Was looking around to see if anyone has created or found a screen accurate version of these guys whether it be custom print, combining parts, etc?

[Anthology]- Large- The Bounty Hunter on Ord Mantell
TheBeeze replied to TheBeeze's topic in Watto's Junkyard
Thank you all. I appreciate the compliments, really I do. Like I said originally, the glass tunnel-way was a concept that popped in my head and then I kind of worked an idea around that concept. Making it stable took some thinking. Ultimately, I doubled up on 1 x 2 x 2 hinges on each side to overlap and keep it stable. The columns were thrown in to in a way block out the ends of the hallway aesthetically. The columns were all built with parts from the pick a brick wall at my local lego store. Can swap out the curved white slopes for brown plates and BOOM you have trees. After building the first one I thought, "Man, wouldnt it be cool if I connected that to the upper walkway level....?" So then I started planning how to connect the two and build an elevated ramp. This was a fun little build for me and I look forward to more. With regard to my timeliness which everyone has commented on: I used to run a group on Facebook (maybe some of you were a part of) called "The Brick Builder's Challenge". We ran weekly, biweekly, and monthly build contests simply for fun. No prizes or incentives, just fun. The group was actually fairly popular for some time. After a while though, the participation became stagnant (especially since the AFOL FB Page started running prize contests and Brickagram gained popularity), and a lot of people were very vocal about the topics coming up so ultimately, I stopped running the events. So in short, I've sort of trained myself to be able to build things like this in a short amount of time under pressure. One could say this was pent up since I haven't run a contest in a while. I have been working on a massive Vietnam War MOC now for several months which has been a much different approach in terms of time haha. So these (2) contests for me were a welcome break from that. Again, thank you all for the kind words. I look forward to seeing your builds! -
Following the destruction of the Death Star, the newly commissioned Captain Solo lead a group of Rebels to a remote location on Ord Mantell. The people of this planet had been locked in a gruesome civil war for years. Unknown to most, the Empire operated a covert facility on the planet for gathering resources and information on everything it could. Following their return to the planet Yavin 4, the rebels were informed of this facility by astromech droid R2-D2 who uncovered the plans while on board the Death Star. With the alliance preparing to withdraw from Yavin 4 and relocate to the planet Hoth, resources and man power were at an all time low. General Rieekan tasked Han Solo with getting a group of rebels together to land on Ord Mantell and dispose of this facility. Young Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, trusted companion Chewbacca, and the dynamic duo of R2-D2 set out with Han Solo to destroy the facility. After being discovered inside the facility, the Imperials scrambled to take out the rebels before they could destroy their Refinery. The Storm Troopers were to be expected, but Han was caught off guard by the bounty hunters who were coming after him with a vengeance. After narrowly escaping with his life, he is forced to think long and hard about his future and what he intends to do about his bounty. Our heroes sneaking into the facility The alerted enemy The Ensuing Battle (Edited Picture) The bounty hunter(s) The empty facility The lighting The Behind the Scenes So this is my larger entry. When I posted about the smaller one, I commented saying I was low on time due to travel. That is entirely true, but part of that was also building the bigger entry as well haha. I read that there is a dark horse comic version of this in which a Bounty Hunter never seen on screen confronts Han. I decided to take my own spin on this with placing Fett and IG-88 in the build. All in all, built on a 48x48 Base Plate. The glass tunnel bridge was my initial idea for what this would look like and then worked from there. I decided to go with white as my main color scheme mainly because my Grey stock is being used towards another MOC right now (Ninja Turtles). I am pretty happy with how this turned out, I hope you all enjoyed it. I am of course welcoming of all comments and criticisms. I love the feedback. Thank you to those putting on this contest. Win or lose, these contests are a great way to generate ideas and get people's gears turning. The concept of this contest is great and opens up so many possibilities for others. I look forward to seeing others builds. Link to my Flickr Stream for HiRes photos and other builds. https://www.flickr.com/gp/132410925@N08/8rY0K6

[Anthology] – Small – Lando's Wardrobe Raid
TheBeeze replied to Galactic13's topic in Watto's Junkyard
Haha the return of the Jedi attack on the death star. Good one! -
Thanks Man! I totally agree with you on the waterfall, it's the one thing that I'm iffy about. I originally built it the same way all the way up like it looks on the bottom, but it made my lighting trick next to impossible. I may try something else if time permits. I appreciate the feedback.

After years of turmoil between his parents, young Ben Solo has reached a turning point in his life. The strain of training to be a Jedi under his Uncle Luke's wing has been unbearable. The legacy of having the blood of royalty, evil and greatness tears at him. After a rigorous day of training with his Uncle and the other students, Ben Solo leaves the temple grounds on a worker transport platform. Passing the lush jungle and natural landscapes of Yavin 4, Ben felt a cold chill up his spine. A mysterious haze of curiosity and calmness overcame him to find the source of his experience. Looking below the short cliff, he found a waterfall that seemed to be calling to him. Banking hard and fast toward the waterfall, Ben felt a heightened state of anxiety, anger, and fear. Drawing his custom lightsaber while approaching the waterfall Ben Solo stood in cautious while peering into an apparition of his own likeness. Masked by the mist of the waterfall, a robotic voice called to Ben from beyond its own darkness. I have not participated in any of these contests before so I hope I'm doing this right. This small MOC sits on a 32x32 baseplate. When I first read about this contest, this image popped in my head and I thought it would be interesting to visualize. Creating the rockfaces on boths sides is a technique I do not normally employ, but decided to challenge myself and try for this. This was built very much with a perspective and point of view in mind. One look from another angle the internal workings and behind the scenes become visible. Here is the picture unedited. The picture above had minimal editing of some sharpness, color and brightness correction based on the angle of the lighting and camera positioning. Here is a zoomed out shot of the entire MOC. I don't know if this is frowned upon or not, but here are the behind the scenes Pictures Top Down shot showing the wiring for the lighting running from the waterfall to the platform. [ Shot of the open back panel to control lighting and revealing our apparition from behind the waterfall. I achieved the silhouette of the Vader Force ghost by shining a bright white LED straight at the background white board which in turn caused a soft white reflection of light on Vader creating his shadow on the waterfall. That took countless attempts to get it to look halfway decent. I contemplated removing pieces of the waterfall to expose him but ultimately decided against it. So I hope you enjoyed. Like I said this is my first time doing this so input on what is expected and what is wrong is appreciated. I hurried to get this done as I will be traveling for a portion of the month starting next week. I look forward to participating in more of these. My Flickr https://www.flickr.c...0925@N08/qx9iR1

Saw this section and figured I'd contribute a bit. I've been working on a massive Vietnam War Diorama for a few months now. With Vietnam era minifigs very expensive and far and few I decided to make my own. Literally a week later, Brickarms released their new vests that have a few similar styles that would have come close haha. We live and learn. I used miliput standard putty to mold the gear. Anyway, here are my US/ARVN and NVA/VC Units. I made over 100 of these and probably still need more. Hope you enjoy.

Hey all. I've been lurking here for a while but finally got around to registering and now posting. Been building for years and just within the passed 2 years really back into it. I look forward to engaging with some of you and learning and expanding on what I have already. Here's some of my stuff:

Are the use of background images allowed? IE a backdrop behind your MOC?
