Welcome to Eurobricks! LDD is a great place to test out ideas. I use it while I'm waiting to acquire all the pieces I want. So I use it more frequently than I'd prefer... Hope you enjoy your time here.

Could be replacing Gandalf, but if the other characters have movies it could just be replacing them with new versions. If that is so, it might just be a new Gandalf, maybe without the hat or Gandalf the White.

I did notice that. They seem to have cheek guards. No matter for me, I rarely use any colors other than Pearled Greys, but it could be a sign of what might come in the next Castle line when it comes out.

Not a bad idea. I wish I had the money for that. Even a low labor cost would add up over time. My pockets aren't that deep, but maybe the pockets of the world's most powerful brand would be? Maybe there should be a minimum and maximum piece count, and when you post the project it will be automatically denied if it doesn't fit those parameters? That would be a start. And maybe filter by piece count as well.

LEGO has done a Western theme before. I wouldn't mind seeing that come back, because I could use all of the native figures for my own purposes!

Well of course not. It would be nice if there were some way to filter through it though, you must admit. I'd rather people just not post them, ultimately. Then there would be no need for such software. These projects are very unlikely to get approval, I don't see why people would think to post them.

I think he was supposed to be like Vlad the Impaler (who wore armor), and this conversation is just like the myth. Was Vlad a Vampire? Maybe, who knows? Was Basil a Vampire? Maybe, who knows?

Very interesting interview, thanks for sharing! One thing that caught my attention: He says that part of the idea behind the Creator Expert Modular Building series was a fan desire for more Castle sets and building techniques. So they took the idea of the building techniques, but abandoned everything Castle. I'd really love for them to make more Castle products, and if they did them to this scale, it would be the most fantastic thing LEGO has ever done. I hope that they understand that there is an audience for this type of construction outside of the City / Town setting, and an avid (rabid) fanbase in the Castle setting.

I just wish people would stop posting objectively terrible projects and ludicrously large projects. If only there were filters for that.

This says it all. I think it's a new Plume piece. I hope so, anyways, because it is one of the few pieces I actually like. I just wish it wasn't in the silly podracer set.

When it comes to resale, definitely. You want either a complete minifigure, or you want all of the individual parts. When it comes to my own LEGO, just about everything has been taken apart and re-purposed.

Hopefully they would do a full-sized dragon, like Smaug or the Red Dragon from Castle 2013. I'd much prefer that, personally.

That's very strange, because I get no He-Man vibe at all (and I was kind of hoping for it with the way the discussion was going). He-Man has a great stone castle in Castle Greyskull. It's definitely not a tank. And he is a barbarian, not an over-armored cyber-knight. And he's got a rad green tiger. There's tech there, certainly, especially when you get to the Kingdom of Eternia and some of the techy heroes, but most of the best elements are otherworldly fantasy. The villains are all vastly different. One is a beast, another is a sea creature, another is a lobster-man, and yet another is a bee. There are no lava-creatures to be found, from what I can remember. Anyways, I'm glad you're enjoying it as a fellow He-Man fan.

Roger Radcliffe could come with Pongo, while Anita could have Perdita. Bambi could come with (*gasp*) the Hunter. I see the point, though. I'd like to see Mufasa, Scar, and Rafiki, but only one of those could be done well as a minifigure without looking like something out of Chima. And I'd love to see a real full-grown deer like the Great Prince of the Forest from Bambi done like a horse instead of brick-built, but I don't see it in a CMF series. Maybe this series is a further attempt to gauge the potential of Disney LEGO beyond the minidoll princesses, and additional sets may become available later.

My guess is somewhere between them. I'm guessing a new torso piece, and the arms and head attach to it. Not sure if the armor would be a different piece / pieces or if it would be part of the torso / arms.

OK, I'll take a shot here: 01. Mickey 02. Minnie 03. Donald 04. Daisy 05. Goofy 06. Maleficent 07. Sully 08. Merida 09. Pocahontas 10. Peter Pan 12. Mowgli 13. Jafar 14. Aladdin 15. Ariel 16. Stitch Combination of things I expect (1-5), and things I want. I put Ariel on there. I'm torn, I kind of want her as a mermaid, but also as a human. I'd also like Ursula as a sea witch, as well as the black haired Ariel look-alike. Also, someone has mentioned the Sorcerer's Apprentice before, and I'd prefer that Mickey (with broom and bucket), but I expect that a normal Mickey would come with Pluto and that dog is my favorite of the Mickey gang. I also didn't list Chernobog as I see him as very unlikely, but that would be my number 1 wish for this series. Favorite Disney character.

That's what I really want to know. I want a new Castle theme. About the number of heroes: If you include Sensei Wu as a Ninjago hero, shouldn't you include Merlok as a Nexo Knights hero?

Maleficent would be fantastic! I'd really like to see a Black and Purple dragon (not brick-built) at some point down the road as well. I'd also be keen to get Pocahontas or Mulan. My main interest is in historical or fantasy characters as well, but there are some characters from Disney films I do like, which is why I mentioned Ariel and Sully in my previous post.
