  1. I could see these being very useful pieces as well. Also, the inverse of these slopes would be nice.
  2. You're not wrong. As would I. A fully armored bigfig with a lot of printing / molding (like Hulk's arm from Ragnarok). It would certainly be worth it. I am not a fan at all of the Infinity War version of Thanos, especially now having seen the movie. I really hope for a better one later. Something like this custom, but maybe better molding: As for the Ant Man and the Wasp set, I love it and will definitely be getting one.
  3. And I'm of the opposite view. I don't mind some reissues now and then. I'm not either, though I do have some things I hold onto for resale. I am not the type of person to speculate on the LEGO market and hope to make a 100-200% profit on large sets, and while I appreciate these people keeping sets around and available, I think their practices are distasteful. So in that spirit, I enjoy seeing highly sought after sets return for sale officially from LEGO. This is where I stand. There are a lot of great fan favorites that would still be much appreciated by today's crowd, and I think there would be more people happily buying the sets than there would be grumbling misers.
  4. Thanks for the picture of the marbling. As subtle as it is, it's still impressive.
  5. Wow, very sorry to hear it. You were one of the few like-minded individuals on this forum, and your presence will be missed. I must admit that I feel much the same way you do about Castle, and about LEGO offering little to nothing for people like us. I have found less and less that interests me as far as that goes, and I grasp at the few straws that are given. So while I hate to see someone leave the hobby behind, I completely understand the decision. I wish you the best in your other hobbies and in your life. Hope to see you back soon, reveling in another Castle theme with us.
  6. Nice part usage with the bowties and Slytherin decal. Great character! It seems so effortlessly and expertly built, like all of your characters. Good job!
  7. You've made some good points here. First, you're right, and I was largely adding in Kingdoms and Fantasy Era because they 'feel' like they are directed to an older audience. They seem a bit more heavily weighted in the direction of bigger, pricier sets. But maybe that's just a perception. The color scheme is the greatest factor, which brings me to your second good point. That would be the idea that a color scheme of aesthetic that is more mature or appeals more to AFOLs can also work when the sets are targeting a younger age range. I still feel that the next Castle theme should target the older age ranges targeted by Tolkien, Ninjago, and Nexo Knights, using a color scheme more akin to Tolkien, Kingdoms, and Fantasy Era, and building techniques at the level of complexity of Nexo Knights, Creator Expert, or UCS sets, and including at least one large D2C type set. That's the sweet spot I hope they aim for.
  8. I love the lineup of minifigures, particularly the knights. That black knight is a simple but effective design.
  9. And how were they? I went to see Ready Player One. I was surprised by how different it was from the book. I expected differences, but had no idea it would be quite as different as it was. That said, I still enjoyed it. It was a reasonably good adaptation, and overall a good experience.
  10. If I were in charge of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I would have waited to do the Infinity Gauntlet storyline until after I had established the Silver Surfer. But that's just me, a huge Silver Surfer fan.
  11. I'm a big fan of Andes Arrival from James Horner's 1988 score for Vibes:
  12. Aside from minifigures, I can't think of any pieces from media that should be considered 'impossible' to see in real LEGO.
  13. This is a tremendously fun looking set. They really went for it, and it looks great. It reminds me of the generic coasters at Six Flags, the Great American Scream Machine in New Jersey, or the Blue Hawk (when it was known as the Ninja) in Georgia. Of course, there are no loops here, but the idea is the same, this is your basic rollercoaster. My favorite little feature is the use of the beehive in pink as cotton candy. That's clever.
  14. That dude in the gold armor is nice and all, but I just want the armor piece to be available on Bricks & Pieces.
  15. I'm old enough to have watched a lot of Flintstones as well, and I'm sort of surprised it hasn't been done yet. And for what it's worth, this is exactly the set that I imagine LEGO would have produced if they ever did a Flintstones set.
  16. That looks great. You have captured him perfectly.
  17. Those 2 sets are Pirate inspired, but definitely not Pirates themed. Hoping for a legit Pirates theme soon!
  18. I feel the same about this one. I'm so anxious to see it! That Flintstones project isn't bad. Nothing I'm too excited about, but it's a good representation of the materials, and it's a decent looking set.
  19. This is fantastic, and I've definitely supported it. I love that the old panel piece was included. Panels can work well when used properly, and this looks great. The terrain is fantastic, and those huge towers in the front are awesome. I agree with BrickJagger that the back keep area could have been a little bigger, and my own criticism is the lack of the chimney from the original set. Aside from that, this is tremendously good work. Keep them coming! Nice job!
  20. I know it's not what you are talking about, but I wouldn't mind a Sword Suit!
  21. I picked one up at an American Toys R Us a little bit ago.
