    Kumbbi i do agree and love pneumatics too,but like u say pneumatics in an excavator just don't work,la,s work very well in diggers where u need precise movements, Yes you do not need precise movement in a crane like 42009 but they done pneumatics already so I'd say that's why they went down this route, my main issue with 42009 is that it's nothing special,yes the outriggers are nice "big deal". It's not enough of a reason to buy this over 8421. The parts are not exciting for the price this thing will be, 1 motor,2 large la,s and a few small ones, that's not a lot! It has no really nice parts that make the price viable

    I'm i the only one that notice this? New power functions tuning set! Wonder will it have an L motor :) ? Is this true this is coming out?

    Slightly yes but nothing noticeable , the boom clicks when fully up or down but this is normal, it's the clutch in the la,s. everything works great to be honest,well worth the build.

    I'm sorry but the more i see the less impressed i am, it's just nothing special and a disappointing flagship. My first time not happy with a flagship :(

    I'm wondering was there ever one made? Even a flashing bulb that would fit into the traditional yellow beacon on 8043? I'd like something i could use on my 8043 and run it off my 8878 batterie box. Thanks.

    Well my second 8043 I'm breaking soon has stickers so i could just swap the sides over which have stickers applied already :) I'm just wondering do people think 8043 looks better with or without stickers. Ill be breaking my second one to build jurgens pf backhoe.

    Guys every year the flagship seems to leave certain functions unknown until we build it, I just think its exciting every year that we don't know 100% all functions. But this year we seem to know everything about 42009 :( do lego not keep certain functions etc secret until release ?

    Fully finished, was waiting on my bucket and i just bought 42004 for that, it works just like the real one :) everything works great too, Such a huge improvement over the standard 8043. Ill be keeping this built. Also picture instructions quiet challenging which was nice for my first every major mod. Ill be Definitely building jurgens PF backhoe next. Iv a question though for people,! Do people prefer Ultimate 8043 with or without stickers?

    Don't think you really get it, would u buy a car with no steering wheel? Manual slewing is bad bad bad :) @allan yes working the switch rite works just fine just like a real one :)

    I'm quiet disappointed the slewing is manual, it's the one thing 8421 lacked! For the size,complexity this set should have it all, Functionality mmm don't think so, they put so much attention into the rest of the model and you need to slew it buy hand :(

    Gone really off topic here guys :) anyway does anyone think TLG will make any changes to ether 42009 or 42009, or would they do so this time of year? Also iv asked but got no response, is it possible the red lever might be for the slew of the crane? I always wondered do the guys in lego actually look at these forums for feedback on new sets coming out!

    I have never ordered parts from lego but that" pick a brick "is useless, I can never find parts i want even with part numbers, maybe this is why you have to ring. Dluder how's my spelling lol :)

    Great post han and well summed up, I have to agree tho that this so is no better than 8421 apart from the outriggers.

    Allan you seem very annoyed over this crane, it's not that bad, Will u buy 42008 tho? Also you say you hate la,s , did you not say 8043 was a great set before?
