  1. Just finished Ray Bradbury's The Illustrated Man.
  2. Please bring back Castle.

  3. Yes, the baby head on Scooby body looks fantastic.
  4. Fair enough. And the Birds and Maze products could fit into the pandering as well, although appealing to slightly smaller crowds. But I guess I consider pandering to AFOLs a good use of the Ideas platform.
  5. I think it's fitting. Those 2 also go well with the Ice Queen (mine is currently displayed battling a Wampa).
  6. And plays to the fans love of classic themes...
  7. Actually my biggest gripe is addressed here. If it were a generic space exploration set that happened to predominantly focus on females, I would definitely get behind it. If that was the project, it would be more about space exploration or NASA than about pandering to a feminist audience. All other space exploration sets that came from Ideas had male minifigures, but none were called "Men of NASA," or "Men of Apollo 11," or anything of the sort. The fact that there have been no sets where the focus is on the gender of the individuals makes this one stand out more as pandering. It's also combining all of these women and their accomplishments into one set, reducing them to the single accomplishment of "Women can explore space too!" While yes, there is a focus on the accomplishments of these women (which is definitely an important thing to take not of), the bigger focus is on the fact that they are women. That's my problem. Anyways, I've probably talked more about this than I intended to at this point. Ultimately, I'd be happy to see the set hit the shelves. I just can't get away from the feeling that this only exists to placate feminists.
  8. Yeah, I don't really think of those as minifigures. They are parts that are used to make a character.
  9. I am most certainly a feminist, but I feel like the "Women of NASA" project is pandering. Do we need more representations of females in LEGO, and an encouragement of female role models? Yes, absolutely. Is a "Women of" anything set the way to go about it? I don't think it is. There are many more ways of being inclusive and positive. There are many more ways of portraying the equality that feminism supports. That said, I wouldn't be upset if the set passes review. I just don't personally think it has that kind of potential as an Ideas project.
  10. I prefer the Arabian Knight name to Desert Warrior, but Serenader always bothered me for the Mariachi.
  11. Mr. Sausage is pretty funny, but I don't find it to be a viable project for LEGO Ideas.
  12. It's not the Mona Lisa I find unlikely, it's the Da Vinci. The regular CMF series already had a generic Artist (series 4). Maybe when the next LEGO Movie series comes around, if Da Vinci features in the film, we have a chance of getting him. Still, a Vitruvian Man on a 2x2 tile would be cool.
  13. A version of the flags set with actual printed flags would be nice, but these brick-built monstrosity flags will never wave in the breeze.
  14. Well I guess those Brick Head things are worth something after all! A "Da Vinci" type character with a 2x3 Mona Lisa tile would be nice to find in the future, but I wouldn't guess this series. Even a generic artist wouldn't work, as it has been done before. I'll make a guess: Pirate Woman.
  15. Everything is well stocked in my area. No way of telling if that means it's selling or not.
  16. That's the assumption. I'm hoping it turns up in new sets featuring Han in 2017.
  17. I like these a lot. They fit in really nicely with the MMV, and compliment it well. The style used is very similar, which makes them feel like real LEGO sets. I understand your frustrations with color issues, but you've found some good solutions. Overall, the builds are really nice, and have a lot of nice details to them. I love the Magic Shop, with the brooms, hats, potions, and books. The use of the iron bars in the Armorer's Shop is a nice touch, as well. Nice work!
  18. I love the Wookiee mold in white, I just wish it wasn't printed with red and green. But I'll agree it's better than previous years. It would be as much a shame not to include the new hair with every Han moving forward as it was not to include arm printing on Boba Fett, which is to say it would be a huge shame not to include that hair in other sets. That would be great. I wonder if that will finally come in the Death Star. Me, too.
  19. Yes, the printed arms would be very nice. Especially if they do a new version with the subtle changes from ESB to ROTJ, but even if not. And that version of Boba isn't enough of a draw, either. I'm hoping for a high quality Boba Fett. Especially if it's a molded Bantha. I would love that so much! I'm already happy to see a Tusken, but a Bantha would put me over the top. I agree on both counts: The hair looks great, and the advanced techniques for his legs are desperately needed. But this will be a nice Han to get in 2017. That could be interesting!
  20. Nobody has any idea. You'll only hear assumptions, if anything. Some will say that shelves are empty or sell out, others will say that shelves are full and people are disinterested. No conclusive answers either way.
  21. They would send a random sealed minifigure. Agreed. Especially in light of all of the discussions about stickers vs printing.
  22. It's funny you noticed, since it was only like that for about 5 minutes (if that). Anyways, I just don't like the BANANA! Sticker print. It would have been better if they had made it an actual sticker.
