  1. Nice little build, smooth and clean. The hands levers are excellent! Maybe adding another line of bricks would add some more space to the MOC and also a possibility to fix the plain hole in the wall into something like doors ... Also, don't tell anyone that by shaking Rebel's hand you attached a little transmitter to his gloves ...
  2. Haha, afraid of people carrying axes around Christmas time? There's plenty of those around here and everyone knows what's going on. The AT-AT could use some stronger legs but it's nicely done. My favourite part is the snw covered generator and the trench also works well!
  3. Small and simple yet cute. But it won't be enough this time! The doors could use some more detail. The ground does not bother me at all but the top could be tiled or some smoother finish could be aplied. Snowing the crates and the server is a really nice touch and gives the abandoned feeling. Also the storage spaces in the servers makes me feel we're all from IT here.
  4. Wow! This is a really nice masterpiece from you. So detailed and so smooth! I see the SNOT techniques getting more and more popular. Lots of detail and plenty things to like. May favorite part surely is the metal bar with lights and hoses sticking out in the hanger where it really adds a lot of detail. The only complaint would be, now why didn't I think of that! And that general sure reminds me of Robert De Niro in Stardust!
  5. Cyborg wampa! That's a clever idea and something to really be afraid of. Well at least it's more dangerous than if there was a platoon of Rebels waiting outside ... The cave is nicely done and the two levels is also a nice touch. Yes the chairs could be simply improved by only adding a 2x2 round plate under them. Also did you use technic pins to attach the left stalactite? There's a gap visible and could be improved with other SNOT techniques - two headlight pieces for example. Also another thing that bothers me is the front pillar being a bit leaned and out of place. This way the photography feels a bit rushed. But there's plenty to like too. The floor standing on only two pilars looks great and gives enough room underneath to give the big cave feeling. Like the SNOTed floor and the christmass tree is simple and nice.
  6. Aha, I wanted to point out that the clear elements are not so detailed ... Well thanks a bunch for this quick guide. I know everything exists and stuff but it's always reading the novels bofore finding the right thing. It's nice to see it from a person who knows what he's doing and points out the important steps just like you did here. Everything is understandable and will really be helpfull if I ever try anything in LDD!
  7. Win the Rebel scum in a snowball fight (checked) Download any usefull data (checked) Decorate the base (checked) Feed the Wampa (well technically Rebels did that, checked) Destroy any reamining servers (in progress)
  8. We had only one main goal on this mission and it was to win against the Rebels in a snowball fight. We arrived at Hoth before they did, so we put a sign outside the sector E entrance: "Christmass time, no weapons allowed!" They obeyed the simple rule and after entering a huge snawball fight occured. We modified one of our cannons to shoot snowballs. Now that was a fun thing to watch! The Rebels left after a while all soaked with snow and shivering in cold ... Here you can see some of the Rebel SoNE participants. Stash was also fleshified! :) Here's our brutal snowball cannon. Downloading the last usefull data from the computers. Bob's aproaching to finish the job ... Steve's decorating an empty abandoned storage room. Half of our dropship was full of his silly presents. And here's a brave Rebel trying to retrieve Leia's clothes. Good luck with that, Rebel scum! Anyone know which side Santa's on? Whole MOC from one side ... ... and the other. All this holiday time was an excellent excuse to make a fun episode like this one. Thanks for extending the deadline, I really wouldn't have made it otherwise. Glad to see I'm not the only one ... Hope everyone had a nice Christmass, it's a bit late for this now, but there's always the next one! Good luck to everyone in the contest!
  9. Well that set is 69,99€ on most european S@H and yes the rules are a bit tricky. It should say 75 Euro (70 US dollar). You know the US price thingy I don't want to start here again ... Anyway a rough piece count limit would be way better which I presume is around 700 +- 50.
  10. Another astonishing build from you! A lot of fun things in this entry, it took me quite some time to check it all out. Leia's room is very cool, and that's the inflatable Han doll on the wall! 3D poster is just a nice way to say it. The crate content is interesting too! And the inclusion of the EBers ... well that was my idea you'll just have to wait some more time, hopefully I manage to finish it tomorrow! Also, guess who's the Santa this year?! [where's a cool sunglasses smiley, when you need one ...]
  11. Very nice build. The lights add a lot to the images and the heater shot is very cool for the red light and the whole scene idea. One thing I am not too fond of are the gaps above the doors for using arches with slopes. Maybe that could be hidden by snoting some tiles onto the walls?
  12. I won't for sure, because making it brickbuilt and studless might be a nightmare ... Don't know I usually use LDD to try things out and wouldn't waste time placing the plush tauntauns on top of each other. Making levers and turning whole scenes around is quite time consuming. Well the short comment was only for the lack of time so I'll add a bit more: I too am interested what you rendered this thing on? I once experimented with the PovRay thingy and it either looked crap or I had to use the calendar to figure out when it will finish. I admit though I never dug up into all the settings and really have no idea about rendering, so any advice would be great!
  13. Thanks everyone for nice comments and stop saying it's too clean or I might consider doing another version! Yes I admit it, this build took me far longer than expected and I wanted to first build it all in tan, to see what I'm missing and then add the details. Since I'm a bit busy lately (SoNE ep. III entry and some other stuff) I just decided to take photos or it might take another month to do so ... it's a bit undercrowded for the same reasons too. I hope I don't need any bricks to destroy it and make a really cool final version of this build!
  14. Nice build! Ddespite being done in LDD it has a lot of details and the render is excellent. I'm not too fond of bick built animals but this wampa is kind of cute. I know that this episode was more on a fun side, but your story is a bit too much ...
  15. I must say I love asymmetric ships and this one is no exception. At first I thought "where are any thrusters?" but then I realised the engine is in the middle. Really nice build, I'd only change the rear hatch of the cockpit to look more smooth ...
  16. Did everyone skip lessons in second grade when they wrote letters?
  17. +1 vriverajr3 - very friendly and nice trader!
  18. Another great entry from the Empire! The snow and ice work is really nicely done. I'd only sugest to use some more inverted slopes towards the top of the walls, since the chambers weren't exactly cubic cut. The computers and the whole control room is excellent and there's just enough junk lying around so the place does not look empty. One minor problem I really don't like are some very dirty bricks ...
  19. As it's been all mentioned already I agree this is a very fine build! All the good things were pointed out as the doors, the computers, the hacker droid but I must admit that the cave is outstanding. The build is very creative and the blue lighting is a cherry on top! I know it's your way o doing things, but I'm not too fond of this story telling thing. The only reason is that then your MOC does not look complete or at least it does not look continous. Only by following the images put on here in the right order you can figure it out. I think that MOC should be a moment captured ... Nevertheless it's still a strong entry and we're all glad to have you on the right side!
  20. Well if noone has noticed yet, I really like the studless builds. I understand how much efort is put into such creations if you want everything too look nice and smooth and this creation certainly looks so. My complaint would be the four studs on the screen table. Maybe adding tiles with the keyboard print or something similar would help a lot. And although I relly like the idea of having a black wall for a tunnel, I prefer to do a curved tunnel so that one cannot see the end. This way you get more of the 3D feeling since the floor continues in the hallway. The build is rather small but still I miss some more detail. The piping is nice but puting some junk laying around might help. But I guess that's the problem with studless creations - they look empty pretty fast in my opinion.
  21. Everything BEAVeR suggested stands and I'd also add that even if building in LDD it's nice that the MOC is more open. Skip one or two walls ta give it more air and so that things are better seen from more perspectives. Also building the walls at least a bit higher than the height of the minifigs gives a more complete feeling ...
  22. Any new Imperial trooper is always welcome. And a good builder is a big plus! You really cought the feel of the base right. The snotted walls came out fine and the storage room is also nice. I'd also sugest you include more images in the post. Linking to the external gallery might divert some users from checking the whole build. Also the images are a bit grainy and some details are hardly seen. I don't think you wan't to loose points on the presentation part on what looks like a really strong entry!
  23. I had a little stop at the Mos Eisley Cantina and am now on the way to Hoth!
  24. After escaping the wreckage me and my clone troops arrived at Mos Eisley. We went straight to the Imperial outpost, where we got our next assignment. You can imagine how thrilled the troopers were to return to Hoth ... Anyway before heading to our next mission I used the chance and contacted my old pal Flaren. I told him to meet me at the Cantina where I was escorted by two guards. I told them to wait and guard the entrance while I do some talking. Flaren was really surprised to see a stormtrooper sit next to him and even more surprised when I took of the helmet. I knew it straight away, he's smuggling for the Rebel scum. After a short talk he admitted the cooperation with the Rebellion. I couldn't turn him in but we also had an agreement he'd be playing a double game and spy for us on the Rebel movement. Hope you guys like it, C&C welcome as always and I'd like this judged
  25. Hahaha, I don't know if it originates from, but Lojze is a common Slovenian name. And does not sound a bit Abyssin to me. :D Your crawler looks interesting. It really feels like a smaller brother of the giant brown beast used by Jawas. It's a bit blocky here and there and the walls might use some more texturing details. I like the fact that it has an interrior but strangely I could not find a cockpit or any other control room to navigate the machine?
