I don't think they've done much more than 1 or 2 trans pieces per minifigure before. If they make Merlok 2.0 completely trans, that would be a first. And I would love to have him in my collection. About dragons, I don't think it will matter. Elves dragons are cutesy and girly, Ninjago dragons are eastern in design, I think any Nexo Knights dragons would be western in design. And Nexo Knights will probably get, if anything, a brick-built techno dragon. I should think so.

One of my favorite Star Wars characters, I love the look of the Storm Commandos. Scout Troopers are awesome, but even better in all black.

Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion
x105Black replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
I don't think a Disney theme would have to supercede a Disney Princesses theme, but to be honest I hope it would. Minidolls are a tragedy. I would have purchased several more Friends, Elves, and Disney Princess sets if it weren't for the lack of minifigures. Seeing Disney princess characters as minifigures would be a fantastic upgrade, even if it is just for a CMF series. If they continue with the minidoll Princess line, I still don't think that would make Disney themed sets with princesses an impossibility. I believe both could coexist, with the Disney sets more focused on the movies and the Princesses focused on the cutesy girly versions that they've been doing (like Jasmine with a tiger cub instead of a full grown tiger).- 4,155 replies

I'd agree here. The high-tech Nexo Knights are unlikely to have medieval styled buildings.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion

I don't think this version of Macy will be around until at least the 2nd wave, so it would be perfectly suitable to use that piece first in a CMF series in January. New minifigure pieces are routinely introduced in the CMF series, then used later. Nexo Knights is reusing the CMF King's crown and beard, so I could see the same happening here. -

I really hope we do see some princesses in this theme, because the minidolls do not integrate well with any other LEGO themes.- 4,155 replies

It would be nice to see official reveals of the rest of this theme, rather than looking at the poor leaked catalog images. But I'm very happy with the reveal so far. They've shown us a lot of stuff. And I'm happy to see this topic where it belongs.

Most sets have adequate packaging, but I don't really like how my instruction booklet gets all bent.

I suppose I was hopeful for them to be different, since they clearly are. I thought that the inclusion of 2013 Castle theme, which is now gone, meant that there was a clear differentiation between them.

This skirt from the Nexo Knights cartoon would look great as the bottom of Belle's yellow ball gown: Although I'd prefer to have Belle in her street clothes. Or even better, this fur-lined, hooded outfit:- 4,155 replies

It looks like they used that Marie Antoinette concept in the Nexo Knights cartoon for their princess Macy: Maybe we'll eventually see this piece in use as a skirt. Maybe Marie Antoinette (or a similar minifigure) will become a CMF. -

I noticed this as well, and it actually gives me hope that we'll see some sets with medieval styled civilians. That would be the highlight of the theme for me. -
I didn't think of it as embarrassing so much as showing off how their tech is advanced. And I don't think it has anything to do with the Castle fans that hate this theme. You'll notice they did this to other characters as well, not just classic Castle knights. However, viewing these videos showed me a few more things. They're showing a new skirt piece here for Macy in her princess gown: The outfit is a bit futuristic, but possibly still useful. I wonder if we will be seeing this type of skirt in the future, or this version of Macy in a future set. Here's this guy again, this time as an archer: I like this guy, and wonder if he's a recurring character on the show. If so, maybe we'll see a set with him in the future. He looks a bit more like the Robin Hood figure a lot of people were hoping for, albeit slightly futuristic with that bright blue color and line pattern. Still, he's one of the better looking characters so far. Then there's this guy: That's a nice design that could be very useful for Castle themed building. I hope we see more of these civilian type characters, as they have a lot more potential for me than any of the sci-fi knights. This is not what makes them childish. It's the design aesthetic. It's the personality and tone. And yes, there were some more childish, unsophisticated sets in Castle (and definitely in Space) over the years. As a whole, however, I feel that Nexo Knights is considerably more childish, thematically, than most Caslte waves. Basically this. The concept itself is what's more childish. And about the idea that this theme is or isn't a Castle theme: In my opinion, this screenshot from the LEGO website is as close as we can get to an official statement on the matter, which is that they are not the same. It also highlights the glaring differences between the concepts, which are only superficially similar. I'm hoping that by keeping the Castle theme there, we can expect an actual Castle theme sometime in the near future. That gives me a lot of hope. Then again, they only show sets from the 2013 wave, and neither Castle nor Nexo Knights appear on their shopping site. Either way, I'm holding out hope that they will release a good Castle wave sometime soon, maybe 2017, since it will have been 4 years since the last one in 2013.

It looks as though the armor has no decal, and in fact has a hole in the chest. The heraldry is part of the minifigure's torso print, and it shows through that hole. Personally, I feel that this makes the armor much less useful. I wonder, for those fans of the classic Castle / Space hybrids, if the old minifigures with heraldry on their chest would work the same way. For example, do you think that this heraldry would line up with the hole? Sadly, I think the hole is positioned too high and is too small to accommodate the classic Castle figures. The only armor with a decal belongs to Axl. Which set is he in?

I like these 2 minifigures the best out of the entire theme, so far: I couldn't care less about their armor and accessories, but the figures themselves are very nice. I wish the guy on the right didn't have claws on his toes, but he's an overall cool design. What set is he in? The guy on the left, my favorite so far, is unfortunately in Fortrex, so even if I want to buy him on the secondary market I will likely be paying more than someone should be expected to pay for a single minifigure. The robots are so ridiculous. I just don't like them. Neat new arm piece, I suppose, but overall I think they were done poorly and primitively. Then again, the fact that they made a farmer version is kind of funny. I think the young girl is holding a gaming device (or a Game Boy, if you're old like me). People were told not to discuss renaming and moving the topic. I think that similarly, people should not be told their opinions are unwelcome here. But that's just me, and I feel like all opinions, for or against, are valid.

That transformation looked like the only really dark thing going on. Overall, the tone felt very light in both trailers. At least, that's how I felt about it. -
The Baby Blue Knights would look much better if they weren't Baby Blue, but other than that the design is pretty solid.
