I like it very much, but bucket looks too small. What about builded bucket? Or it would be too heavy?

Thank you My inspiration were cars such as Alfa Spider, Fiat Barchetta, Mazda MX5 or MG F, however it don't represent none of them directly. B-model will be some kind of hotrod with straight engine behind front axle. Well, I must say that this color scheme is huge compromise. I just have 6 sets, from small to mid scale. Most of my panels and liftarms(with exeption of all kinds of gray) is in red thanks to 42029 and partially 42024+42040, and then in white(42040) and yellow(42024+42028+42035). Unfortunately, many of them I have only in yellow, so I've had to decided to make this color scheme or sacrifice shaping. Finaly it works better, then I've worried. As you can see, there is also one white bionicle tooth in front of left mirror, just to test, how it works in whole design. Now I'm going to make list of parts, which I'll need for different color schemes(I could try orange/white red/white, black/yellow etc.) but don't know, if there are all those panels in those colors, so I have to check BL. I also want to make this one in LDD before starting work on B-model. I wonder, how many parts is built in it, Last time I've tried to count them, there were about 250, but it was barely at half of the building process.

[MOC] Galloping Horse

This one is just amazing -
Well, as I said yesterday, here is some pics of almost final A-model. All functions works OK, steering is operated by HOG, steering wheel rotates as it should, doors and bonnets are openable, front bonnet has safety stick to hold it in open position and covers spare wheel, back bonet covers 4 piston boxer engine.
-
It seems to me bit complicated and mainly not very pure LEGO solution. Meanwhile I'm at about 90% finnished with A-model. Appearance is almost done, I just need to solve some issues with steering and some manual functions plus some details(rear lights, side mirrors etc. Funny is, that I'm just in box 17x14x42, which is 9996cs I'll post some pics tomorrow.

This one grows nicely. It has great amount of functions in such a small shape. And appearance is also very nice and authentic. When you manage to nail B-model, it'll be one of the favourites for me(well, it also depends on entries, which we hasn't seen yet, contest is just on the begining).

Thanks for your kind words. I'm not sure, if it'll be tribute to 8865 test car, it will be maybe too panelled for this purpose. I made another update - foldable roof. Sorry for poor video quality, it is my first one and made by not the greatest smartphone camera. I'll try to make improvement in next one. Roof is operated by knobs on both sides behind front wheels, it uses small LA hiden in the floor between seats. I'm satisfied, how it works, I only don't like hight of the roof in folded position. On the other hand, this is nothing unusual on roadsters, when there is some kind of deflector behind seats, which is almost as hight as windscreen.

I know, what you mean, but as Jim said, there is no problem to add some pins, liftarms or conectors to A-model, when you find out, that you need them for B, if those parts fits to whole design of A. Problem is to hide some specific parts, which just don't make any sense in building A-model.
-
OK, so I made some little update. Now it is two studs wider and wheelbase is three studs longer. Frame between axles is one stud lower. I add windshield, seats and partially floor of the cabin. I had tough two days at work, yesterday I had some ideas about suspension, which I couldn't check until I came home. Then I reliezed, that it would be way more complicated, that I had thought. So I'll let it unsuspended for now, maybe I'll try something after contest. So here is how it's going: Please ignore those black liftarms on the front end And also in the box - 42x18x13 studs: It looks like there is plenty of space in front, but when I'll shape it with panels and bumpers, it'll just fit.

Very nice start. I also like, that you planned totally different B-model.

[TC9] WIP 4x4 Racer

This one looks like some heavy duty vehicle! I wonder how it'll transform to B-model -
OK, so i'll try to "photoshop" it somehow. But one more question - will it be mandatory to present both models this way also in video, or only in pictures? Because make it in video would be more complicated, therefore i should be finished with building sooner to manage required presentation.
-
Hopefully it won't be mandatory, cause I don't have enough parts. Yes, i could buy them by bricklink, but now I would like to build only with parts I actualy have(which is even more challenging with less then 4000 on my shelf) On the other hand, official sets also have only parts for one model, when you want build B-model, you have to disassamble A-model.

Nice one. You still have planty of room to make it bigger with more functions. Or switch it to B-model, add some parts and make different A-model

[TC9] Motor Grader/Dump Truck

Nice, it looks almost done! Cabin should be bit shorter, it would help to mask, that it is too low. Proportions will be better then. Good luck to have enough needed parts for B-model -

With every update it looks better and better -
Besides the fact, that I haven't had technic set in my childhood, my dark age started at my early teen years, when I left LEGO and started to build plastic aircraft kits. It takes about 25 years to come back to LEGO. It's hard to say, which set it was - i bought 42004 for my nephew and it exited me that much, then next I bought 42029 for myself. I still can't believe, that this is my new hobby, when I'm almost 40. My girlfrend takes it with no problem, maybe she still hopes, that this is just short period, which will ends next summer
