    This is absolutely amazing! - I keep finding new clever bits of detail....when the LDD etc is ready this is so going to be my top MOC project! Fantastic and thanks for sharing with us.

    I find that the Lego B&P service is very slow and updates are rare if any, but they always do arrive - but they do seem to take a lot longer than advertised....for that amount of different in money I'd give them a few more days.

    Be good to see yours once your windscreen pieces arrives. That stand looks good - could you share a shot of just the stand?

    Hi Midlife-crisis, I did the same thing last year - initially I swapped the hard to get canopy parts for the trans-blue and white options, but then decided it looked pants and swapped for a revised build - see this link below. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=112347&hl=10129 I went for the two trans-black clips - works well imo. Cjd223 did the swap with the 72475 but after trying it I went for a different combo, and added some flat tiles to smooth it all out a bit.

    Looks good, I have to admit to being a bit 'meh' on the red/black special forces scheme....the original look works best for me.

    Looks good, can't wait to see you finish it off - I like the overall proportions, shame about the dome windscreen not working - I prefer that one.

    I'm not on instagram - does it look like the same flawed x-wing build? wrong wings etc?

    Well one for the future then. Painting pieces can work but I'm not sure it would be that effective in this colour - I've used plasti-kote for some MOCs for dark red, white and other base colours. Of course its not purist.
