  1. mmm sounds very logical. Thanks
  2. Thanks for the reply, I just meant someone who built a lot. I agree about the seats idea. In my bus I'm now working on the driver's seat. from my noob perspective ( ) 5x11 seems good for changing connection direction.
  3. not at all the same, my build is a beginner one. Suspension is not even something I know how to do yet :-) Its also a bus not a car
  4. I live in a flat. I don't have area to dedicate to LEGO yet, still thinking how to do that. My many unopen yet boxes are in boxes on my bedroom cupboard. My workplace is my guest room. This is what guests see when they are in: and this is what they don't realise is there: I build on this table or outside in the living room.
  5. Thanks for answering, I asked this because I had an idea and started building, I built the gear box and the drive then the rear chassis. Then I jumped to the front face and now I have tough time linking the front chassis to the rear while making the structure solid. I knew I put myself into trouble :-)
  6. This statement led me to 2 questions: 1- Is it even better to try to make several modules that are easily connected and separated, or is that less possible for most builds? 2- from expert perspective, is there a known order to building a vehicle?, I assume the modules are: base chasis grear box drive steering other mechanical functions upper chasis body
  7. Aside from the fancy car, what information we have so far on the 2H set sizes? Seems 42054 is most probably going to be the smallest one. Or is it not?
  8. Thank you, I went to the main page and read all the good to knows, and also bookmarked the FAQ which is really rich. but in the pinned index I only see the contest, the great MOCs, and the 2016. Where are any collection of valuable tutorials that deserve keeping very accessible? And what about pinning this thread?
  9. Wikipedia says that BWEs are the largest ever machines so is it expected to be the largest LEGO set, surpassing the AROCS? And if it will include a huge superstructure, where would that (or part of it ) be used in Model B?
  10. What's up people? I'm relatively new here and discovered this thread only today as it bubbled up. May I suggest pinning this as it should be handy for quick little posts. Also it may be good to include 2 other locked pinned threads, 1- general rules of Technic forum, what is expected from members and what the culture here is used to. 2- Noob guide to LEGO Technic.Includes also the very well known stuff by the experience. Having these pinned up are very helpful for new people and for arranging and accumulating knowledge. I hope this or some of it makes sense.
  11. Am I missing something? what's wrong with non-vehicle stuff? A clock for instance. What's wrong with what you mentioned?
  12. My wife got upset with my new LEGO madness. But recently she attended one build and liked it and started to participate. But of course still, she continues to hate it a little.
  13. Just if useful to anyone thinking to buy MK2: I was deciding today to buy 42009 or not as its almost last chance to get it discounted from one place (160Euros including shipping). However, I took my final decision not to buy it when I found on Rebrickable.com that my sets (mentioned above and not including 42042 or the ones not bought yet) scored 88% on color and 98% colorless. Most of the missing 12% are black/gray and only few missing inexpensive yellow pieces that can be readily available on BrickLink, of course excluding the 32 axle and the 16 axle.
  14. EV3 in 2014, almost 30 years after my last build as a child. I wanted to get Technic long time back, as early as 2007 but its too expensive here and I couldn't afford that until recently when I learned how to buy it for reasonable cost.
  15. I respect simplicity. I'm not a fan of trillion piece models.
  16. The 1st black car in post 1 is insane! You are also sharing your LDD files, kind of you.
  17. Liked. This seemed to me like a LEGO set, simple and functional.
  18. Great work, I see one with the same color everyday on my way :-)
  19. Totally agreed!! I also plan to get this set, just watching for a big discount. However, since you mentioned this is your starting set, you want to get acquainted with cool Lego mechanics, and just to let you know: 42009 and 42008 are almost at end of life. Both are highly desired sets by Technic fans and both are rich in parts and mechanics. 42008 particularly has also Pneumatics. So if you are interested and have access to them for good price you may like to get one or both first before their prices jump high forever and keep 42025 for later since it still has a year of life during which you can watch for a good discount.
  20. I am learning about this cool thing from you guys. From what I understood, does this allow many degrees of freedom with a single EV3 controller?
  21. I like how this looks, how it works, its color, and how you are presenting the build process.
