  1. I can only begin to imagine the manchildren booming on about how they've been scammed and should be given the new tyres for free if TLC decided to change them I feel like it's a pretty reasonable claim. - Liebherr gets delayed little over half a year before next year's 1H sets get released. - Hey, let's begin developing a 1K piece replacement set that'll only be released at earliest the same time as next year's 1H sets. I reeeaaaally don't think TLC will be adding another surprise set and risk saturating a lineup whose size they've already deemed is the most profitable.
  2. Product cycle takes ages dude. They're not gonna suddenly divert company resources that are occupied with next year's sets to rush development of another set just because a product got delayed... You get what you get, beyond good product value you're not entitled to expect anything.
  3. Bloody hell I know, right? I dislike the guy's soyjak expression as much as anyone else, but at least he doesn't live rent free in my head. Just live and let live...
  4. Bloody hell, touche. My space shuttle's already baking in the UV lol
  5. Yellow cyls worked perfectly fine on the Arocs. Perfect to contrast the red crane and add some flavour to the grey/white
  6. I'm gonna go stab myself in the eyes with a pen. I much prefer the white
  7. Oh hey not bad, I dig the sliding engine cowlings, good for access. I also like how fast the rotors spin, looks real good
  8. Are these two sentences not contradictory? Just look at the photos or set description on TLG's site, there's a proper swashplate.
  9. Very nice. There's probably people that might object to TLG producing even more parts with such specialized applications, but it's safe to say that current official transmissions are unwieldy and inefficient for play. I'm surprised that no clone company has taken this approach yet. Maybe someone can convince CaDA
  10. I'm impressed. Despite the fact that it looks somewhere between a Barramundi fish and a shoe, I would actually consider buying this set. I'm looking forward to reviews. I doubt they'll have the main rotor spinning fast enough for the blades to generate any appreciable thrust.
  11. Ah true, totally forgot it has to be pulled. Yeah fair enough
  12. Can someone explain to me why the MLA is needed? Can a similar assembly not be built using connectors?
  13. Damn, now all they need is a ratchet plate for the other side and then we'll finally have a 3-DOF ratchet joint, perfect for mech hip joints
  14. The slip case is besides the point though. We're talking about people misinterpreting the set to be a limited production run.
  15. I AM sure. It would be monumentally stupid of LEGO to have a limited run of a set like this. It’s only referring to the car and I’ll bet my left nut on that.
  16. I have neither but from my POV the buggy offers more interesting pieces, with its suspension links, springs and tyres. 42140 while interesting, is a bit plain in the parts offering imo, except for maybe the gears. Tracks are a bit of a snooze imo, especially after all the hundreds of tracked RC vehicles during the PF era
  17. I think you should try it out. You'll get more torque with smaller wheels anyway so the performance will improve. Other than that I do love a good crawler crane MOC, so great job
  18. But the issue still stands that you’d have to sacrifice either the derrick or the jib winch
  19. Far too small, no? Don’t they both use the same rim?
  20. No idea what the thought process was, but I don't really care though to be honest, especially since CaDA's excavator looks better than Lego's one.
  21. To be fair, that’s just two small sets so it’s clear it’s very uncommon for them. The rest of their range is pretty much original
  22. It’s not copied, it’s an original design. It has a far larger footprint than 42006
  23. Proportion and shape should always outweigh not having holes imo. Personally I think holes in bodywork are a ridiculously overblown issue. What’s the point in covering it all up if you mute the important body lines and accents?
