I'm not sure I'd agree on the complexity aspect. Even if you ignore the trailer, the crane alone provides the same number of functions as the Arocs. It's far more complex than the Volvo loader anyhow. I could totally see them charging Zetros prices for a model with RC drive, suspension and manual PU crane + outriggers. Without a trailer it'd totally be possible imo. I think you should add it to the list, especially if the bucket wheel trencher is also there despite having limited appeal. That being said, I think (and hope) we'd sooner see a logging truck with a trailer at a Mack Anthem (49.5mm) scale. Oh man what I would give for a fully manual, pneumatic, 49.5mm scale set of this

Actually no I'll retract that. From Sariel's review the rear suspension travel is fine, it's just the sagging front axle that reduces the available travel on the rear axle. -
I completely disagree. This piece begs investigation because it's confusing. It hides away the solution and forces a child to brainstorm ideas about how it could actually work. Furthermore, any child playing with this spring that gives a shit will at some point realise that they can compress the blue spring fairly easily, upon which: "I know how springs work, but this big blue one isn't actually what's causing it to work. I wonder what's going on here". Yes there is, they could be transparent to allow us to see the worm mechanism.

Actually nah, after watching Sariel's video properly, it looks very flimsy. The sag on the front fork is an instant disqualification for me -

Regardless of improvements, 1:8 cars are shelf queens anyway. They’re terribly unwieldy. -

Gotta say, I’m pretty impressed by it, even if it’s missing the side view mirrors. I’m a fan of the stepper gearbox. The suspension travel could be better on the rear axle though tbh. I’d be really tempted to get it on sale if I was in a position to -

Doubt there’d be space for six gears. -

Oh damn I had no idea they were already plastic. I wonder if there's a better way to design them that doesn't have a really thin neck -

Hell yes, I want this so badly too. Cables would allow for a lot of possibility with functions. It'd be even better if they can accomplish it with plastic cables rather than metal wire, because then it could be cheap -
I wouldn't go as far as to say it's futile - it's definitely possible to make some nice stuff. We see heaps of examples all the time, after all. I just think that such a hardline stance on something being or not being the way to build Technic cars to be a bit... inelegant. But granted, it's only presented as an opinion, if a strong one.
