  1. A car would not work as a minifigure. Unless you want it to have legs, arms, and a head, it's not likely to happen. This isn't a "Characters" series, it's a "Minifigure" series.
  2. Wallace & Gromit would be great indeed. I'm sure it's already been said, but I'd love to see a Jim Henson license. We could get Muppets, and that would be great. I'm a fan of Beaker and the Swedish Chef, Statler and Waldorf, and many others. Sesame Street would be great for the children. I'd love a Cookie Monster or an Elmo myself. There is a wealth of diverse characters to choose from, and several iconic elements that could become great sets. But even better would be great classic properties like Dark Crystal and Labyrinth. I'd also like to mention another old movie. The Neverending Story could be a fun property license to obtain with many unique characters, locations, and more. Yeah, I spent this rainy Saturday watching '80's fantasy movies.
  3. It would be ridiculous to include characters from Cars.
  4. If they did a mammoth, I'd hope it wouldn't be brick-built. They could update the old elephant:
  5. I'd love a Banana Suit Guy!
  6. Using the list posted earlier, I found the title Master of Revels, which is probably the closest. The Master of Revels was an official in charge of court entertainment, and later of the theaters. While I'm not involved in government, nor am I an official, my job is closely related. I work in television, making sure that the flow of entertainment is continuous.
  7. It may be a new color, but the blue has much less potential use than the typical Pearl Greys.
  8. Looks like it might be the case with the green knight, but the big yellow guy looks to have them included on the helmet.
  9. I recognize all of those points, you're very right. Many of the worst projects are indeed one-offs, and some of the best do come from prolific designers. Alatariel is a good designer, and even has another very popular project right now. I feel that if this designer is so good that you will approve multiple projects from them, it might be better to offer them a position as a designer. Then again, maybe they have. Either way, I'm glad that LEGO has the Ideas program, and that so many designs have been successfully made into products. I'd really like to see something Castle / fantasy / medieval get through their process, but that's just my personal feelings. It seems most approved products are modern or science fiction.
  10. Yeah, it would be great if those that knew something could confirm some of our guesses. Or maybe we just haven't been guessing right.
  11. No, they're saying that most animals aren't minifigures. Unless you want them all anthropomorphized, I doubt we would see them in a Collectible Minifigure series.
  12. I only voted for 3, but the Robie House is my favorite. I think it's a great design, a great LEGO interpretation, and it has the best value for me in terms of useful bricks.
  13. It might do nothing. Some designers might be really good, and make several high quality projects. I was thinking it would cut out the number of weak projects, or make people focus more time and effort on refining their projects since they would have a limited number at any given time. One thing that upsets me (slightly) is that one person can have their projects chosen multiple times, leaving other people unable to have success, considering the small number of projects that make it to the product stage. Not sure if this is related to my statements above, but it's another concern. I like the idea of spreading the wealth and joy of the Ideas concept around, allowing many talented designers the opportunity to see their projects come to life.
  14. Good points. It seems to be a new version of this kind of helmet, as it has the cheek guards and sectioned top (at least from what I can tell in the artistic image).
  15. To clarify, I think it's this piece: Space Helmet with Open Visor, as seen in the CMF Galaxy Patrol and Alien Avenger. A Space Helmet would be appropriate to the theme. It'll be nice to get it in a few new colors, but I'd really hope for Pearled Grey colors as they would be much more useful for Castle minifigures.
  16. They would likely all be people in suits, which would make them very similar. My list is mostly fantasy / mythology / medieval. I'm not that into the City stuff as others. It's a definite influence.
  17. I was looking at old series thinking the same thing. There were only 3 Ocean Kings and Aztec Warriors in their series. There were only 2 Fortune Tellers and Forest Maidens in their series, but 5 Policemen. There were only 2 Bumblebee Girls and Medusas, but 6 Skydivers in their series. And on that last one, there were only 2 Trendsetters and Sea Captains. All these rare minifigures tend to have new molds, like the Medusa tail, Bee wings, Chihuahua, and Seagull. So perhaps cost is a bigger factor.
  18. These are 2 leading contenders for me. I'd love to see them!
  19. Most Disney characters will require new molds.
  20. The idea here is to avoid 10,000+ piece builds that are unrealistic and unfeasible as a product. The upcoming massive Ghostbusters Headquarters is less than half the pieces and will be selling for $350, and it's the biggest they've ever done (to my knowledge). I doubt they will release a $700+ set any time soon, no matter how many votes it gets. Maybe I'm wrong, though. I do like the other idea you have, about limiting the number of active projects. I think it would work out, as the majority of people wouldn't use multiple accounts. The ability to close your own project would also be nice to have.
  21. Same here, and I don't think we'd be the only ones!
  22. I bought a Duplo gift for my niece's 2nd birthday. Gotta hook 'em while they're young!
