  1. By working hard on quality builds.
  2. @KyloStabbedFirst You're good. Welcome.
  3. No problem. Just be sure to read EVERYTHING before your next question
  4. Please see the main rules section for side builds. Currently players are only eligible for: In addition to the campaigns, players will have a chance to build alternative projects to earn extra points to enhance their character. All of the Side Missions above are at the player's discretion, these are not required to play the game. It is possible for side missions to influence the big picture of the game somehow. Supporting the war effort- Players can depict scenes from their country where people are doing things to aid the war effort. Everything from military training to factory production of goods is fair game. Sabotage- Players can build scenes showing local resistance sabotaging the war effort of their enemies domestically. This is not a SPECOPS mission so there should be NO High Speed Tier 1 NVG guys running around with tricked out guns and Semtex. These are underground resistance fighters that your country might be arming or supporting. Media- Players can build scenes showing the media covering outside events that are going on to enhance the game. Troop Build Up / Movement- In order to move large concentrations of troops to other regions for the next campaign, players can build scenes showing their forces moving into a new position. (Air or naval travel to a friendly a nation, ground movement along main roadways through allied nations).
  5. Scope out all the different kinds of Side Builds and be creative. Side builds also don't necessarily have to include your character due to the nature of them. Ha that'd be funny.
  6. Sure, that's much better. Thanks!
  7. Players, factions, and builds for countries are listed in the World Map Thread. Those of you who provided SigFig pictures have been added to that thread, the rest of you will be when you provide the pictures. Having a separate thread for each country would be very cumbersome. Your descriptions and details should be depicted in the context of your builds. The AAR Thread will index all of your builds for people to find them easier. How you lay out your AAR post is up to you.
  8. What kind of weapon is that supposed to be? Make sure you read the rules, we are depicting real life stuff. You can always use a starwars rifle or create a weapon using parts but make sure it is something that depicts a weapon in reality.
  9. I wanted to add to what was mentioned above: Those of you who are starting this game now on the first shot have the opportunity to really shape not only the countries and characters, but the game as well. Our goal in developing this game was to allow players to be as creative as possible. We want you to think outside the box and build things that will challenge others as long as you're within the rules and not breaking the game. We've only provided a very broad introductory bio of each country, it is up to you and your imagination to elaborate on it. Whatever you decide to do with your countries, those after you will have to follow. So, it's up to each of you to add color and flavor to your countries that will stick with them as the player base grows..
  10. Put it in with your introductory post and sigfig picture.
  11. Absolutely. I will add it to the player base along with sig fig pics. If you provide the links. You are allowed to develop your nation. There has already been (1) Side Build, so feel free to do those. We are handling some player issues on the back end before announcing the first campaign.
  12. Thanks for signing up. Walara has not been made available for selection yet. Please check out the countries above and edit your post.
  13. Players who haven't posted a sigfig picture, please do so in order for us to build up the playerbase
  14. You can name your character whatever you'd like.
  15. @Spud The Viking it's New Brickika haha. Welcome.
  16. I see what you did there... some subtle foreshadowing. Nice. Congrats on the first build! The label is just [GBW]. You'll need to drop this in your AAR post if you haven't already.
  17. Players are encouraged to use 3rd party weapons and accessories for their Minifig and vehicles. You can check out the general rules topic for a list of vendors accepted. No megablock or clone brand building parts.
  18. Another topic people have been asking me about is when the first campaign will be. We will be rolling out the first campaign in due time. We'd like to give everyone time to get accustomed to the rules and details before rushing into that. Players are welcome to complete side builds that they are currently eligible to do so they can get involved before the first campaign. Side build count will be reset when the first campaign rolls out. And again, please feel free to ask those questions here.
  19. The Great Brick War Catalyst Part III- Operation Jackal Preparation has begun for an Operation in response to the Briolui Radar Station Seizure. Filace is cool and calm, but also understands it is now under a lot of pressure with the additional capture of Toohati operatives working on their side of the border to disrupt their way of life. Though Brioului and Toohati have yet to formally declare war, Filace believes they will wait until just before they are ready to strike. Filace has put together a small team of crack soldiers to cross the border into Briolui and begin the first stage of a multi part Operation titled "Jackal" to even the odds. Electronic AWACs indicates that Briolui has not gotten the Radar Site up and full functional since taking it over. One of the civilian contractors informed the intelligence service that they disabled a system prior to being evacuated. Briolui will fix the problem, but it is taking them some time. Map Name: Studica - Grid E4- 2 Miles from the Border to Briolui- 2200 Hours Nightstalker Pilot: Base, this is Nightstalker 3-4, we are dropping the Cobra package now. Cobra Team, you're up. 20 seconds to drop. This one's gonna be tight. Cobra 1: Roger that. Let's go guys, get to the ramp. Cobra 2: Damn! Look at how close those trees are! Cobra 3: These pilots sure have a big pair of.... CUTTING IN Nightstalker Pilot: 10 Seconds to Ground. Hold On! We are doing a quick touch and go. Cobra 1: Roger. Let's go! Nightstalker Pilot: Touchdown. GO! GO! GO! Good luck boys! Cobra 3: We are all off and clear Nightstalker 3-4. Thanks for the ride. Cobra 2: Lets get to that tree line. The team broke into the jungle to get out of the open. Though still in friendly territory, the team wanted to remain undetected by both friend and foe so they traveled only by night. They had a long journey ahead of them which would last a few days. This was not a race, it was a marathon. The team switched over to secure internal comm channels and use throat microphones to communicate. Cobra 1: 3 this is 1, how's our rear looking? Cobra 3: Rear looks good. She must work out. Cobra 1: This is me laughing 3...... Cobra 3: Rear is all clear 1. It's getting a good look at this damn heavy Laser Designator. Cobra 2: How long we going tonight 1? Cobra 1: At a minimum we're crossing that border tonight. Radio Silence unless we run into something from here on out. The team comfortably made it across the border and was on high alert. The south central portion of Grid E4 has a massive lake in it. The team trekked through the night right up until about 0400 Hours and false dawn quickly approached. The Cobra team skirted along the lake a bit before setting up their NDP (Night Defensive Position). The team circled the NDP twice to make sure they were alone. The team went down for the day and took shifts sleeping and eating. Well inside enemy territory, everyone was on high alert. Before moving out, Cobra 1 called in a SITREP to home base. Cobra 1: Base, this is Cobra. How copy over. Crackling Radio: We have you loud and clear Cobra. What is your status? Over. Cobra 1: We are proceeding to Rally Point 1 in Grid E5 and will be there before First Light. Crackling Radio: Roger Cobra. Be advised, Phase 2 of Operation Jackal will be in motion at that time. It is imperative that you relay any issues in a timely manner so we can abort if necessary. Satellite scans indicate you should have little to no interaction with others before reaching the target. Cobra 1: Solid Copy on your last Base. Cobra 1 Out. The team moved out and started Night 2 of their journey. Though they had no encounters, the terrain proved to be quite difficult as they gained elevation. The vegetation was thick and overgrown drastically slowing the teams progress. By the time they found a suitable position to go quiet for the day hours, they were exhausted and in need of a break. Similar to the day before, the team slept and ate in shifts only this time it was abit of a heavier sleep. Cobra had only a few more miles to cover this evening. Before moving out, Cobra 1 again called in a SITREP Cobra 1: Base this is Cobra over. Crackling Radio: We have you Cobra. Status Check. Cobra 1: We succeeded in hitting rally point 1 last night. No signs of detection. We are (3) miles from our final position. As of now Jackal is a go. Any update? Crackling Radio: Good to hear Cobra. Jackal Phase 2 is in motion. Switch to secure comm channel Charlie after this transmission for tomorrow evening to make your SITREP. We will be joined by another contact, Callsign Gunslinger. How Copy. Over. Cobra 1: Cobra confirms. Switching to Secure Channel Charlie after transmission. Will make contact with Gunslinger. Crackling Radio: Cobra be advised. Today's satellite scans indicate you boys are not alone out there. Vehicle patrols are now occurring in your neck of the woods. Be on Alert. Confirm when you are in position of the target. Over. Cobra 1: Copy last transmission. Cobra will confirm target on arrival base. Cobra out.
  20. Due to the overwhelming response, we have released (2) more countries for selection.
  21. Several of you have PMd me about the issue below, we are adding this in to the general rules. If you have further inquiries, please post them here so we can discuss them and also so others can see that the questions have already been asked. On LDD builds: players are allowed to use LDD for their MOCs. However, LDD builds will be held to a substantially higher standard. With an unlimited supply of bricks and faux color palette, you should be able to build the most detailed build of all time. That said, you will have to work very hard with LDD to achieve a high point score.

  24. So you've read through the vast amount of information here. Now what? This topic is for all general discussion, questions, and inquiries about the Great Brick War. We welcome all members to engage in a thoughtful and productive discussion. Please be kind and courteous!
