  1. I'm not missing this years event, so sign me up. I don't mind sharing the room with Redhead or any other ladies , just keep me away from CopMike and Bonaparte - they sound suspicious ...
  2. I guess your character's name can't be changed ... at least not the one on the index, but you can call yourself Jake or Billy or Dash
  3. Very nice idea for a contest and some amazing entries! To name a few: Instructions archiver's Time machine Yatkuu's Monster Van Trooper 10's VAN-VAN Lego Junkie's VW-wing Trooper 10's Slave-VW dr_spock's Pisten Bully Camper Others are not far behind, but these are currently my favourites! Keep them coming everybody.
  4. Finally I managed to take the photos and do some editing ... it took me far longer then expected but since I'm an IT I'm used to it ... Hope you guys enjoy it and good luck to all the contestants! ... now finally off to building my Ewok village and some more SoNE action!
  5. A few minutes walk south of castle Fortaan on the edge of the Waldurk forest there's a small cave. People simply call it the Abyss for there's a rumor about this cave extending more than 100 meters and even being connected with the castle through an underground passage. The deepest chamber is supposed to be the grave of a high lord who died about 500 years ago. A team of adventurers decided to explore this ancient tomb and to their surprise they really found a narrow passage leading deeper and deeper. Fighting a few rats and bats they proceeded quite fast until they finally reached a wooden door. After entering they were amazed at the view of the ancient architecture of bridges, pillars and stairways spreading from one edge of the cave to the other. But what they did not expect were all the bones. Lots of bones. Walking bones, that is ... Party members: Orc veteran barbarian Bagamul Human fierce knight Gerald Elven precise ranger Merwen Human stealth rogue Tedril Aoi elemental mage Dolms NΓ΄rns holly cleric Andariel The overall look of the bridge and the stairway: Stairway to the crypt and the gold storage guarded by the undead necromancer: Top view at some fighting action: Disclaimer: this MOC is not based on any particular quest, so sorry to all the hardcore Heroica fans. However I tried to include every known class and some distinct races for characters, as well as came up with a quite possible story and location. Hope you all like it and maybe a future quest will be played in the Abyss!
  6. Yes, that is correct. I see you're new, so feel free to introduce yourself in this part of the forum. Also leave a comment on a creation or two and that's it. But don't start some mindless posting with no meaning. People don't like that here. Eventually, you'll get there, everyone did ...
  7. Resize your image to 100x100px, I'd also sugest to use it as your avatar - at least for the time of SoNE and use the image in the sig-generator. Copy the code into your signature - that's something you edit on your own in your profile ...
  8. Ok, ok, I understand that some quest masters put a lot of effort into their builds. What I wanted to say is that participants - people playing the quests are not requried to build anything to play along. Sorry if anyone was offended by my comment Also I have a question - the rules say 3 images per entry. I presume that images with two ore more shots edited into one picture (multipictures) are not allowed or are they?
  9. A cave with the undead? That's exactly what my idea was ... well it's finished now, waiting till tomorrow to take the pics at daylight. Great to see that many entries, since this is not a builders part of forum
  10. The interior looks excellent! Although the whole MOC still has a bit too much play set feel if you know what I mean - The enlarged building looks OK, but the top of it makes it feel like it's in micro or mini scale. The interior has a lot of unconnected and unreachable places. It's exactly how TLG would design a set. And all these things make the MOC look not as a realistic replica of something. Nevertheless the build is smooth, clean and as a whole looks very good and is easily recognizable.
  11. This looks like a very promising start, but there's plenty of things I'd change before the deadline. The use of only 1x2 gray bricks makes the room look too much like made of stone. Also the brick bricks don't fit there, since stone is the last material they'd use in Cloud City. The technic mechanism for angling the hallway should be hidden somehow - a roof or something. And another thing, more of my personal issue, yellows and fleshies do not belong in the same MOC! I don't mind either but together they look horrible as long as they both represent humans ... On the other hand I love the angled hallway, the detail in storage room is also nice and the minifig positioning is quite logical and entertaining. I'd say this is a great start which with some improvements could really become an outstanding MOC!
  12. This looks a lot like cloud city! The buildings are a bit narrow as said in a previous entry, they look like there's only place for an elevator in there. I know it's hard to make them bigger or even round, but if you'd make them both into one, it might look better. The color scheme is fantastic, love the orange and sand blue details. The Ant-Eater looks pretty cool, though not much like something from the SW universe. The front reminds me of the alien cyborg flying thingy from Half Life 2.
  13. Teddy bear Ewok village!
  14. Yes! That sure is a nasty junkyard there. A lot of detail and scrap metal lying around. But the best thing is the leaking pipe! Now I wish I had the transparent hose
  15. Nice build! Though I can't remember anything similar from the movies, I really like your color scheme.
  16. The cloud car is fantastic! It probably does fit a minifig, but I doubt all of these guys would squeeze in. The build looks promising, I like the antennas and the bridge. The platform could be thicker and the building should be a lot wider. Now it looks as if it only fits an elevator to this platform ...
  17. Actually there's only one vowel, others are left out on purpose. I just prefer the automated versions of things, but this one's cool too. The thing is, I can now create a 100XP sig. Since it's a promotion for our groupbuild, maybe the link of the sig should lead to the introduction thread instead of the sig source?
  18. Great work with the sig-generator. I really like the idea and the execution as well as the outcome. Maybe it could be connected to a DB somehow, so that it would automatically add XP and titles and update your current sig?
  19. What a lovely creation! It's very smooth and convinces me although I too doubt the usage of white walls in a hanger. The wall greeble is fantastic and so is all the machinery there under. Only one hose appears to be too short - one technic pin is too exposed. Also love the opened door, but I'd cut them at the top. The part sticking out looks wierd - appearance means a lot more than functionality at static MOCs.
  20. Nice creation of the Cloud City industrial part. How many grilled tiles are there?? Excellent job on the lighting and photography!
  21. Don't get me wrong, their ideas are allright, but the execution is a bit sloppy. First, who wears a helmet in a bar watching a pole dance? Second, there's 7 figures in the bar (including Stormtrooper and the robot) and all you see is dbley and black hands as if everyone wore the same gloves ... well it's this small details that bothers me, of course you might see it differently.
  22. Thanks Brickdoctor for explaining me! I often have this problem expressing myself, especially when trying to tell something doesn't feel right to me. I just have this feeling at the first glance and immediately know something doesn't fit and then I try to figure out what it is and sometimes I interpret it wrongly. I didn't mean to be harsh criticizing anybody's entries and sorry if it sounded that way!
  23. I agree with all that, but I bet TLG will keep on filling the calendar slots with useless weapon slots or just wall parts instead of giving us up to 3 more (very usefull) minifigures!
  24. This Advent Calendar has way too many figures to be an actual set. That's compared to previous calendars ...
