  1. Thanks for the review! I don't really know what to think about this set. On the one hand, a truly impressive thing with very and cunning building techniques. On the other - well, the transition between the tapered bow/stern and the straight sides looks really terrible (in the lower part of the black area). Slight disappointment, I suppose.
  2. Nice idea to modify the 21046 set that way! Everything that has to do with airships is cool anyway...
  3. Hi Davide, thanks for the information! That's exactly what I thought. The pictures almost look as if they were from an advertising campaign of the '80s. I like that nostalgic appeal very much!
  4. A very nice new interpretation of a 12V classic! Brings back sweet childhood memories... What program did you use to render the pictures? Doesn't look like Stud.io.
  5. Marvelous! And great photos - so clean that at first sight I thought they were renders.
  6. These wagon bases look really interesting! For my narrow gauge models, I use LGB link-and-pin couplers anyway, which at the same time serve as a central buffer. Therefore the lack of separate buffers wouldn't matter. So yes, the link would be great!
  7. That's really well done! And the interior is the icing on the cake - I didn't expect that at such a scale. Thanks not only for sharing, but also for making it available on Rebrickable!
  8. Hi Davide, A lovely little train! I already saw the locomotive on Flickr, but the waggons are equally good! Too sad those LGB bases aren't also available in a longer version with 2-axle bogies. Thaks for sharing! Sven
  9. I thought you were just trying to avoid "camouflaged advertising"... And as you see - your model is recognisable without explicitly saying what it is. I would consider that as a compliment.
  10. Well, let's call it what it is - your Escort looks really cool! I think you should very well show it in a separate thread.
  11. Thank you very much, @Dazzzy !
  12. That looks great! Windscreen parts flipped by 90° to model the slanted cab front windows - that is absolutely ingenious! The use of window frames as ladders is also clever. Would this work in real life? I would have thought the frames were too thin to snap in the clips. I like the buffer design, too - even though it would cost a fortune to really build it...
  13. I wouldn't say that. A well-conceived, clean manual solution is (IMHO at least) just as clever as an electrified one. AND it's eco-friendly and will exercise your finger muscles...
  14. So here's the final version, with redesigned doors and smaller windows:
  15. Oh, c'mon - you don't really believe this yourself, do you? P.S.: Congratulations for being frontpaged!
  16. Hi Emanuele, looks really good! Do you plan to actually build that magnificent overhead line from the render pictures (maybe at least a short piece as a display background for new models)? Best regards, Sven
  17. This is a really beautiful model, very accurate and well-executed! Thanks for sharing!
  18. Well, I think this still needs to be cleared... With Creator EXPERT (not just "Creator") being kind of a successor to the "Model Team" line and the cars being models of real-world prototypes (except for the new pickup, that is) and being built to a scale larger than 1:20, I think they belong here. @Jim, @Milan: Can you please clarify this matter?
  19. Hi @Guyinaplaguemask, looks good! However, I think the model could be cleaned up a bit: As there's no colour pattern as on my model, you could replace the dark blue "L" and "triangle" tiles on the sleeper walls with normal 2x2, for example. And I would attach the windscreen wipers 1 stud closer to the central pillar. Btw: When looking at prototype photos, I noticed that the side windows (too large), door handles (totally different) and the slopes below the doors on my model are not correct. I then redesigned these areas: The required parts arrived today, so hopefully I'll be able to show real-life photos of the modified model next weekend.
  20. Here in Germany, at least, the new narrow tyres are available at Lego Bricks & Pieces for a reasonable price (part no. 70490). Maybe they are on their Russian website, too? (I can't check because unfortunately I can't read Cyrillic letters... ) I hope it's not the same truck in the first two pictures, with a narrow wheel on the left and a fat one on the right...
  21. Ah, I understand. And no, it's a real photo, not a render.
  22. I found the slots look less prominent when turned inwards. Well, of course there are also pin connectors without slots (part no. 75535), but they are ridiculously expensive in light bluish grey.
  23. Tinkered a bit with my camera and Photoshop yesterday... Would you pull over if you saw this in your rear-view mirror?
  24. What an amazing project! It will be great to see it finished. And, IMHO, it definitely belongs here. As for the tray, I would leave it without PF or PU and instead use kind of a crank which could be attached through a hole in the side, or something like that. With electrical functions, you lose too much space for modeling the interior, I think. Those little sportscars are very nice, too. Do you have detail pictures, especially of the door mechanism?
