd love to see LEGO make that Light blue grayish Twi'lek! Reminds me of Eleena Daru -
No guard duty as it was first said. I was sent to escort Lord Vader himself to pay Baron Lando Calrissian a visit. We entered a big hall where we met Lando with a few of his guards. Vader pulled their guns out of their hands just in case and ordered Lando to turn over the Millenium Falcon crew when they arrive. Lord Vader was then escorted into the dining hall and we were sent down to the storage chambers to prevent any signs of rebel movement! The overall look: The look at the ceiling: Zoom at the minifigures: The right wall of the hall: The left wall of the hall:

[SoNE Freebuild] "In the shadows to the left."
MstrOfPppts replied to MKJoshA's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Instead of hoses you can use ordinary pipes - 3, 4 or 6 long bars which are used for axes or even 1x1 round bricks stuck together into a longer pipe ... and anyway, there's way more greeble than hoses on the walls In this MOC only one or two hoses would be quite enough. I'd change the floor into something else though - make it an endless pit and remove the floor completely. -
They don't mix things here. All the humans have normal black eyes. Only Yoda, Maul and Asajj have the CW eyes, which are aliens anyway. The same thing was in the Lego Clone Wars game, where even Ahsoka, Aayla and others used the normal black eyes, so I doubt that is an indicator for new figures. But the movie version of Ki Adi is very possible since it uses all existing moulds (same as Seasee Tin).

[SoNE Ep. 1] Imperial Troops Have Entered the Base!
MstrOfPppts replied to MKJoshA's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Great minds think alike they say. This MOC reminds me of my entry a lot! I too created a Cloud City interior with all the white bricks I had ... I too used the cheese slopes for a mosaic floor and am just adding some finishing touches before taking pictures. I think the middle line of the floor work is a bit out of color, the tan lamps bother me as well - they stick out too much. I only used white and grays and tried adding the color with figures - white stormies, yeah I know ... Also the window on the inside is out of place. I guess most of the buildings in Cloud City are huge and round, which is nicely represented with the huge window. But the one on the inside makes it feel like it's a hall sticking out of the building, which I don't remember from the movies. I'd also add some more greeble work to the walls and make the top line continuous, maybe even add a ceiling. Looks like a lot of criticizing, but it's all little details, else the build is very nice as well as the Luke's hand detail. There's a bit of the story flaw though - you say you've reached the top chambers, but the fight took place deep under the city. I guess the went could have brought the hand up. -

[SoNE Freebuild] "In the shadows to the left."
MstrOfPppts replied to MKJoshA's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Nice smooth little build, but a bit to plain, especially the walls. Some greebles or pipes would add a lot to this build. I don't know what the technic axes represent but they look a bit unfinished just laying on the ground not being connected to anything. Another sugestion, when building the walls cross the bricks in the second row or use some SNOTed plates on the rear of the walls. This way the light won't come through the gaps when taking pictures of your MOC. -
Haha ... I didn't say it's not good, it's cute and I know exactly how you feel since I have the same problems when thinking of what to build. I always wanted this type of RPG in the SW universe, but would prefer it in the CW or TOR time. Not for the sake of anything else, but having unlimited possibilities to create a jedi or sith. That would result in many more interesting characters - how interesting is it to have all the same stormtroopers? Anyway back on topic - the walls of cloud city really are white but not plain, they have lots of markings and greebles in them.

I first noticed the simple yet quite nice looking base. The two joint bricks work well there and the pipe is also a nice touch. The build is nice and clean, but I find the walls a bit plain and boring. The OM-AT is very well done though I think it's more of a transport we'd find in the Clone Wars and not in the OT. I know us Imperials have quite a hard job creating something to go with the OT and not be the same as everyone else is doing - especially our pilots, since everyone knows our arsenal and troopers are not tweaking their own fighters. Not having the right Lando? Well that's a bad excuse for with LEGO you can create one. Gray cape, light gray or blue torso and some plain pants ...

Thanks Sandy for the great recap! However I guess that that's all the pictures I have, since there were only 3 allowed and I've already taken the MOC apart for I have some work to do in SoNE ... I did take more than three pictures though the angles are only slightly different. I'll see what I can do.

Fantastic build! This is a nice capture of the lower works of Cloud City. The brown looks nice and does not feel like wood but more like rust or brown metal. All the piping and detailing is also nice. I relly like the containers. Good job, for a rebel that is But the story wise, I think no Rodian would dare threaten an Imperial officer. Or at least he'd be punctured by blasters of all the Stormtroopers around. Else it's a great idea, but carbonite should be used to avoid the blocade scanners and not to secretly dump them into trash. Anyway Lord Vader want's every civilian held on the planet and no trash worker is an exception!

I prefer this version to both your previous ones. It's color scheme is the best so far, apart from some excessive gold on the wings like Brickdoctor mentioned. I really love the bigger engines, which makes the vessel feel more poverfull!
