  1. I'm just after noticing something on my ultimate 8043, the right hand track struggles, u can hear the draw on the motor! Is this because its geared different to the original 8043? Iv checked all gearing and everything is fine.the reason I'm only noticing this now is i have just ran my original 8043 that i have and the right track runs much better, any ideas? Is it because now i run 7.2 volts maybe? Also my original 8043 has more power with the normal batterie box and lithium 1.5v batteries! Iv only charged my 8878 once for an hour. On the contrary the ultimate 8043 is a way way better machine. Any ideas to the above would be great thanks. David.
  2. Iv just been thinking the same, maybe 42009 might be something better than a crane :)
  3. It's a great set, probably one of the best flagships,u should consider keeping it :)
  4. Just use jurgens instructions. No need for L motors in this, it works great. And the xl motor works well for lifting the boom. Also iv just bought 8878 battery and its great, no more buying dam batteries :)
  5. I built it from my second 8043, it's not very exciting and not as nice as the a-model. It's also drives way too fast. For anyone that has 8043, built jurgens ultimate 8043 it's amazing :)
  6. It's a realistic set. People need to get over the crashing boom :) it's all about how u work it! As for la,s I'm starting to come around :)
  7. If you had 8421 u would change ur mind , it's a great set and a technic icon and will never be replaced. There's a reason it's so expensive to buy :)
  8. I'm after spending €140 on bricklink for parts for jurgens PF backhoe. Iv about €120 power functions motors etc to buy next, I don't like breaking up my flagships to build mocs, I do have a spare 8043 ill break to help build this. I also have some spare power functions parts and i also have 8466 so have the pp wheels. With my 8043 and pp wheels it's still costing around €260 to build, am I made and should i be breaking sets to build mocs? Iv also built the ultimate 8043 and don't want to break that ether now :) I could use most parts from this but i love it too much to dismantle! What do others do in this case? And have u spend much in bricklink to build any large mocs?
  9. I hope it was all worth it in the end :)
  10. Ok I'm nearly done ordering for the pf backhoe,I'm 3 hours doing it :( very frustrating but I'm learning how to use bricklink, Iv a quick question tho, the yellow panels for each side of the bonnet are not easy get, some shops have only one side and others have a huge min buy, also there nearly €5 each, would dark grey look stupid on it? Part 43350/43351 Also an other part that's expensive and rare in yellow is the soft axles 14 , :( part number 32201 , there's only one shop with more than 1 and his min buy is huge too! Could i just use any colour as there inside the mud guards? This is painstaking guys, this moc is an easy €250 + using my 8043 and i have the PP wheels and some PF parts already.
  11. Ok this is getting very frustrating :( I'm buying parts for jurgens PF backhoe, iv over half the parts ordered but the rest are in lots of differant shops. Could someone please help me out. I can't understand why there's not a list of shops with a huge selection of technic parts. There are some parts in this moc that are rare too. Could someone give me a list of bricklink shops with a huge selection of parts please? ;)
  12. I'm looking to buy LA's for a moc I'm doing but there expensive on bricklink , I'm wondering how much they cost from lego direct?
  13. Does anyone know how much the new type 8043 LA's are off lego?
  14. No side effects, anything with silicone is fine on any rubber, that product dluder posted is very good also.
  15. Try a silicone spray u use on car tires and dashes. Something like ,back to black, etc
  16. I also find ordering parts quiet frustrating on brick link , u have to use so many shops, the copy and paste from rebrickable is a great idea but when u add it to a shop it shows u all the parts that shop has, but doesn't show u the parts that shop doesn't have! Also i find it frustrating that the shipping time from some shops is soooo slow :( It would be great if someone listed say the top 10 brick link shops that carry the most technic parts, this would make it a lot easier on us when ordering for mocs. Blakbird is correct though that more people are building mocs now that instructions are more available. Also I'm a collector so i hate breaking sets for parts unless they are small sets I'm not very interested in, Sets iv broke for parts are the hauler and the tractor and log trailer.
  17. I thought u might have parted it out already, what u building next? I'm still unsure about the stickers ill see :) Edit:spelling fixed to keep dluder happy!
  18. Very true sapo :) have u still got ur 8043 built? Do you have the stickers on urs? I'm going to start collecting parts for jurgens PF backhoe soon!
  19. Thanks for putting up the picture sapo, I added the black sides to make it look exactly like the real jcb js330. If anyone didn't know we figured out this was the real machine exactly like 8043 :) lego Definitely went off the js330 as its the most similar. http://www.motorstown.com/imgs/58449-jcb-js-330-2.html
