  1. Although the MOC is like a scenery viewable only from one side, it's a cool idea and some nice parts usage. I do agree it looks better when it's dark darker so the color diferences are not so noticable. The sandcrawler is awesome!
  2. Owning any of the sets is not a condition, you could find some pieces in your limited collection that are in those sets. For example the two tan slopes are in the desert skiff set, so you could easily add two more pieces ... Anyway I do approve your decision to at least help the empire - more than most of those lazy troopers are managing to do Well the build itself is not that bad after all. I just can't remember any swamps mentioned on Tatooine.
  3. The build is quite nice but as said a bit small. Some surrounding piles of junk would help it a lot. Also the extra parts selection is a bit wierd in my opinion - all are small and hidden in the MOC - not adding a lot to visual apperance - therefor I think they could be chosen wiser. Also I don't think you got them all right - there are two 8x8 plates with fence on the floor and thhey don't count as the baseplate and I don't recall any of the sets having them ...
  4. What a nice entry! I love the building, very well made! The ground piping and all the machinery around is also well done. I like it that there's some recognizable parts - from the A-wing. That's how I imagined this episode to look like ...
  5. This build is quite interesting. My favorite part is the cockip too. Sadly I think it misses the SW feel. It looks more like a magna robot or some Exo Force walker. Also I think it's a bit too colorful. I know the parts pile was limited here so that was an extra challange.
  6. Congrats to the winners. This was surely one of the best contests lately. The amount of entries was enormous and it was joy to look at them all. I just couldn't find time to enter my version, which would be the only van that the VW van reminds me off - good old green, yellow and red van from the old "Ganja farmer" game
  7. Aww man! Why didn't you ask for it again?! I know you said you can't access it before, but I thought it was handled via PM afterwards ... Try my link and ask next time you can't download from Bob or anyone else ... Well you still have the whole weekend if that works for you. Else you'll be greatly missed in this battle!
  8. Nice MOC! And the first of Nar Eurbrikka if I'm not mistaken ... I must say I'm not too fond of your small TIE, it looks too small for minifgis. The tower looks too much like airport tower and doesn't have the SW feel. Everything else is spot on. I like the wall, the sewer pipe is aslo nice and the swamp is very well made!
  9. Yesterday I finally took time to sort the needed parts out of my half sorted mess ... so now I'm off to do some MOCing!

  14. The gray in the walls adds a lot to the plain black walls. Also the tiling of the floor looks much much better!
  15. Nice story and MOC. I like the wreckage feel. The ship and the radar look nice and although I'm not too fond of brickbuilt animals the craby doesn't look too wrong. A bit mechanical here and there, but organic is something very hard to achieve with bricks ... Okay, this one does not make sense to me ... I thought only whole figs don't count as extra parts and not only parts of it. If it's not so,are we allowed to use 20 black hands and 20 white legs??
  16. The front of the speeder is well made. I think the engines suporters look a bit thin and should be reinforced somehow since they stick out quite a bit. The overalll look is really nice and it gives you the feel of those Tatooine flying thingies.
  17. I really like the pipelines in this MOC. The big front window is also nice. I think that besides the already mentioned facts (too much black, too many studs and too narrow stairs) this MOC somehow misses the SW feel. Maybe some wall lighting decorations and huge speakers with some electronics around in corners would help. Also there's too many humans around. Pubs were mostly visited with the bottom rank of alien species ...
  18. What a cool ship! I love the dark red and chrome color combination. The old gray somehow doesn't feel right here. Makes a color too much in this scheme, not like in castle MOCs. My favorite is the front view! As other's already said, astromechs position is a bit odd. Maybe putting the rear engine back for 2 studs would give just enough space to position it like in System sets ...
  19. What a nice idea for that baseplate. That one should really count as 5 extra parts but you don't have the problem with that yet. I like the bottom right part of the MOC and the speeder is aslo neat. The rest I find a bit empty for the size of the plate. Guess the way to go with this episode - to get a nice clean build - is to go small ...
  20. Although I said I won't vote if we get less than 10 votes, I guess 9 is enough and it's fair to all the participants! Outstanding competition and some awesome buids! Also the amount is huge and the decision was quite hard to make. Since I'm a Star Wars fan I really like most of the SW entries. So many distinct vehicles instantly recognizable and well built by different people also! So here are my favorite entries: 10. Monster Van by Yatkuu - 2 votes 15. VAN-VAN by Trooper10 - 1 vote 17. VW-Wing Starfighter by LegoJunkie - 1 vote 22. Slave-VW by Trooper10 - 1 vote 56. TMNT Party Vagon by midi - 1 vote 82. All Terain Camper Van by Oky - 1 vote 99. Vammoth by Brick Laboratory - 1 vote 109. TIE Bomber by GIR3691 - 1 vote Good luck to everyone in this competition!
  21. So assuming most of the players use default avatars - we're allowed to use a lot of ordinary Stormtroopers / pilots / rebels? And is this topic going to be pinned and appropriately tagged? Also a minor aesthetic correction - to go with original SW numbering and also with previous episode - the entry topics should be prefixed with [soNE Ep. II] instead of [soNE Ep. 2]. Enough talk, now lets go back to building the drawing board ...
  22. I guess it's just here for the restrictions. It'd be unfair to demand from users to buy certain sets or making it impossible for them to participate in an episode. But there might still be similar episodes in the future I guess. Maybe It'd be interesting to see a LDD only episode?
  23. This is an interesting concept for an episode - it's quite a challenging task using only the restricted pile of bricks. Especially if someone does not posess all the sets. Therefor allowng the LDD entries seems logical though I'm quite against it for competitions ... Also one question about the LDD entries. Do they need to present possible builds or are we allowed to use some impossible touches like floating bricks and such? And are LDD entries allowed to be rendered with povray? Anyway I still think I'll stick to real bricks, just need to buy that TIE fighter which I wanted to anyway - what a great excuse I have now
  24. Looks nice but I'm not too fond of combining SNOT and studed bases.
  25. Great build, quite an improvement from your previous ones. I like the SNOT technique though I think there's still to many colors ...
