  1. Actually yellow wheels would look well, maybe a black hub cap then, iv 6 of those wheels just need 4 more :)
  2. Very nice but is there not a later version of this set with the newer cylinders? Also u need too trim them hoses they look way too long and in ur face. Nice mod by the way :)
  3. I bought 4 black wheels for my unimog , I think they were €20 new. They look so much better though :) Power puller wheels and tires and around €30 each crazy! Glad i have 4 now.
  4. You can't compare 8053 to this new crane or even 8421. You would have too much yellow then. Yellow chassis parts would be very unrealistic.
  5. I'm not very bothered about small sets, there more for kids, I mostly buy large and medium sets. I don't see the fascination with the 'baby' monster truck!
  6. Dluder i totally agree , something very wrong with that price. Icon i don't think so! Iv never in any other year seen such disappointment in people over this years flagship. And now there removing panels which makes it look even more bare. :(
  7. I made my 8110 fully rc,it worked well but not enough power from 1 XL motor, the mog is too heavy, iv put it all back standard now, A u400 cab would be nice on 9398 crawler though :)
  8. What's making it sluggish? So one track slightly struggles on the zorex too? What's the advantage of using a diff?
  9. I'm not sure what u mean? For some reason one track is driven by 8/24 which runs fine, the other that struggles runs 16/16 gears,I think this is the problem, if u change this side to 8/24 it would run too slow, there must be a reason jurgen done it this way. Do both tracks on jurgens zorex-220 drive well or have the same power?
  10. Slightly one track struggles but nothing major, worked better after giving 8878 a full charge :) Its down to the more complex gearing that's all. Great set though with this mod :)
  11. Neatly fitted a beacon bar , finishes it off nice i think :) was able to order the light and old type extension wire which plugged into the technic extension wire 8886. Maybe a single beacon might be nicer but they only come with a white base.
  12. Iv most of the parts got for this build, still waiting on some, got a small start on it tonight and the instructions are very well done. Hopefully ill have the rest of my parts this week :) @blakbird if ur looking, have u built this yet or did u only build jurgens excavator? Can't wait to get stuck in :) it's a very well designed model and very complex. Cost wise iv spent €228 euro on parts :) parts i had we're a spare 8043/8878 battery and PP wheels. I also had 1 extra XL motor and 1 extra M motor, all other PF parts were bought from lego shop, Other normal parts then from bricklink.
  13. Dokludi we have a lot of questions we need answered :) where are u!
  14. I've just payed €10 for jurgens pf backhoe instructions, his models are proper mocs though so i don't mind, iv payed a total of €228 for parts for this moc so 10€ more doesn't really matter.
  15. Well done great job, not sure i like it any more now though :) You have a great talent to do this.
  16. Now I understand, thanks blakbird. By the way AAA lithiums are 1.5v. I'll stick with my 8878 which I'm happy with now. Can I ask though, is there a proper procedure for charging draining 8878 blakbird? When i got it last week it seemed to come with a charge in it , i plugged it in when i opened it and it was charged after about 30 mins. Should i let it die now and then give it a full proper charge?
  17. Iv an order ready for €130 for pf parts, i really need too start breaking my sets for parts :(
  18. The finished product with stickers, mirror and rear engine hood.
  19. How much do u spend on power functions parts,ie lights motors etc, Also do u use the same ir controllers for all ur mocs or buy controllers for each moc?
  20. Yes but it is jurgens ultimate 8043 :) I think people are missing the point, everyone talks about standard batteries not lasting , I'm talking about lithium aaa batteries, people must have tried them no? I know my next moc (pf backhoe was designed around 8878 so will work well i hope)
  21. Well why has everyone such great things to say about 8878, that's why i bought it, even jurgen highly recommends it too! Is it best to let 8878 fully run down before recharging i wonder to get full power. Does anyone know the power output of 8878 vs these in 88000? Amps etc http://www.energizer.com/batteries/performance-lithium/ultimate-lithium/Pages/aaa.aspx
  22. Yes this has been covered before i need some answers :)! I bought 8878 because i was told by many it's great and holds its charge well, also no more buying batteries is a big bonus. I built the ultimate 8043 and love it but found it slightly lacked power, now maybe i need to fully empty 8878 and then recharge to get the full potential I'm not sure yet.(maybe someone can clarify this) Iv just played with my original 8043 which has 6 AA ultimate lithium batteries in it and it has more power and no struggle on the right track ether but does with 8878. Did i just waste 75 dollars on 8878 + charger? Would i not have more power with the €12 battery pack 88000 + 6 energiser ultimate lithium batteries which cost €14 and last a long time. Also aaa lithiums are very light so weight the same as 8878. I'm getting into building mocs and love it but is 7.2 volts enough in the likes of jurgens 8043 and his other models. I'm building jurgens PF backhoe soon and i don't want it to struggle. http://www.ebay.ie/itm/6-x-AAA-ENERGIZER-Ultimate-Lithium-Batteries-MN2400-/260769419364?pt=UK_ConsumerElectronics_Batteries_SM&hash=item3cb7119064#ht_2154wt_689 Thanks in advance. David.
