  1. This looks great. Small and detailed to perfection. Well done!
  2. First Sergeant Alarkis: We tracked the Rebel Beacon out here in the middle of nowhere. My last deployment on Corellia consisted of pulling security in the resorts, much nicer than this. The air is thick enough to swallow out here in the jungle. The rebels have to be out here for a reason. The orders from Lord Vader were very clear, "Leave no stone unturned". The rebel crew out here may not be directly involved in this plot to kill Skywalker, but they could be following something a of significance. First Sergeant Alarkis: *Over Intercom* How you holding up kid? TheBeeze: Are you kidding Sergeant? Anything is better than that rock Tatooine. First Sergeant Alarkis: Well you won't be staying with us for too much longer. I hear you will have a new unit soon enough. I have put in a good word for you at the academy, so hopefully you can do something with that instead. Let us know if you find that beacon. TheBeeze: Confirmed and thank you. *Scanning Droids sent out by the Imperial Forces to help locate the rebel beacon* Meanwhile Downstream Rebel Pilot: What are we gonna do? Rebel Pilot: What does it look like? Rebel Pilot: Yeah, but how long will it take to find us? Rebel Pilot: Dude..... chill. Task Force 3 is within the system. As soon as they pickup the beacon we'll be golden. Rebel Pilot: I just hope we scuttled the U-Wing enough that the imperials won't be able to track us any more than they already have. Rebel Pilot: You think they'll find us? Rebel Pilot: You need to relax. Escape and Evade until reinforcements find us. They won't find..... (Looks Off in the distance) First Sergeant Alarkis: We're getting close. Readings are picking up. Rebel Pilot: Oh Crap! They're gonna find us. Rebel Pilot: Get in the damn cave and shut up! *ELSEWHERE* First Sergeant Alarkis: Beeze, how far out are you? TheBeeze: The weather here is messing with my systems. I'm pretty close. Within 100 Meters. I have to get over this rock wall, but I'm a bit tied up. First Sergeant Alarkis: Move It! TheBeeze: I'm getting there! TheBeeze: Life readings up here are unsettling. I feel like there's more to th... First Sergeant Alarkis: Nevermind the life readings! Did you locate the beacon? TheBeeze: Yes Sergeant, I found it. Send in the retrieval team. The beacon is in a really shallow water way by a waterfall. First Sergeant Alarkis: Perfect! I'm sending them over now. TheBeeze: Sergeant, the troops with the beacon claim its rebel locator. They use it when they have downed air crews to alert nearby rebel forces to send an extraction team. First Sergeant Alarkis: Excellent. Have them shut it off. We can use that to our advantage. Bring it back to base with us. Out. TheBeeze: Roger. *Switches off Commlink* I wonder if those life readings I was picking up were the rebels fleeing the scene? These shock troopers are good, but its all gun and run with them. They never stop and think. I'm sure we'll use that beacon wisely though. This just seems like a bust to me.
  3. This is great. If you're planning to keep it together, building the landscape around it would be phenomenal. Great Job!
  4. Yeah that is definitely more in line with what they looked like over there during the war. I've seen that one before, there were parts I liked and some I really didn't. Considering mine is somewhere around 6-8 feet long, I have separate sections throughout that work into each other. So I have a large area I need to cover.
  5. Yeah in a sense. Your ground coverage is impressive. I'll be needing to do that as well. The Vegetation in Vietnam was always noted as super dense with double and triple canopy coverage. Rice Paddies over there are more squared off sections instead of broken up hills and they can cascade directly into thick jungle. I have my work cut out for me
  6. My question wasn't so much how to build any of those things, it was finding a balance between overbearing jungle (which Vietnam's Jungle's are) and still allowing detail to poke through. Just looking to see what others have done as I create certain scenes.
  7. Like anything else, we'd have to pay more. Look at City Police Minifigures Set 850617. That cost more than the Storm Trooper Battle Pack and came with no build. The pieces from the Storm Trooper Pack are by far the best. For 12 bucks, I'm buying minifigs to build an army and getting extra pieces. If they put "better" builds, expect to pay upwards of $40 for 4 minifigs and a decent build. Now what would be nice would be if they did some Alien packs for fillers in MOCs or Droids.
  8. Hello All, So I've been working on a large scale MOC for the better part of a year of the Vietnam War. It has been my most ambitious and challenging build to date. The hardest part of this build has been the landscaping by far. Moving Rice Paddies to the thick jungle and still having a presentable MOC with plenty to see. I am curious if anyone here has ever done a full scale jungle build before. How did you build your trees? How did you balance between "filling out" the jungle and still being able to see what's going? I'm at that point where I'm just looking for ideas to keep the mind fresh and perhaps give me more ideas to add as I progress through this build. Thanks,
  9. Is the list of planets for each side found in the Core Rules and Player Index up to date? Corellia is listed under both.
  10. I'd like to jump in on this, just need to understand what we need to do a little better.
  11. I'm currently working on a very large scale diorama and and am running into some trouble in my planning phase. I am using 48x48, 32x32, 48x 32, size base plates. Is there any sort of tool out there to organize these things on screen in a display and move them around as I play with ideas? Trying to organize where I want certain plates and sections of the build. Or is there a way to print out a blank template divided up into the squared regions so I can draw on it and plan? I messed around in Microsoft Word with Shapes and so on but it was a big pain in the megablocks. Appreciate any help!
  12. I'd like to see them if you have them.
  13. Good Job All Around! Thank you to those who organized this.
  14. Tell me this wouldn't look bad @$$ on a Desert Planet.... Rebel Sandspeeder by Jesse Beeze, on Flickr If only they made these pieces in all these colors..... *SIGH*
  15. If you're building it, it doesn't really matter. If you have any plans of ever reselling, just make sure you keep any of the original parts around and keep track of anything you add that'll need to be removed.
  16. Maybe this gives me a reason install digital designer haha. Thanks man.
  17. I know this is old, but this looks awesome. The level of detail is astounding. I am curious if anyone has ever rendered one of these in tan? I'm working on a project for something else featuring ships of different colors and camouflaging them and such. I thought one of these in Tan would look fantastic in a Tatooine type setting. If someone has the Designer file and can post an image of this one in tan, that'd be appreciated.
  18. The floor pattern is great!
  19. This is phenomenal. Very Well Done!
  20. General ZOD!
  21. Did the rules change on this? I was about to build something and see you now have to have at least 10 for first category.
  22. Reminds me of the Ranger from Interstellar with turbines haha. Looks cool
