  1. I think it's the latter, but who cares, most people think we all are! P.S. Holodoc won't be up untill around 11 a.m. so Skalldyr and Redhead feel free to come back later.
  2. Category A: 1 - 1 point 2 - 2 points 14 - 1 point Category B: 1 - 1 point 10 - 2 points 17 - 1 point Nice contest Bob! Pity I didn't find time to participate ... some really nice entries! Good luck to everyone!
  3. It also appears it is one of the ten pirates sets that were only released in the US.
  4. I knew there's something else ... the set was released when I was 10 years old!
  5. 10 distinct letters in the set name, though I think there must be something else ...
  6. It takes 10 subsequences to build each of the big wings under the throne.
  7. It's the 10th smallest set in the cars theme (piece count vise).
  8. The goblin king crown has 10 spikes.
  9. Accuracy my friends! I do understand though, that waiting the whole night for the new set to pop up might be extremely exhausting. It is bright green, the other green is lime. What kind of an AFOL are you anyway? I always explain colors from LEGO charts to anyone. Only after the wierd looks I understand that they have no idea what I'm talking about ...
  10. Not those pescy rebbels again ... Congrats to everyone! And thanks a lot Nom Carver for a very interesting episode! Hope the next one will be as interesting as this one was ...
  11. I think that a more correct answer might be that the set has 10 distinct pieces since according to bricklink this set has 11 pieces in total.
  12. Thanks everyone for the comprehensive feedback. I see there's quite some complaining about the content, which is great, meaning the build itself is OK! I will not beat around the bush, so here are the simple explenations: I used a L shaped plate next to the door to connect the corner decorative build not to leave little gaps in the build. To cover the stud I simply used the crate. There's a similar reason for the irregular pattern of the ground tiles in the other corner. The extra crates there are to hide the Shadowtroopers since they looked a bit too exposed without them - even rebels are not that blind ... besides I see nothing wrong with using the detention hallways for some extra storage capacities and anyway prisoners also require supplies to live ... I agree about the upper black pipes, they looked a lot better when there was not so much greeble on the walls. And yes, sometimes the walls are just plain walls, but believe me it really looked borring that way. Once I started adding the greeble and all the bumps I might have gotten a little carried away. Yet still anything is possible in SW. The big hole in the wall is meant to be some connection for delivering crates by a crane or conveyor. What, where, how? I don't know, the main reason was to stick in two extra shadowtroopers for I really didn't want to make the rebels look too incompetent with just two troopers taking them all out. There was a bridge planned but I simply skipped it for the fact that the build would become too dense and it'd be hard to see things underneath. The hole also gave me a great reason to use more colors! About the rebels, they're just an escort squad, the generator is being blown elsewhere. I did want to put hair on someone but I forgot too. Looks like I was too proud of the 5 helms I just recently bricklinked for the SoNE purposes! It's not a yellow minifig there (though why would that be strange in a SW universe - yellow Twi'lek ... ), it's the movies Nute Gunray in the CW Nute Gunray clothes. The images were taken too fast and I didn't notice the beam bar covers the faces of the prisoners. Sorry about these bloopers, I'll put more content-vise effort into my next builds and rethink things twice!
  13. Excluding the minifig, this set has parts in 10 different colors: Black, Light bluish gray, Blue, Bright Green, Lime, Dark Pink, Pearl light gray, Trans-Dark Blue, Red and Yellow
  14. Awwww ... no points for the reverse ten?! Well isn't fun all this about is, hmph? Anyway thanks for the point, I will not repeat that same answer again! Besides I'm quite uncompetitive with others *khm* Redhead *khm* that have nothing to do in the morning ...
  15. Does the wig count as some kind of hair? Which one - or both? Yes, I bet everyone will check BL and all the similar answers to previous sets every day ... Edit: found some more ... The whole box contains 6 x 10 minifigs and is exactly 2 x 10 cm wide.
  16. When it comes to Mr. Gold there is currently exactly 10 lots for sale on bricklink. Not to mention that the fig is about 10x overpriced! :D
  17. Well the set number also has a reverse10 in it => 01 :) I didn't want to spoil the fun, but I sugest Holodoc you don't pick such obvious names for the images or upload them at the last second. Tweaking the brickshelf link spoils the anticipation if you upload the image some time before you do the post ...
  18. There should really be no problem. Nothing beats the freedom and a free bottle of rum served in Tortuga for every pirate member! P.S.: If I remember corectly you don't have any redcoats ;)
  19. Thanks Ninja Nin, this really gave me a great idea ... Bonus picture added!
  20. Well, all you have to do is ask ... It's a technique I've used in a previous freebuild and I really like the look of it since you get rid of the half plate edges of the slopes. It makes the middle plate lifted for half a plate from the floor, but that's not an issue or you could level the floor with it if required. Note that there's a half plate gap between the cheese slopes, since they are only half plate high on one side an 2 plates on the other. That could be replaced by a 1x1 LBG plate and 2 1x1 tiles ...
  21. Ok I'm a bit confused. Isn't the point in having an event shirt, that we all wear something in the same color that we or the organizers agree on? But here everyone orders just anything. So is the point only in the logo?
  22. Congratulations on another exceptional build! There's plenty of details others have mentioned that look very appealing. My favourite part are the consoles in the comm room and also the black turnatable bases look very nice for the frame. As always, there's a few things I'd change and that are all the exposed studs or antistuds. The two 4x6 plates with greeble on each side could be plated to make a more uniform look with the rest of the build. Also the antistuds around the door and on the wall of the weapon storage bother me a bit. I don't know why, but I always imagined sullust to be brown, so that's another change I'd make to the rockwork. It'd also bring a bit more color to the scene, but as said nonetheless very nice build. I too see what you did there with catching all the different base sections. Well done with that, though another complaint (content vise) might be I find things a bit too crumpled up. It's a base we're talking about after all and not some mini rebel hideout, so I doubt the comm room would be just above the detention room ...
  23. I unterstand you completly, since I was wondering how to revitalize the MOC a bit more. Though I must admit I'm not too fond of putting dead bodies in my MOCs. Also the posability of the minifigs is very limited and a sitting rebel looked weird. And I prefer my MOCs to show a neutral scene, that goes with the story regardless of the episode results. Maybe rebels can still escape from the Shadowtroopers and my intention really was to illustrate the "calm before the storm" - 15 seconds till the detonation in main generator and the blackout ...
  24. It's OK, since too much excitment leads to sufferinfg. Suffering leads to anger. And anger leads to the Dark side!
